What do you like best about IBM Guardium Data Protection?

An excellent solution for database protection. It not only gives customers out-of-the-box accelerators aligned with current security standards, but when implemented properly, it can also serve as an inline solution that helps defend against potential cybersecurity threats in real time. What do you dislike about IBM Guardium Data Protection?

The main weakness is integration with other security solutions. While IBM Guardium has its own Incident Management capabilities and reliably records every security incident, forwarding those incidents to a SIEM platform is, in some cases, not adequately supported.

The biggest challenge is the incident metadata. With certain SIEM solutions, the LEEF messages need to be fully customised so the relevant incident details are parsed correctly and displayed properly in the SIEM environment. Without this customisation, important contextual information may be missing, which reduces the effectiveness of monitoring, correlation, and incident response.
