"HappyScribe Saves Me Hours: Accurate Transcripts, Great Summaries, Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about HappyScribe?

I’ve been using HappyScribe for three years, and I still prefer it over any other A.I. transcription service or notetaker I’ve tried. I set up a custom glossary for oddly spelled names and words, so my transcripts automatically come out with the correct spelling.

I rely on the integration with Zoom, as I use it for transcriptions and notes from my coaching sessions, book club discussions, and podcast episodes. My HappyScribe notetaker is always on time, and captures everything.

Once I'm logged into the website, I can easily find the notes I want to use, and then I use the “Ask me anything” feature to generate specific things I need such as podcast chapters with timestamps and show notes.

Periodically, I will upload a file to the website for direct transcription. When I realized that it was placing the transcriptions in the same general folder, I reached out to support and suggested they give us the option to choose a specific folder for the final output. Voila! They made it happen. I appreciate the fact that their support team is not only open to suggestions for improvement, but is super responsive if there are any issues with a recording.

There was a time when a transcription from an important meeting didn't appear in my dashboard. We all know there are sometimes glitches with technology, and this was one of them. I reached out to support, and they actually had to do some digging to figure out what happened. They did whatever they needed to do, and I got my transcript! To me, this is just as important as a great product. Because EVERY product will break down at some point. It's how the support is in those times that impacts THIS recommendation, because their support team is always responsive, respectful, and dedicated to finding a solution. They don't talk down to me or make me feel stupid for asking.

One of the newer features I’m really enjoying is the app. When I’m in a spontaneous but important conversation, or I need to capture details from an impromptu meeting, I can pull out my phone, open the app, and record with complete confidence that everything will be captured and summarized for me to review later.

And the meeting summaries? They are SO GOOD. Sometimes I get “summarized” notes from other people’s A.I. (e.g., Fireflies or Read) and… yikes. They’re so long that I might as well reread the transcript. HappyScribe’s summaries are concise, accurate, and actionable.

As a solopreneur, HappyScribe works for me like an employee. The return on investment is more than just dollars. It's time. HappyScribe saves me time, and the new integration with Claude just cut another 20 minutes off my workflow! I couldn't be happier with this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HappyScribe?

In the past, I would have listed a couple things that bugged me about HappyScribe such as not being able to choose where to upload files, having to search all over to find the "invite to meeting" link for the notetaker, and overall navigability of the site. But now? I don't really have any issues at all. They are constantly working to improve the product and the user experience. It gets better all the time. I love HappyScribe. Plus, now they have an app! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Simon R of HappyScribe

Wow, thank you for this, Laura. Three years in and still choosing us over everything else you've tried means a lot, especially from a solopreneur where every tool has to earn its place.

I love that you called out the folder-choice option. That one started as your suggestion, and it's exactly the kind of feedback that makes the product better for everyone. The support story matters to us too: you're right that every product hits a glitch at some point, so being responsive and respectful when it does is the part we care about most. I'll make sure the team who dug out that lost transcript sees this.

Great to hear the app, the "Ask me anything" feature, and the summaries are all pulling their weight, and that the new Claude integration cut another 20 minutes off your workflow. That's the ROI we most want to give you: your time back.

Thanks for being with us all this time. It genuinely made my day.
