## Jamf Reviews
 ### 1. Top Rated MDM Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim T. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

JAMF offers an array of feature-rich products that are easy to configure and deploy. In addition, JAMF updates are released before Apple releases software upgrades. It's great to have support in JAMF for Apple's new features before they are released. This allows us to identify and test the impact of new features and prepare ahead of an upgrade. Finally, their customer support is the best of any software company I've worked with!

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Nothing! I haven't had a bad experience with Jamf.

**Recommendations to others considering Jamf:**

Compare the other vendors who have similar products and choose the one that will best suit your needs. However, you will not find a better Mac Management tool on the market or a company with better customer support.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our school district is using iPads for our 1:1 program. Each student has an iPad, every teacher has an iPad and MacBook, we have iMacs in our high school libraries, six Mac labs, and every classroom has and Apple TV; all managed with Jamf Pro. This equates to over 15,000 devices we manage. We have one Jamf administrator who can manage all of these devices using JAMF Pro effectively and in a timely manner. Without JAMF we wouldn't be able to support our staff and students as effectively and efficiently as we do.

 ### 2. Jamf Cloud Makes Apple Environment Setup and Migration Seamless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor P. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

In my experience, setting up an apple environment with Jamf Cloud has been great. Allowing for a small customer to setup the preferred workflows and modify them quickly is a must for our organization and with policies and config profiles this has been easy for me as the Jamf admin. Scoping devices how we see fit is also a key feature.

I have had to migrate our entire environment from an on premise to Jamf cloud. Integrating all this was a good experience and the jamf platform has made this possible.

The cost has not been an issue so far for our organization. We look for stability over new quality of life features. Downtime has never been an issue so this has made the cost of Jamf something to always leverage with management.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

My biggest growing pain with the Jamf suite is Operating system updates and upgrades. DDM and native Jamf tools have shown low completions when attempting to use. Often resulting to 3rd party tools and scriptint to enforce and ensure completion of OS updates.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy management and overall view of our apple environment.

 ### 3. Strong macOS Management Solution, but Premium Pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

What I like best about Jamf Pro is how deeply it integrates into the Apple ecosystem while still remaining flexible enough for enterprise-scale management. As a Client Platform Engineer managing macOS and iOS devices daily, Jamf Pro allows us to automate large parts of the device lifecycle, from zero-touch deployment and configuration to software distribution, compliance, and troubleshooting.

One of the biggest strengths is the balance between powerful functionality and usability. Features like Smart Groups, Configuration Profiles, Patch Management, and the API make it possible to build highly automated workflows that save significant operational time. The API in particular has improved our workflow a lot, especially as Jamf continues to expand and modernize the Jamf Pro API compared to the Classic API.

The platform also integrates well with other Apple-focused solutions such as Jamf Connect, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and security tools, which helps create a seamless identity and compliance experience for end users. Self Service and the newer Self Service+ experience also provide a much better user experience by giving users controlled access to apps, policies, and troubleshooting tools without needing IT involvement for every request.

Another aspect I value highly is the strong macOS admin community around Jamf. The combination of official documentation, Jamf Nation, training courses, and community-created scripts/tools makes solving complex challenges much easier. Support experiences have generally been very positive, especially for more advanced enterprise topics.

Overall, Jamf Pro has helped us standardize deployments, reduce manual work, improve the end-user experience, and manage Apple devices at scale in a reliable and efficient way.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

One of the biggest downsides of Jamf Pro is the pricing, especially when additional products or premium features are required on top of Jamf Pro itself. While the platform is very powerful, the overall cost can become difficult to justify for some organizations compared to competing MDM solutions.

Another challenge is that some newly announced features sometimes feel like early beta versions when they first become available. Features such as the Jamf App Catalog or Self Service+ had a lot of potential, but in practice they initially felt incomplete and required additional development time before becoming stable and fully enterprise-ready. This can make it difficult to adopt new functionality immediately in production environments.

There are also occasional inconsistencies between the modernized UI and older areas of the platform, which can make navigation and administration feel fragmented at times. In larger environments, troubleshooting can also become complex depending on the interaction between configuration profiles, policies, compliance settings, and integrations.

That said, Jamf does usually continue improving features over time and actively responds to customer feedback, which helps address many of these issues in later releases.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro helps us solve the challenge of managing and securing large numbers of Apple devices in an enterprise environment while still providing a good user experience for employees.

