As an employer, making sure your employees are productive is essential. Managing employees from home can be challenging since they do not have any direct supervision. Hivedesk helps us track our employee's productivity so that we can rest assured that everyone is functioning at their best! Hivedesk tracks keyboard clicks, mouse activity, and takes periodic screenshots. Idle time is recorded and we get a percentage of activity at the end of each day. Hivedesk said they typically see activity levels of about 85%, so based on the employee's role, we set productivity minimums. The screenshots can be blurred out so that you do not see any personal information, but it helps to see how long certain tasks are taking and if employees are working on the work at hand or not. The only feature I would like to see is the ability to add a document to a task assignment. Most of our task assignments are documents or reports that need to be looked into and worked. Without this, the document has to be sent separately from the task assignment, which is a bit messy. I would also like to limit my manager from seeing employee wages.
