What do you like best about Gusto?

Honestly, the best part of Gusto is that it makes payroll feel like a non-issue. I set it up once and it just runs on autopilot each cycle, calculations, tax stuff, direct deposits, all handled without me having to babysit every line. Benefits and HR basics like onboarding and PTO are baked in too, so new hires can just self-onboard and fill out their own paperwork instead of me chasing them down. Basically turned payroll from a dreaded chore into something I barely think about anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

It's pretty limited when I need something more specific, like a custom breakdown or date range, so I end up exporting to a spreadsheet and doing it myself. Also, the PTO balance shown includes hours I've already used but that were just approved, so it's not actually an accurate "available" balance at a glance. I have to do the math myself to know what's really left. A more flexible report builder and a PTO balance that reflects real time available hours would go a long way.