Before using Jamf, many administrative tasks required manual work and direct IT involvement. With Jamf Pro, we are able to automate device enrollment, configuration, software deployment, patch management, compliance enforcement, and troubleshooting workflows. This has significantly reduced the time spent on repetitive tasks and allows our team to focus more on improving the platform instead of handling routine support work.

The platform is especially valuable for zero-touch deployments. New Macs can be shipped directly to users and automatically configured during setup with the correct settings, applications, security configurations, and access permissions. This greatly improves onboarding speed and consistency across the environment.

Jamf also helps us maintain security and compliance standards while still keeping the Apple user experience intact. Integrations with identity providers and security tools allow us to build automated workflows around authentication, compliance, and access management.

Another major benefit is the flexibility Jamf provides through Smart Groups, policies, scripting, and the API. This allows us to create customized workflows tailored to our environment instead of relying only on standard MDM functionality.

Overall, Jamf Pro has improved scalability, reduced manual administration effort, standardized deployments, and created a better experience for both IT administrators and end users.

 ### 4. Straightforward Workflows and Exceptionally Clear Documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

The workflows are straightforward, and the documentation is consistently excellent. I really like that I can read about any part of the product and come away with clear insight and a solid understanding. Compared with something like Intune documentation, it feels much more achievable to sink my teeth into a new concept and actually grasp it.
I'm also a huge fan of setup manager and its workflow

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I haven’t run into much friction with Jamf so far. I’ve had a couple of minor annoyances, like sessions expiring too quickly and longer loading times when I’m on Wi‑Fi, but overall these are very small complaints.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves not only our day-to-day device settings and configuration needs, but Setup Manager also handles all of our provisioning very proficiently. It lets us simply click Enroll, and Jamf automatically takes care of app installations and device naming without us having to enter any preliminary information.

 ### 5. Efficient Mac Management with Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I love Jamf's aggressive stance on adopting Apple's features, as they often support new features in management on day one. Their dedication to integrating Macs into enterprise environments by leveraging connections with Apple and Microsoft is impressive. The adoption of Declarative Device Management was a huge impact for us, making software updates go from patchy to relatively complete, and Jamf has supported this since Apple released it.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The user interface is dated, which is the downside of being such an established product. While Jamf emphasizes adding new features and capabilities quickly, the interface design has not kept up either aesthetically or in terms of ease of use. Although I appreciate that developer time isn't wasted on shiny interface stuff, it is time for a bit of polish and updating on the way Jamf is used by human admins accessing it through the web interface.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to integrate MacOS into a Windows environment, ensure device security and compliance, and manage software updates reliably. Its early adoption of Apple's features enhances our enterprise use, making Macs functional business tools.

 ### 6. User-Friendly and Automated Efficiency with Jamf

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I find Jamf incredibly user-friendly, especially from the administrative side of things. It's much more approachable compared to other options like SCCM and group policy. The barrier to entry for a new CIS admin is remarkably low. I also appreciate that Jamf simplifies the initial setup process, which was much easier than anticipated and worked more or less out of the box. Additionally, Jamf effectively automates a lot of manual processes for device management, allowing us to turn manual processes into automated ones to a pretty excellent and granular degree.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Some of the more recent features like Mac app deployment don't provide as much feedback when things go wrong, and they don't allow as accurate of scoping as things like policies and mobile configurations do. I would love to see that improve.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to automate manual processes like device building and configuration, managing our endpoints efficiently. It helps transform tasks into automated actions with excellent precision.

 ### 7. Intuitive Mac Management with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth E. | Assistant Director and Infrastructure Lead - CFA-IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I find Jamf intuitive and easy to use, especially when compared to SCCM. It allows me to accomplish 95% of what I want with our Mac fleet. I appreciate how I spend less time problem-solving the tool itself and more time actually doing the work I want to do. Unlike other platforms, with Jamf, I don’t have to constantly look up how to do things as I go along, which makes my work much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Deploying DMG files perhaps? I haven’t done it often but it seems to be error-prone. Well I just seem to get errors when uploading or deploying DMG files. PKG files seem to work much better.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf for MacOS management, like updates and app deployment. It's intuitive, letting me focus on actual work rather than problem-solving. It covers 95% of my needs, handling security compliance, software updates, and deployments smoothly.

