I love HappyScribe’s accuracy. I primarily use HappyScribe for YouTube and other video transcripts, and it’s consistently the most accurate option I’ve found compared to AI LLMs. When I ask an AI LLM to create a detailed transcript of a YouTube, TikTok, or Ruble video, it usually isn’t what I need or want. HappyScribe delivers the kind of transcript I’m looking for, and it does so with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the pricing of the service. I don’t like that you charge extra for human accuracy and then also charge per transcript. I understand paying more for human-in-the-loop assistance, but nickel-and-diming customers per transcript (a set number of hours) isn’t a great model when they’re already paying a premium price. Thanks for this, and for the kind words on accuracy. Being the transcript you actually reach for over a general AI, especially for YouTube and video work, is exactly where we want to be, and it's good to hear it's helping you get more done without adding headcount.
On pricing, I hear you, and I appreciate you spelling it out. One thing worth flagging that might help: on our premium tiers, recordings come with unlimited minutes, so meeting captures aren't metered the way you describe. Where it is measured is the regular upload and transcription/subtitle service, which is allocated in batches of minutes depending on your subscription. So depending on how your usage splits between the two, there may be a setup that fits you much better. If you email support@happyscribe.com with roughly how you use it in a typical month, the team can walk through the options with you, and I'll pass your feedback on the model along to the people who own pricing.
Thanks again for taking the time to lay it out so clearly. It genuinely helps us.
