"Strong automation for Mac and Windows, rough edges remain"
5/5
What do you like best about Hexnode UEM?

UI / UX: Action History and the per-device Scripts tab with Show Output show exactly what ran and what failed. Live Terminal on Mac lets me check a machine without screen sharing. The catch is that some options sit in odd places, like the app scripts that only appear inside a policy.

Integrations: Google Workspace SSO, Apple Business Manager, VPP and the API all connect, and I pull device data into Wazuh. One limit is that Google directory sync supports only one org per tenant.

Performance: Pushing agents and scripts to 20+ Macs finishes in minutes. Locked iPhones leave actions pending until they’re unlocked.

Pricing / ROI: One tenant covers two companies, and automation replaced hours of manual agent installs.

Support / Onboarding: The help center and forum answered most of my questions. I’d like clearer step-by-step docs for scripts and app deployment.

AI / Intelligence: Hexnode Genie writes a useful first draft of a script, which I then have to test. It sometimes gives no answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hexnode UEM?

**UI / UX:** The per-app Pre-install and Post-install script options only show up after you add the app to a policy, not on the app entry itself. I lost time looking for them. A filled-in App Identifier also made a Mac install fail with no useful message. Suggest: show the script option on the app page, and validate the identifier when you save.

**Integrations:** Google Workspace directory sync supports only one org per tenant. We run two companies, so the second stays on CSV import. The sync also won't save with zero groups selected, so I had to pick a group I didn't want. Extensible SSO has no Google support, and Hexnode staff say it's on the roadmap. Suggest: multiple Google connections per tenant, and the option to sync with no groups.

**Performance:** Statuses don't always match reality. A Windows Falcon install showed Failed ("unable to meet success criteria" and "no payload metadata") while the sensor was installed and running. Actions to a locked iPhone sat Pending for hours. A script with the "every user log on" trigger on a headless VM timed out after about 25 minutes with no output. Suggest: show the reason a command is Pending, and warn when the trigger can never fire.

**Pricing / ROI:** The 100-device cap pushed us to leave Linux servers out of Hexnode entirely. LAPS Advanced is a paid add-on. A cheaper inventory-only tier for servers would help.

**Support / Onboarding:** The docs don't explain how Mac and Windows differ. The Windows app has a command-line parameters field and the Mac one doesn't. I couldn't find how to update the Windows agent when Live Terminal needed a newer version. Suggest: a short how-to for the agent update and a version requirement listed next to each feature in the portal.

**AI / Intelligence:** Hexnode Genie writes a useful first draft of a script. It left a placeholder path in one script, and it sometimes returns no answer at all. Suggest: have it use your real portal values and check the script before showing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