 ### 8. Ultimate Remote Control Solution, Needs UI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sri Adi Narayana R. | Endpoint Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Working with Jamf is really good, and it makes my job comfortable. I appreciate the ease of control and the level of control that Jamf gives me over every machine. It's easy to make it secure and straightforward for the customers to use. Especially enrolling computers and troubleshooting them if I'm away is made simple with Jamf, and I can just log in and get some work done. The ability to remote control machines is a big challenge that Jamf solves for me, it really helps with sending remote commands to troubleshoot problems and maintain compliance. I kind of liked the initial setup; it was fairly easy for me to get myself enrolled and to know the options and features in Jamf. It was quite easy and straightforward, which I liked.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I don't think there's nothing wrong or needed to be improved in Jamf right now, but if at all possible, I'd like to have some UI changes in the app. I mean, especially the interface, it kind of feels really bad. So, yeah, that's one thing that could be changed.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Jamf makes my job comfortable by solving remote machine control, troubleshooting, and compliance issues effectively, even when I'm away. It eases enrollment and offers significant control and security over devices, simplifying management.

 ### 9. Efficient Device Management with User-Centric Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I really like the return to service workflow with Jamf, especially for our flex staff nurses. I believe Jamf understands customers' needs and will pivot and make changes specific to workflows efficiently. Unlike other MDM manufacturers like Microsoft and Workspace ONE, Jamf doesn't take a very long time to implement changes. The integration with our shared iPhone management, Microsoft Teams, and the use of the return to service app along with Jamf Setup have addressed the problem of shared devices effectively. The process of nurses taking devices off the charger, logging into Jamf setup, setting a passcode, and then resetting the phone by tapping the return to service app at the end of their shifts ensures the device is ready for the next user. Without this workflow, I don't think we could provide the same number of applications to the nurses. I recently started using Jamf Mobile Assist to incorporate a QR code in our shared device workflow, which helps if a nurse forgets to sign out, as it can send the return to service by scanning the device's unique QR code.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think reporting capabilities could be improved. It would be great to have a radio button next to a configuration profile in the devices list view to be able to remove it on demand, and the same with an app, rather than using an exception or an exclusion in a smart group.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves the problem of managing shared iPhones by allowing our nurses to log in, use the devices, and reset them for the next user with the return to service app, enabling us to offer more applications.

 ### 10. Effortless Mac Management with Robust Open Source Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Client Platform Engineer - Sr. Client Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I love the community and the tools that Jamf supports and works with. The UI makes it easy to add and adapt all kinds of open source tools, and I find the initial setup to be very easy. I also appreciate that we can deploy Macs at scale directly shipped to end users from our VARs, keeping them up to date and secure. Our loyalty to Jamf has remained as we started with it for Mac and never switched.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think having more of the open source tools that are most commonly utilized in Jamf environments to be streamlined as suggestions within Jamf Pro. There is still some disconnect on new tools that are out there.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to manage our Mac fleet and iOS devices, deploy Macs at scale from VARs, and ensure they stay updated and secure.

 ### 11. Intuitive Jamf: The Gold Standard for Apple Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy S. | Desktop Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I like Jamf's intuitive interface, which makes managing computers and mobile devices much easier for me, especially as an admin. It's advanced compared to Microsoft MECM, with features that work better and make day-to-day management smoother. Finding what I need, whether it's creating a policy or a blueprint, is straightforward, which I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think Jamf could improve with better integration with Entra or active directory for group-based targeting. Right now, we're able to get it working because of extension attributes, but if it were a native thing, I think it would work a lot better.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf to manage our Macs and mobile devices. Its intuitive interface and advanced features simplify daily management, making it easier to find what I need. It's the gold standard for managing Apple devices.

 ### 12. Intuitive UI and Self-Service Tools That Speed Up Fixes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob H. | IT Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

The tools that can be created in self service for our users so fixes are fast and effective. The user interface didn't need any training as I came into my new role, I was able to hit the ground running and find anything and everything I needed to do.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I'd appreciate network independence for unlocking ipads by having stored admin login codes when users forget their passwords.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The security locks for lost devices lets is rest easy no data is going to be compromised.

