## Jamf Reviews
  ### 1. Top Rated MDM Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim T. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

JAMF offers an array of feature-rich products that are easy to configure and deploy. In addition, JAMF updates are released before Apple releases software upgrades. It's great to have support in JAMF for Apple's new features before they are released. This allows us to identify and test the impact of new features and prepare ahead of an upgrade. Finally, their customer support is the best of any software company I've worked with!

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Nothing! I haven't had a bad experience with Jamf.

**Recommendations to others considering Jamf:**

Compare the other vendors who have similar products and choose the one that will best suit your needs. However, you will not find a better Mac Management tool on the market or a company with better customer support.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our school district is using iPads for our 1:1 program. Each student has an iPad, every teacher has an iPad and MacBook, we have iMacs in our high school libraries, six Mac labs, and every classroom has and Apple TV; all managed with Jamf Pro. This equates to over 15,000 devices we manage. We have one Jamf administrator who can manage all of these devices using JAMF Pro effectively and in a timely manner. Without JAMF we wouldn't be able to support our staff and students as effectively and efficiently as we do.

  ### 2. Jamf Cloud Makes Apple Environment Setup and Migration Seamless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor P. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

In my experience, setting up an apple environment with Jamf Cloud has been great. Allowing for a small customer to setup the preferred workflows and modify them quickly is a must for our organization and with policies and config profiles this has been easy for me as the Jamf admin. Scoping devices how we see fit is also a key feature.

I have had to migrate our entire environment from an on premise to Jamf cloud. Integrating all this was a good experience and the jamf platform has made this possible.

The cost has not been an issue so far for our organization. We look for stability over new quality of life features. Downtime has never been an issue so this has made the cost of Jamf something to always leverage with management.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

My biggest growing pain with the Jamf suite is Operating system updates and upgrades. DDM and native Jamf tools have shown low completions when attempting to use. Often resulting to 3rd party tools and scriptint to enforce and ensure completion of OS updates.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy management and overall view of our apple environment.

  ### 3. Efficient Mac Management with Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I love Jamf's aggressive stance on adopting Apple's features, as they often support new features in management on day one. Their dedication to integrating Macs into enterprise environments by leveraging connections with Apple and Microsoft is impressive. The adoption of Declarative Device Management was a huge impact for us, making software updates go from patchy to relatively complete, and Jamf has supported this since Apple released it.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The user interface is dated, which is the downside of being such an established product. While Jamf emphasizes adding new features and capabilities quickly, the interface design has not kept up either aesthetically or in terms of ease of use. Although I appreciate that developer time isn't wasted on shiny interface stuff, it is time for a bit of polish and updating on the way Jamf is used by human admins accessing it through the web interface.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to integrate MacOS into a Windows environment, ensure device security and compliance, and manage software updates reliably. Its early adoption of Apple's features enhances our enterprise use, making Macs functional business tools.

  ### 4. User-Friendly and Automated Efficiency with Jamf

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I find Jamf incredibly user-friendly, especially from the administrative side of things. It's much more approachable compared to other options like SCCM and group policy. The barrier to entry for a new CIS admin is remarkably low. I also appreciate that Jamf simplifies the initial setup process, which was much easier than anticipated and worked more or less out of the box. Additionally, Jamf effectively automates a lot of manual processes for device management, allowing us to turn manual processes into automated ones to a pretty excellent and granular degree.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Some of the more recent features like Mac app deployment don't provide as much feedback when things go wrong, and they don't allow as accurate of scoping as things like policies and mobile configurations do. I would love to see that improve.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to automate manual processes like device building and configuration, managing our endpoints efficiently. It helps transform tasks into automated actions with excellent precision.

  ### 5. Intuitive Mac Management with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth E. | Assistant Director and Infrastructure Lead - CFA-IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I find Jamf intuitive and easy to use, especially when compared to SCCM. It allows me to accomplish 95% of what I want with our Mac fleet. I appreciate how I spend less time problem-solving the tool itself and more time actually doing the work I want to do. Unlike other platforms, with Jamf, I don’t have to constantly look up how to do things as I go along, which makes my work much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Deploying DMG files perhaps? I haven’t done it often but it seems to be error-prone. Well I just seem to get errors when uploading or deploying DMG files. PKG files seem to work much better.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf for MacOS management, like updates and app deployment. It's intuitive, letting me focus on actual work rather than problem-solving. It covers 95% of my needs, handling security compliance, software updates, and deployments smoothly.

