What do you like best about Hive?

Hive really helps our team stay organized on many different projects. We are a large team about 21 people working on different campuses. Hive keeps us synced together and on time as if we were all in the same office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hive?

We wish Hive had a way to sync with our exchange calendars. There are certain aspects of our work that are date and time sensitive and we need to put these events in our calendars. What do you like best about Hive?

What I like most about Hive is how it manages to keep project tracking simple yet powerful. The layout is clean, the navigation feels natural, and switching between Gantt, Kanban, and calendar views helps me visualize projects from different angles without losing context.

I use Hive mainly for sprint planning and task allocation across multiple projects. Creating tasks, assigning owners, setting dependencies, and tracking progress are all incredibly smooth. The integrations with tools like Slack, GitHub, and Google Drive also make a huge difference — everything stays connected, so I don’t have to jump between apps.

What do you dislike about Hive?

Hive is great overall, but there are a few areas that could improve. Sometimes, when managing multiple large projects, the interface can feel a little heavy — it takes a few extra seconds to load dashboards with many active tasks. I also wish the mobile app mirrored the desktop experience a bit more closely, especially for editing subtasks or adjusting timelines on the go.

Customization could be slightly deeper too — things like automations or recurring task templates take a few extra steps to set up compared to tools like ClickUp. What do you like best about Hive?

Our team have been using it daily for more than 2 years now, and it has completely transformed the way we interact during the project execution. With their vast array of features and functionality like task and project views, kanban views along with the ability to assign tasks and request for approvals. Hive stands out with the ease of the integrating it within the existing processes comes in very helpful in getting started with Hive almost within 1–2 days. At times, I experience some lag when using Hive, and the cards can become unresponsive. There have also been occasions when certain features did not work as expected.