 ### 13. Simple UI, Smooth Microsoft Integration, and Easy Deployment with Jamf

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

The UI is very simple. It integrates really well with Microsoft (we use CA policies). Pricing is a little high compared to other MDMs but their support and overall familiarity among other Mac admins makes it easy to deploy / get help on if you're stuck. Jamf Connect is a great tool if you need password sync of local account with user's work account.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Bringing new features used to be an issue but with Blueprints this has become better as it brings new policies Apple brings quicker. Overall pricing could be better but thankfully we've been able to convince leadership to use Jamf.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our devices has become very simple for us. We're able to quickly deploy or lock down settings on our end for a smooth end user experience.

 ### 14. Robust, Highly Customizable, and Built for Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan K. | Production Systems Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I really appreciate how robust and customizable it is.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

We covered it during the event today, but the biggest pain point is lack of information, for example when a policy fails to run, or other backend things either happen or don’t happen without explanation. I’d say over communication is always better than not enough information.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying computers, iPads, and Apple TVs for church IT and production. It saves us so much time and effort when configuring and repurposing devices.

 ### 15. Effortless, Automated iOS Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe P. | Tech Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

It makes managing iOS devices simple, automated, and clean. The enrollment, profile configuration, group assignments, and device locating almost effortless.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I dislike not being able to manage Android devices the same way as iOS devices - it requires a different, more expensive product in place and then Android management added onto it.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Locking down iOS devices for staff use, limiting what they can and cannot access on the work-owned device.

 ### 16. Best-in-Class Mac Management That’s Straightforward and Flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate L. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf device management is the best in the business for Mac management. It’s straightforward to use, and the modular approach makes it easy to tailor for different compliance requirements and user experiences.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Testing can sometimes be confusing, but once you figure out the best way to structure beta testing in a meaningful way, it’s not too bad. That said, the IdP login integration for account creation could use some work, since it has been difficult to fit into certain workflows.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device management in a high-compliance environment has been a massive benefit for us. The compliance baselines are a Huge win

 ### 17. The Ultimate Solution for Seamless Apple Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nisar A. | System Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf is a highly reliable and purpose-built Apple device management platform that excels in managing macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS at scale. It offers seamless deployment with zero-touch provisioning through Automated Device Enrollment, strong configuration management, powerful scripting capabilities, and robust security integrations like Jamf Protect and patch management. The platform provides excellent visibility, granular control, and a clean admin interface that makes policy creation, app distribution, and compliance enforcement straightforward. Although it can have a learning curve for new admins and some workflows depend heavily on scripting, Jamf overall delivers one of the best and most comprehensive MDM experiences for Apple ecosystems, making enterprise Apple management smoother, more secure, and highly automated.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

It would have been better if only Apple-centric features were unified.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love this product covers all in apple based

 ### 18. Effortlessly Manage Large Fleets with Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nael A. | Consultation Agent, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I love the user-friendly interface of Jamf that makes even novice users feel familiar and confident in using all the very in-depth tools. The initial setup of Jamf was also super easy, which I really appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I think Jamf could improve in terms of more site support and better roles and segregation for sites. At the university, we have multiple departments that need additional access to things like uploading packages and scripts, and it's hard to maintain that with what is currently provided.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf lets us manage our MacOS and iPadOS fleet from compliance to security to user experience.

 ### 19. Jamf: Ease of Use with Excellent Support, Changing Team Dynamics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodney W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I appreciate Jamf for its ease of use and the availability of resources. The support provided by Jamf is really helpful, along with the professional services they offer. I also find the Slack channels for support to be a valuable resource. The initial setup of Jamf is very easy, making the process smooth and uncomplicated.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I dislike the constant changes in team support for customers. We had customer success almost every year, and once we're settled with one team, then we need to establish relationships again.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf helps with application patching, zero-touch deployment, and application deployment.

 ### 20. Jamf Pro Blueprints Unlock a Powerhouse of Possibilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny C. | Information Technology Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf in itself is power house of possibilities. What I love most about using Jamf is using blueprints.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The one downside is the different modules you have to purchase to have things connected. Example jamf connect is not part of the package when you purchase Jamf pro.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s fixing the connection with MFA and different possibilities to control apps.

 ### 21. Jamf Keeps Pace with Apple’s Changing Configurations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon B. | Sr. Systems Admin III, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf is a well-respected platform that stays in step with Apple’s changing configurations.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The cost per seat is very high, especially considering that we only use it for macOS management.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Originally, Jamf helped us solve password synchronization for local passwords with our IDP. Now it’s also keeping our fleet up to date using DDM and blueprints.