  ### 6. Ultimate Remote Control Solution, Needs UI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sri Adi Narayana R. | Endpoint Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Working with Jamf is really good, and it makes my job comfortable. I appreciate the ease of control and the level of control that Jamf gives me over every machine. It's easy to make it secure and straightforward for the customers to use. Especially enrolling computers and troubleshooting them if I'm away is made simple with Jamf, and I can just log in and get some work done. The ability to remote control machines is a big challenge that Jamf solves for me, it really helps with sending remote commands to troubleshoot problems and maintain compliance. I kind of liked the initial setup; it was fairly easy for me to get myself enrolled and to know the options and features in Jamf. It was quite easy and straightforward, which I liked.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I don't think there's nothing wrong or needed to be improved in Jamf right now, but if at all possible, I'd like to have some UI changes in the app. I mean, especially the interface, it kind of feels really bad. So, yeah, that's one thing that could be changed.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Jamf makes my job comfortable by solving remote machine control, troubleshooting, and compliance issues effectively, even when I'm away. It eases enrollment and offers significant control and security over devices, simplifying management.

  ### 7. Efficient Device Management with User-Centric Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I really like the return to service workflow with Jamf, especially for our flex staff nurses. I believe Jamf understands customers' needs and will pivot and make changes specific to workflows efficiently. Unlike other MDM manufacturers like Microsoft and Workspace ONE, Jamf doesn't take a very long time to implement changes. The integration with our shared iPhone management, Microsoft Teams, and the use of the return to service app along with Jamf Setup have addressed the problem of shared devices effectively. The process of nurses taking devices off the charger, logging into Jamf setup, setting a passcode, and then resetting the phone by tapping the return to service app at the end of their shifts ensures the device is ready for the next user. Without this workflow, I don't think we could provide the same number of applications to the nurses. I recently started using Jamf Mobile Assist to incorporate a QR code in our shared device workflow, which helps if a nurse forgets to sign out, as it can send the return to service by scanning the device's unique QR code.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think reporting capabilities could be improved. It would be great to have a radio button next to a configuration profile in the devices list view to be able to remove it on demand, and the same with an app, rather than using an exception or an exclusion in a smart group.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves the problem of managing shared iPhones by allowing our nurses to log in, use the devices, and reset them for the next user with the return to service app, enabling us to offer more applications.

  ### 8. Effortless Mac Management with Robust Open Source Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Client Platform Engineer - Sr. Client Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I love the community and the tools that Jamf supports and works with. The UI makes it easy to add and adapt all kinds of open source tools, and I find the initial setup to be very easy. I also appreciate that we can deploy Macs at scale directly shipped to end users from our VARs, keeping them up to date and secure. Our loyalty to Jamf has remained as we started with it for Mac and never switched.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think having more of the open source tools that are most commonly utilized in Jamf environments to be streamlined as suggestions within Jamf Pro. There is still some disconnect on new tools that are out there.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to manage our Mac fleet and iOS devices, deploy Macs at scale from VARs, and ensure they stay updated and secure.

  ### 9. Intuitive Jamf: The Gold Standard for Apple Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy S. | Desktop Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I like Jamf's intuitive interface, which makes managing computers and mobile devices much easier for me, especially as an admin. It's advanced compared to Microsoft MECM, with features that work better and make day-to-day management smoother. Finding what I need, whether it's creating a policy or a blueprint, is straightforward, which I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think Jamf could improve with better integration with Entra or active directory for group-based targeting. Right now, we're able to get it working because of extension attributes, but if it were a native thing, I think it would work a lot better.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to manage our Macs and mobile devices. Its intuitive interface and advanced features simplify daily management, making it easier to find what I need. It's the gold standard for managing Apple devices.

  ### 10. Simple UI, Smooth Microsoft Integration, and Easy Deployment with Jamf

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

The UI is very simple. It integrates really well with Microsoft (we use CA policies). Pricing is a little high compared to other MDMs but their support and overall familiarity among other Mac admins makes it easy to deploy / get help on if you're stuck. Jamf Connect is a great tool if you need password sync of local account with user's work account.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Bringing new features used to be an issue but with Blueprints this has become better as it brings new policies Apple brings quicker. Overall pricing could be better but thankfully we've been able to convince leadership to use Jamf.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our devices has become very simple for us. We're able to quickly deploy or lock down settings on our end for a smooth end user experience.
