## Guru Reviews
 ### 1. A fast and user-friendly knowledge platform with room to grow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iasmin L. | Project Author, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Guru?**

I really appreciate Guru’s agility and ease of use. Creating and editing cards is simple and intuitive, which makes documenting processes and sharing knowledge across teams much faster. The interface is clean and straightforward, and collaboration is seamless.

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

wish there were more formatting and customization options when creating cards—especially for tables and text editing. Dropdowns are useful but reduce the available space significantly when images or tables are added. It would be great to have the ability to schedule a specific day and time for publishing a card. Also, the homepage could show favorite or followed cards with notification icons, similar to message alerts (e.g., “3 followed cards were updated”). For announcements, it would help to have more character space and the option to bold keywords for better emphasis.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guru helps centralize team knowledge and ensures that everyone has access to the most up-to-date information, which is especially helpful in a fast-paced environment. It reduces dependency on back-and-forth messaging and prevents information from getting lost across platforms. However, one issue has been the lack of reliable email notifications for card updates or announcements, which sometimes causes delays in viewing important changes. Having consistent, customizable notifications would make the tool even more effective.

 ### 2. Automated Verification Keeps Our Knowledge Repository Trustworthy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dairon P. | Quality & Knowledge Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Guru?**

What I like best is the automated verification workflows. Instead of the content becoming obsolete, the platform enforces ownership by prompting subject matter experts to re-verify knowledge on a set schedule. This maintains a highly trustworthy repository for our support specialists directly inside our communications tools.

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

The card-based UI/UX is overly rigid for long-form technical documentation, causing fragmentation. Additionally, onboarding new users is difficult because the advanced search requires highly precise keywords, often leading to initial navigation frustration and steep adoption curves.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform eliminates fragmented information silos across our organization. Through native Slack and browser extensions, our frontline specialists access verified answers directly in their live workflows. This direct data access minimizes context-switching and significantly impoves search performance and support response times.

 ### 3. Clean, Modern Interface with a Smooth, Organized User Experience

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

What I dislike about Guru is that sometimes a few features could be more customizable and detailed. While the interface is clean and simple, advanced options or deeper settings would make it even more powerful for experienced users. Also, adding more integrations and improving occasional loading speed in certain sections could enhance the overall experience.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guru is solving the problem of scattered information and lack of clarity in day-to-day work. Instead of searching through multiple sources or asking different people for the same details, everything is organized in one place. Saving time – Quick access to accurate information without confusion. Improving productivity – I can focus more on my tasks instead of searching for answers. Better collaboration – Everyone stays aligned with updated and verified information. Reducing errors – Clear and structured data minimizes mistakes.

 ### 8. Guru Delivers the Right Answers Fast—Lightweight, Searchable, and Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** khushboo s. | travel agent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Guru?**

Guru’s biggest strength is how it delivers the right information exactly when and where you need it. Whenever we have a question, we can quickly check Guru and find reliable answers. It keeps everything lightweight, user‑friendly, and easy to search.
With the new feature that allows us to ask Guru questions directly, getting detailed information has become even easier. It’s incredibly useful for travel workflows, policy updates, and saving supplier information. Overall, it’s a great tool that makes our work faster and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

Guru is a great tool, but there are a few areas where it can feel limited. Sometimes the options and search results don’t always bring up the most relevant cards, especially when content isn’t tagged properly or when there are many similar cards. For more detailed or long‑form documentation, Guru’s card format can also feel a bit restrictive compared to tools like Confluence or Notion.
Guru works best when everyone on the team is consistent about updating and verifying cards. When some teammates don’t maintain their information, it affects the overall accuracy and usefulness for everyone.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guru helps solve several day‑to‑day challenges I face as a travel agent. One of the biggest problems is having travel information scattered across different platforms—emails, chats, supplier portals, policy documents, and past conversations. Guru centralizes all this information in one easy‑to‑access place, so I don’t waste time searching for the right details while assisting clients.
It also helps with accuracy. Travel policies, fare rules, visa requirements, supplier updates, and internal procedures change often. Guru’s verification and update features ensure that the information I’m using is current and reliable, which reduces mistakes and helps me give clients the right guidance faster.
The option to ask Guru questions directly is especially helpful. Instead of digging through multiple resources, I can get quick answers about processes, supplier contacts, or travel guidelines, which speeds up my workflow—especially during peak seasons or urgent bookings.
Overall, Guru helps me work more efficiently, respond to clients faster, and deliver a smoother, more professional travel experience.

 ### 9. Efficient Knowledge Access, Needs AI Improvements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Guru?**

I use Guru as an internal knowledge base for finding company resources quickly. I like that it's easy to find things, and the search feature is especially valuable. I appreciate that the cards aren't focused on formatting, which takes the pressure off making them look super pretty. The initial setup of Guru was pretty easy, even though transferring resources was a lot of work, it wasn't technically complicated.

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

The AI responses in Guru definitely need improvement. There are some small glitchy things, like needing to be part of the verification group to have edit access to a collection. This means when I edit a card, it automatically gets verified, even though I'm just editing for formatting and am not a subject matter expert. Also, if I move a card between collections, it automatically verifies it.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guru to find company resources quickly, like HR policies and tech support tools. It's easy to search and has significantly cut down on the time employees spend looking for resources as well as the amount of questions subject matter experts receive. We switched from Confluence because searching was hard, there were no analytics, and the UI wasn't appealing.

 ### 10. Flexible All‑in‑One Workspace with Strong Visual Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kushal K. | Customer service Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Guru?**

A flexible, all‑in‑one workspace for documentation, wikis, project management, and lightweight databases. It’s often favored for its customizability and strong visual organization. It also works well as a simple, collaborative knowledge base, with AI‑powered search and verification, and it’s designed to support growing teams.

**What do you dislike about Guru?**

Search Can Be Inaccurate or Overly Dependent on Tags. Guru’s search often struggles when I type partial matches or use different terminology. It also tends to return too many similar results, which becomes especially noticeable in larger knowledge bases. Guru also can’t create step-by-step flows, decision trees, or other structured guides, even though those are important for process-heavy teams. As a result, users end up scanning long cards instead of being guided through the information in a clearer way.

**What problems is Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guru creates a single, trusted place for internal information—policies, product details, workflows, sales knowledge, and more—and keeps it accurate through owner-assigned verification cycles. With everything in one place, I always know where information lives. I don’t have to dig through Slack threads, drive folders, or outdated docs to find what I need. I can trust that what I’m reading is up to date, which leads to faster decision-making, fewer mistakes, and less confusion.