 ### 22. Simple, Automated, and Easy to Use with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Lead IT Ops Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Simplicity, automation and ease of use. Support is easy to get a hold of

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The UI can be easier to manage. I wish all apps like protect and account was an all in one app. Rather than separate apps

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple management. Keeping our fleet more secure than what Intune can do.

 ### 23. Centralized device management for managing at scale.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph C. | VDI & Jamf Architect / Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

In my experience, the main advantages of Jamf Pro include enhanced security and compliance achieved through effective policy management and automated updates. The platform also simplifies device and software deployment, especially with features like Self Service (now Self Service +). Additionally, Jamf Pro streamlines IT management by offering comprehensive device inventory and reporting tools, and it boosts user efficiency by enabling convenient self-service options.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

There are not very many things I dislike about Jamf Pro. The things that I would point out are more around navigating around the interface opposed to functionality issues. For example, when you scroll down on an inventory screen, all the headers disappear until you scroll back to the top, or the fact that you can’t select multiple policies to action.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro provides a solution to manage Apple devices at scale with a toll that is Apple native and not an “also ran” of a product that was developed for windows.

 ### 24. JAMF Pro in Higher Ed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casey O. | Information Technology Supervisor - Computer Lifecycle, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro has made it easy to manage and deploy apple workstations in a higher Ed university setting. I am able to track inventory, push packages, and run important policies to keep my CISO happy. I especially like the Extended Attributes so I can run custom scripts to gather even more information about the devices across the university. This has been extremely helpful narrowing down which computers/laptop can upgrade to the latest OS, and which devices should be surplus as they no longer will be supported by Apple. Makes staying in a supported state much easier.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Main issue is JAMF is mainly for Apple, but definitely not a bad thing. Would have been nice to have cross platform options for windows devices over the same MDM.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass deployment of software to all our manage devices. Currently working towards SSO and close to zero-touch and JAMF Pro gives plenty of resources to make that a possibility for our environment.

 ### 25. Gives me time BACK!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John D. | Chief Information Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro has completely transformed the way I manage Apple devices. What used to take hours of manual configuration, patching, and troubleshooting is now handled through automated workflows that run reliably in the background. The platform is rock solid, and that reliability gives me peace of mind knowing devices will always receive the right apps, updates, and security settings without constant oversight.

The simplicity of Jamf Pro’s workflows is where the real magic happens. With smart groups, policies, and automated deployments, I can roll out changes across hundreds of devices in minutes instead of days. Tasks that used to eat up my calendar are now automated, giving me time back to focus on higher-value projects instead of repetitive device management.

I also appreciate how consistent and dependable Jamf Pro is. Once a workflow is built, it just works, every time. I don’t waste time chasing down failed installs or broken scripts, which is something I dealt with using other tools. That reliability builds trust across my team and ensures our end users have a seamless, frustration-free experience with their Apple devices.

In short, Jamf Pro saves time, simplifies complexity, and delivers the kind of reliability IT leaders dream about. It has quickly gone from being just a management tool to an essential part of how I run IT.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Just waiting for a log in OS updates via blueprint.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security risks.

 ### 26. Solid Mac Management with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg E. | System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I like Jamf's good user interface and integration, and I appreciate its growing ability for seamless deployment. The Jamf user group is active and insightful.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The pricing is steep, and it seems like Jamf has gotten big enough that they might have lost the hunger of their startup years. Initial setup wasn't too difficult but the early days did require professional services to really get the ball rolling.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf provides visibility, compliance, app delivery, and device management for Apple devices.

 ### 27. Simple to Use With Fantastic Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

The platform is simple to use and support is fantastic. I feel like I am always able to find an answer when I need one.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I would benefit from more hands on support. I would love to be able to speak with an engineer on a video call when I am hitting roadblocks rather than use the chat bot.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Securing devices. Keeping software up to date. Distributing applications and custom settings

