What do you like best about Index.dev?

We had a senior backend role open for nearly three months. We kept reviewing resumes that looked solid on paper but fell apart in technical interviews—candidates who knew the basics but hadn’t actually shipped anything at scale. Index sent us two profiles. We interviewed both and hired one, and he was contributing meaningfully from the first sprint.

What really stood out was that the engineers they put forward had already gone through a real evaluation. We weren’t stress-testing someone from scratch; we were essentially doing a final check. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Index.dev?

They’re not cheap. If you’re benchmarking against Asian outsourcing firms or open freelancer marketplaces, you’ll definitely find lower rates. That said, we’re still paying meaningfully less than what a fully loaded senior engineer would cost locally in the US. What problems is Index.dev solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a roadmap that was slipping because we couldn't close a backend hire fast enough. Index closed it in under two weeks, end-to-end. Beyond speed, they removed the compliance and payroll headache of hiring internationally.
