It helped us identify reasons people were not clicking on our desired Call to Action or why people were not being led to the conversion action. We identified a lot of sections on the website which had dead/rage clicks. So we added information on those sections/made them clickable. I didn't even need to involve my dev team. **What do you dislike about Hotjar by Contentsquare?** Everything is obfuscated. Useless. I guess since they are based in France they have gone full privacy mode. Fine but I didn't discover that until after prepaying for a full year. I cannot filter by IP address to help my customers encountering bugs nor can I search by any other identifying info to find their sessions. Additionally they obfuscated so much info in the session I often couldn't sort out the bugs even if I managed to be lucky enough to find the user's session. I asked HotJar to cancel my account and only refund the remaining portion of my prepaid year of use. They refused. Sorting by sentiment is very simple A lot of information about user recordings or sentiment feedback is given (browser, device model, etc.) with it being relatively easy to download all of the information in excel format or CSV. This tool is very affordable and could be used by most, if not all industries. **What do you dislike about Hotjar by Contentsquare?** Searching, filtering, tagging, is very hard. There is no actual "tagging" feature where you can assign certain feedback with "keywords" or "themes" Customer service is interesting. You get a generic email and while the replies are very friendly, you never know quite who you're talking to. The payment process is painful if you are paying through a corporation rather than just putting down a credit card. It's based in Malta and there are some forms of payment they do not take. The feedback button when used on your site can only be placed in a few areas and often times gets in the way, so much that your users are complaining about the feedback button itself! The button cannot be branded, either.
