"Streamlined Onboarding and Integrations With Excellent Support"

4.5/5

What do you like best about isolved?

Employees being able to preview their checks ahead of time, update their own information, including demographic, tax, direct deposit, life events and life event benefits enrollment, etc.

Employees also do open and life event enrollment in iSolved, vs our benefits admin platform. There's a little bit of extra work for me to then transfer that information into the BenAdmin system, but not having to have employees go into a separate (cumbersome and non-intuitive) system and all of the issues and questions that used to generate far outweighs the work I have to do to get the information into the BenAdmin system. I'm hoping in year two iSolved can help me create a report in the system that would be exported into a CVS file that matches the format of the import file required for the BenAdmin system. If I can get that created, that will further reduce time and effort on my part to port the open enrollment information from iSolved to the BenAdmin system.

We opted for a one-way integration with the BenAdmin system, so at least no longer have to enter new employees into the BenAdmin system, nor duplicate demographic updates from iSolved into the BenAdmin system.

We also opted for the integration with our retirement system, which has GREATLY reduced errors and improved timeliness of the retirement remittances. That integration has been very, very helpful and very worth the cost to get it set up.

So far we've been able to "automate" several onboarding tasks (mostly related to demographics, employment, tax, and payroll) which has cut helped streamline that process. We will be working with iSolved in the coming weeks to hopefully incorporate many more of our onboarding tasks into iSolved to further streamline that process.

The interface is pretty good. I appreciate the two options for the user interface: traditional menu-driven and the adaptive option. For those using the menu-driven interface, while on first glance it can look overwhelming (particularly for admins) the search bar is key and I use it all the time! (One challenge I've found is trying to help staff navigate either option. I use the traditional interface, so it can be harder to help staff using the adaptive option to navigate the system, simply because I'm not as familiar with it. However, the fact that it's similar to the iSolved APP is helpful, and I can often use the app for guidance when trying to help someone navigate the adaptive version.)

Thus far I've not experienced any downtime or really even sluggish performance when using the system; something one doesn't typically consider UNLESS one experiences any issues with downtime or slow processing.

Regarding pricing, I do feel like iSolved's pricing is reasonable. It's not the least expensive platform on the market, but it's far from being among the highest priced options. While I think all-in-all it's about the same cost as our prior system, there is so much more functionality that we are leveraging, so think it's been a very good value and worthwhile investment.

I don't think I've utilized much of the Ai features, but I can at least speak to the AI chat bot, SAM: I'm able to look up information not just on where to find/how to do something, but I like that it saves my prior dialogues and I can easily go back to them as needed without reinitiating the same dialogue.

Lastly, regarding additional pros, iSolved's customer support has thus far been excellent. The response time is typically very quick, whether via email or phone, and I'm typically routed to the correct specialist for help within 24 hours, often much faster for time-sensitive things that may come up, e.g., as we're trying to submit payroll. What do you dislike about isolved?

The only shortcoming I've encountered so far (and the only reason I didn't give a 10 re: my recommending this to others) is the inability to enter retroactive time-off requests. We pay all of our exempt staff (which comprises the vast majority of our benefits-eligible staff) in advance, so if any of those employees have a sick day during the period in/for which they've already been paid,I'd have to do a manual accrual adjustment. However, I understand iSolved is currently working on advanced accruals and I'm hopeful that will include allowing for submission of retroactive PTO requests. This would better enable to us to fully utilize the functionality for staff to make PTO requests and admin approvals thereof, and allow us to get away from a current spreadsheet tracking system, which of course pis a bit time-intensive and may not pick up / account for everyone's absences, nor when plans change and someone's noted time off on our Google calendar, which is a significant input to our current PTO tracking. What problems is isolved solving and how is that benefiting you?

Please see comments under what I like about the system for specific problems with workflow and accuracy that isolved has helped us improve. I'm not sure I can specifically quantify the time/cost savings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
