What I like most about IHP is how much of the web application stack it brings together into a single development workflow. I found the combination of Haskell’s strong type system with database integration, routing, and backend development especially helpful when building and iterating on applications. It cuts down on the need to configure and maintain multiple separate components, and it also helps keep the codebase organized and consistent. Overall, the development experience works well for quickly prototyping features while still benefiting from compile-time checks and the type safety that Haskell provides. The main area I’d improve is the onboarding experience. If you’re coming from more mainstream web frameworks, some concepts can take a while to click, so more beginner-friendly examples that cover common application patterns would help smooth out the initial learning curve. I’d also like to see additional integrations and more practical, end-to-end examples involving commonly used third-party services. Finally, clearer guidance on production performance, along with more detailed deployment documentation, would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