 ### 28. Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect and Jamf Protect Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerardo O. | Senior System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Because it is built for managing Apple devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS), Jamf Pro takes advantage of the native APIs and features. That means better compatibility, more reliable device control, and often fewer workarounds. Features like Automated Device Enrollment, using configuration profiles, and leveraging Apple’s security features (FileVault, Gatekeeper, etc.) tend to be more tightly integrated. Zero-touch or hands-free deployment: Once devices are in place, many things can be automated (initial setup, provisioning, app installs, policies). Reduces manual effort. Good tools for inventory, tracking hardware/software version, warranty, and ownership info. That means easier asset management over time. Automatic or semi-automatic patching, updates, managing app lifecycles (installing, updating, removing). For Apple devices especially, having consistent, timely updates is important for both functionality and security. Self-Service portals: allowing end users to install approved software themselves, run maintenance, etc., which reduces demands on IT for simple tasks.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Although many users praise the support, others report that for certain issues or in certain regions, response times or helpfulness vary. Also, getting specialized training or support for advanced features may cost extra. Additionally, the reporting features aren’t as polished or flexible as they’d like. Comparing multiple systems, detailed historical usage, analytics sometimes need extra effort or external tools.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supporting employees outside the office is hard when you can’t touch their devices. Remote management lets push fixes, policies, and scripts; run inventory; or troubleshoot without needing VPN. Self Service empowers employees to handle routine installs and fixes themselves.

Overall very intuitive, easy to move around, to create configuration profiles, and good management tools for remote "hands-off" options

 ### 35. Jamf really has empowered me and made Mac management exciting and easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommy L. | Desktop Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro has given all the tools at our fingertips to not only empower but proactively help admins stay on the edge of Mac management that is needed in the enterprise.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Not really a dislike about the product itself, but more of a good-ish problem to have is that there are a lot features to implement to where it is overwhelming. Really needing a dedicated resource to get to it all and ensure I fully utilize it to the fullest potential.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro is solving most everything our InfoSec and SOC team are throwing at me from device compliance (conditional access) to meeting auditing requirements and patching that is saving so much overhead time that allows me to work on other areas of Mac Management

 ### 36. Efficient for Apple, Lacks Cross-Platform Support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas F. | Tech Services Analyst II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I like the ease of Jamf's interface. Its GUI makes identifying endpoints very easy and allows me to see what deployments are made on each device. This simplifies managing our Apple devices and makes the whole process more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

It's mostly focused on Mac and iOS. It would be more helpful if it supported Windows, Android, and other mobile platforms.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves inventory management and software deployment for our Apple and macOS devices.

 ### 37. Enterprise Management Simplified with Jamf Pro

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alton B. | IT Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I appreciate the granularity that Jamf Pro offers, allowing me to deploy on a large scale or to specific individuals, which is crucial at an enterprise level. Setting it up was straightforward, aided by helpful guides and a supportive Mac admin community. The app installers and features like blueprints and declarative device management keep my fleet compliant efficiently. The support level and active community are impressive, making it significantly easier to find help and share experiences.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I would streamline feature requests more, along with certain support tasks, to make it easier to get in touch with people or obtain specific support. It can sometimes take a day or two to get support.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jamf Pro for device management, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and benefiting from granular deployment capabilities and robust community support.

 ### 38. Easy to Use and Deploy—Changes Live in Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos M. | Instructional technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

It’s so easy to use and deploy. I like that we can get requests and deploy changes within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

This isn’t really about Jamf. We have slow WiFi and network, so we are constantly dealing with computers and check in times.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helping me manage Macs. We get requests to do x and y. In most cases, Jamf can do it.

 ### 39. Jamf Pro allows for sanity in a world of unrealistic expectations.

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

It's a one stop shop for managing Apple devices.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Nothing, I'm enjoying everything they provide right now.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can manage all Macs remotely. The days of manually installing software and physically going to a Mac with issues is dead. We can now do all of that remotely.

 ### 42. Effective, Efficient, and Secure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah B. | Corporate Information Technology Support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

One of the aspects I find most helpful about Jan Pro is the convenience of managing both computer and mobile devices through a single, unified interface. The platform is professional, comprehensive, easy to read, and highly secure. I trust this company to support organizations ranging from small businesses to those with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. The ability to customize scripts and adjust settings for different hierarchical levels within a large organization is essential for daily operations and effective device and system management.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Honestly, I don't have any negative opinions about JAMF Pro. If I were to point out one area for improvement, it would be the platform's limited integration with non-Apple devices and external software compliance components.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMF Pro is a valuable tool for managing over 10,000 devices worldwide. Having all the information for a user or a specific device centralized in one location creates an intuitive and easy-to-read interface. This setup not only streamlines workflows but also provides reassurance regarding security.

