What do you like best about iMovie?

iMovie is extremely easy to get started with and use. It has a decent set of templates, backgrounds and transitions for good, professional quality video editing. I can share or export not only to file, but also directly to my YouTube account and many others. It is extremely affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iMovie?

iMovie, when pushed to it's limits, likes to corrupt movie libraries. That is a real bummer. I have found and even made videos about the work-arounds, but it eats time and for some, may mean lost content. I also wish they would allow more layers on a timeline. Come on Apple, just a few more! Recommendations to others considering iMovie:

It is a great, quick and easy way to make simple, professional videos. It is entry level, highly affordable and will get the job done, on a basic level. Certainly fine for a blogger, small business or non-profit organisation. There are many advanced hacks, if you will, possible as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows me to quickly make video content so that I can get back to work on other projects. The benefits of iMovie are huge for me. Once the video is ready, I can export right to YouTube, saving me time there too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
