"Guidemaker Review"
4/5
What do you like best about Guidemaker?

Guidemaker offers very simple and user-friendly. We can easily start recording, perform the workflow normally, and Guidemaker captures the actions/screenshots. The generated guide can then be edited and customized.

Guidemaker has the ability to generate a guide quickly from a recorded workflow. Its website demonstrates guide generation in about 25 seconds. It supports both browser capture and desktop capture on Mac/Windows.

It allows integration with various tools like Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, ClickUp, Zendesk, WordPress, Webflow and Coda. It also supports sharing through links and exports such as PDF, HTML, Markdown and video on paid plans.

The onboarding process is quite simple with a short getting-started guide and a free starting tier. Paid Team and Enterprise plans add dedicated customer success, while Enterprise includes custom onboarding and training.

AI is the core strength of this tool as it observes the user's actions and automatically converts them into structured documentation. Guidemaker uses OpenAI for its AI features.

This tool offers an excellent ROI for those who frequently create SOPs and training documentation. There is a free tier; Plus is currently $10/user/month when billed annually, and Team is $8/user/month billed annually with 5 editor seats included. Enterprise has custom pricing. What do you dislike about Guidemaker?

Guidemaker is primarily designed for creating step-by-step guides and SOPs. It is not a replacement for project-management, ticketing, knowledgebase, or workflow-automation platforms.

Although Guidemaker supports browser and desktop recording, capturing workflows involving multiple applications or unusual environments may not always be as seamless as documenting a standard browser-based workflow.

Because workflows and screenshots may contain internal or sensitive information, organizations need to evaluate how captured data is stored and processed before using it for confidential processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
