I have worked from home as an independent contractor for many years. Prior to Insightful, I had to track the time I worked on client projects manually, which takes time and effort and due care to ensure accuracy. Insightful makes tracking my work time quick and easy, and the results are both accurate and precise. Reducing my contracting overhead frees time and energy that I can invest into my actual work for clients! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally, there is a significant time lag between when I finish logging a work session using the Workpuls desktop application and when my local time log is synced with my Insightful web dashboard. But in the 18 months I have used Insightful, this problem has seldom occurred. When it does occur, Insightful posts system status reports online to keep users informed of its efforts to resolve the problem. In one recent instance, the problem (real-time data congestion) seemed to persist beyond the declared resolution. So, I emailed an initial report and two follow-up reports to the Insightful support team. Within hours, the problem resolved itself, and the support team responded promptly to thank me for my reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hi Fred,
Three reports on a problem you could have waited out is more than anyone owes us. Thank you for those, and for the fairness of the write-up.
Real-time sync will occasionally congest, and a good deal of work goes into keeping that rare rather than routine, so seldom across eighteen months is the measure we care about. The detail worth taking on board is the congestion seeming to outlast the declared fix: a fix announced early is more disruptive than the delay it was meant to close. Your notes arrived while the team was still chasing it, which they clearly appreciated.
And the overhead line is the part we would happily borrow: hours spent proving your hours are hours nobody pays for. Good to know Insightful has taken that off your desk.
Here's to the next eighteen months, and do keep flagging things when they look wrong.
Best regards,
The Insightful Team