 ### 43. Golden Standard for a reason

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tori F. | Desktop Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf offers a comprehensive solution for Mac management. The training provided is both engaging and thorough, genuinely preparing you for success. Additionally, the Jamf Nation site is a valuable resource, offering insights and helping to fill in any gaps left by the official documentation.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

There's nothing I dislike about Jamf. If they managed Windows at the same level as MacOS, Jamf would be our total solution for UEM, MDM, and Security.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf has transformed the management of our MacOS and iOS devices into a nearly zero-touch process. After we implemented all our automation, the number of support tickets for MacOS and iOS dropped significantly, leaving us with only a few each quarter.

 ### 44. Best-in-Class Device Management Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf is the best device management platform I’ve used so far.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

I wish that jamf had better “best practices” recommendations advertised to their customers. Jamf likely had statistics based off how customers use their products, it would be great if they could identify and use that data to provide targeted recommendations for how orgs can improve their management

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance reporting, app deployment, onboarding, and software update management.
It saves me time and means my boss thinks i can spend more time managing windows devices ;-)

 ### 45. JAMF Pro is Awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** todd r. | Principal Enterprise Client Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

JAMF Pro is always adding additional functionality and this is not always requiring additional investment. I wish other MDMs would follow suit.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The only issue besides that I wish I could add Windows systems is that I wish there was a way exclude stale devices from some of the reporting options. Such as the patching reporting. We have several devices that I do not want to remove from JAMF until they are returned but the devices are not actively in use.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides the Mac Management, the inclusion of the JAMF App Catalog has solved a big pain point my organization had and saves a lot of time.

 ### 46. Flexible, Scalable MDM That Delivers

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I find Jamf Pro to be very flexible and scalable.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Nothing. Though if it were more affordable it would compare even more favourably to other MDM solutions.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves our automated device management, device configuration and local account challenges.

 ### 47. Experience seamless 👍

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj J. | Assistant Director of Technology - Tech Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

I like how Jamf Pro provides complete visibility and control over all Apple devices in our environment. It streamlines deployment, configuration, and compliance management while keeping the user experience seamless.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro works great for device management, but I wish the dashboard and reporting tools were a bit more intuitive for non-technical staff. Some settings require admin-level access even for basic classroom tasks.

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro helps us centrally manage student and teacher devices, ensuring that everyone has the right apps and settings from day one. It reduces classroom downtime and gives IT the ability to support devices remotely, improving learning continuity and security.

 ### 48. Jamf, adapting and innovating.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex Q. | IT Support Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro has been such a power tool that has kept up with our growth for over half a decade now. Their continued innovation makes the scaling very approachable

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The onboarding, deployment of new devices often times requires a perfect network in order to work smoothly, we onboard 100-200 devices a week and our goal is to have a 99% success on the onboarding experience

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro has given us the ability to manage a growth of 500 devices to now 22 thousand managed devices, the blueprints coming up will facilitate all of the configuration profile bandaids that we have in place

 ### 49. Fast, Great UI, and MDM Options That Just Make Sense

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

It is fast and has a great UI. Alot of the MDM options make sense

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The syncing options are a little hard as it may require command line knowledge

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf solves deployment, automation and security of our mac and iOS devices

 ### 50. Jamf Pro Product Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maruf S. | Technical Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Jamf?**

Jamf Pro makes managing Apple devices seamless and centralised. I like how easy it is to automate deployments, enforce security policies, and push apps or updates remotely. Its integration with Apple’s ecosystem (MDM, DEP, VPP) is smooth, saving a lot of time for IT teams. The reporting and inventory tracking are also very reliable, which makes compliance and troubleshooting much easier.

**What do you dislike about Jamf?**

The interface can feel a bit outdated and sometimes confusing for new admins. Certain workflows, like advanced configuration profiles or complex policies, require extra steps and can be time-consuming. The cloud console performance can also be slow at times, especially when running large reports. Pricing is on the higher side compared to other MDMs, which might be challenging for smaller organizations

**What problems is Jamf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jamf Pro helps us centrally manage all our macOS and iOS devices, ensuring security compliance and consistency across the fleet. It streamlines deployment with zero-touch provisioning, enforces policies, and makes app/patch management much easier. By automating tasks like software updates, security configurations, and device inventory, it saves significant admin time and reduces errors. End users benefit from faster onboarding, fewer IT touchpoints, and a smoother overall experience.
