What do you like best about Innovative Mentoring Software?

What I appreciated most about Innovative Mentoring Software when I was running a mentoring program was how intentionally it’s designed for the real workflows of mentoring programs. It allowed us to manage applications, track matches, log mentoring hours, document case notes, and measure outcomes all in one place. The mentor portal was especially helpful because mentors could easily enter their activity hours and notes directly from their phone or computer, which kept our records accurate without creating extra work for staff. What do you dislike about Innovative Mentoring Software?

Like any robust system, there is a learning curve when you first get started because mentoring programs track a lot of data. However, once the structure is in place and staff understand the workflow, the system becomes very intuitive. Before using a system like IMS, many mentoring programs rely on spreadsheets, email chains, and paper files to track matches and mentor interactions. That approach quickly becomes difficult to manage and can create gaps in documentation or reporting. Innovative Mentoring Software centralizes everything — applications, background checks, match records, activity tracking, communication, and outcomes — which gives programs a clear and organized way to manage their operations. For us, it made it significantly easier to track mentor engagement, document mentoring sessions, and pull reports for grant requirements and program evaluation.
