Recommendations to others considering Ignite Selling:
Don't be deceived by the simplicity and game-like structure on the surface. It's kinda like chess - on the surface, the rules are very simple. The pieces move like this, and the goal is to checkmate the King. Okay...simple, I already know that. But the true difficulty of the game is in the strategy of the moves as related to what the opponent is doing. That's like Ignite Selling - the overall concepts are simple and one might say, "I already know that." But the true value is in the strategies that are uncovered and all the challenging thought processes that go into uncovering those strategies and related tactical moves that support the overall goals. If you just read the concepts, you may dismiss it as something you already know. But if you jump in and play it out, you realize that that's where the value is and that it takes a lot of hard work and challenges to current understanding or thought processes to get there. That's where their value is. Not in teaching you how the chess pieces move, but in how to uncover the winning strategies that can be quite complex and even hidden. To switch analogies, if you ever participated in scrimmages back in sports, like for football, then you know - yeah, it's simple and you can say "I already know the plays, I'm good, I don't need this pretend game." Fine, get out there and carry the ball in a live situation and let's see how easy it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Ignite Selling solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our previous training partner and methodology had simply grown stale and we were looking for something more modern and directly applicable to our specific selling environment. We had recently hired a lot of new Account Managers and felt like the previous approach just wasn't as relevant to the modern selling world and to our unique selling challenges. Ignite Selling came in with what we feel like is a very modern and relevant approach that goes beyond just mechanics and concepts and that really immersed our AMs in realistic scenarios that they can recognize in their real-world daily lives. It's kinda like a scrimmage - immersing the participants in a "game" that mimics the real-world as closely as possible, with all the scenarios and variables customized to our actual environment. Because of this scrimmage like participation, and of course all of the modern selling principles and techniques they teach, the AMs can easily then translate the training to their actual customers and can apply and see results almost immediately. While we're still early in the engagement, the results are promising as we've had excellent engagement by the sellers (that's most of the battle) and we have many examples of being able to push sales forward that were previously stuck or struggling. Sales reps and managers alike agree that this method forces them to think about the sale in new and challenging ways that help them uncover the best path forward. Overall the feedback from all participants has been positive, with many reps commenting as to how logical and applicable the methods are. We've had a great experience with the entire Ignite Selling team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
