From an attendee viewpoint, I like that Gythr seems focused on reducing the friction that can make conferences overwhelming. Having my ticket, personalized schedule, real-time updates, event information, and networking all accessible from one place and without needing to download another app makes it easier to focus on actually experiencing the event. My biggest dislike about Gythr? That I didn’t find out about it sooner 😂. I’ve attended and worked countless conferences and events where I’ve had to bounce between emails, screenshots, schedules, random apps, and LinkedIn just to navigate the experience and remember who I met. My second complaint is that more events aren’t using it yet. As someone who attends a lot of events, I’d love for this type of experience to become the norm rather than the exception.
