## Guidebook Reviews
 ### 1. User-Friendly Handbook with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ewa M. | Admin officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I like that Guidebook is extremely user-friendly, which makes it accessible and easy for both myself and the students who use it. The interface is intuitive, with clear and easily navigable tabs that provide a seamless experience in finding whatever information we need swiftly. I appreciate that all necessary information is consolidated in one place, making it convenient and efficient for our students to have all important content readily available when they arrive in Ireland. The clarity and organization of the platform stand out, as it simplifies the process of accessing and understanding the handbook, which is crucial for our students.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I notice a difference in the view between the phone and the desktop, which can be problematic. When I look at Guidebook on a laptop, the content appears very small on the large screen, making it difficult to interact with. Scrolling down is also an issue, as the layout seems awkward. This inconsistency and size of the displayed content could definitely be improved to make the experience more seamless across devices.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guidebook to centralize important information for students in one user-friendly platform, making it easy to access and navigate essential details.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> It's great to hear that Guidebook is making it easier for you to communicate with your students and have all the information in one place. We strive to continue providing a valuable platform for your needs.

 ### 2. Seamless Event Management and Outstanding Support with Guidebook

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** McKenzie S. | Assistant Director of Admissions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Having our own app through Guidebook has allowed our campus event to flow smoother and make for a better guest experience. We use our app for all of our large-scale events and our daily campus visits to provide additional resources, such as academic flyers, dining options, and information about each session, in addition to the agenda, parking map, and campus map, all things we used to just attach to our emails. Guidebook has been very easy to implement in our office and integrate into our events . Our customer service representatives are always willing to hop on a call, or walk me through how to use certain features as well.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Honestly, there's nothing I currently dislike. I think anything I have had concerns about have had solutions either readily available or available should I upgrade our plan.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the issue of needing to make last minute changes to the agenda, list of participating departments, or session locations. We used to have to wait to finalize the agenda until the day before due to outside parties' involvement in our events. Now if someone has to pull out of the event, we can easily just log in and remove them from the agenda or list of participants.

 ### 3. Meaningful Connections Thanks to Guidebook.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JT F. | Senior Coordinator, Parent and Family Engagement, University of Georgia, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

With an easy and intuitive interface, Guidebook allowed us to connect in a meaningful way with event attendees, using customizable menu pages, profiles, and notifications to convey event updates and ensure timely communication.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I honestly can't think of a downside to Guidebook right now, it has always worked for our needs and events.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allowed us to share a 4-day event schedule to over 3,000 people with nothing more than a push of a button. It solved the problem of last minute schedule changes, the need to communicate changes in multiple places, and the possibility of reprinting or reposting schedules due to minor changes. The ease of scheduling, including walking directions and exact dates and times for attendees, made sure even those using it for the first time had an enjoyable experience.

 ### 4. Effortless Event Management with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel B. | Member at Large, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I recently used Guidebook for a conference with around 2,000 attendees. In the past, we had relied on something called Webex. My experience with Guidebook was very positive—it was affordable, straightforward to set up, and the customer service was excellent. I received significant support and communication while learning how to best populate our event app and enhance the user experience.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

At this point, I don't have any clear dislikes. As I explore more features, I might come up with suggestions for improvements or additions. I would recommend getting familiar with guidebook as early as possible, since the sooner you do, the more features you'll be able to take advantage of.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook supplied both a guide and an app for our annual conference, which made it easier for attendees to connect with each other, find their way to different talks, and stay updated on important features and announcements related to the event.

 ### 5. User-Friendly Conference Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keely P. | Communications Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I really appreciate the ease and simplicity that Guidebook offers, both in creating and using apps. This ease of use is a stand-out feature for my company and myself. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making the process of putting the app together straightforward, whether you're a user interacting with it or a creator building something new. It's super easy to use, which is invaluable for us. Additionally, Guidebook makes it uncomplicated to manage our conferences and larger events with clarity on the schedule and organization, which are crucial for effective event management. The initial setup of Guidebook was very straightforward as well, even for someone like me who doesn't have much experience creating apps. Overall, these attributes make it an efficient tool that delivers clear benefits to our team.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I find the process of creating new apps within Guidebook confusing at times. When attempting to create multiple apps throughout the year, particularly over multiple years, there's a lack of clarity and direction. This confusion is exacerbated by the issue that older branded apps don't seamlessly transition to new branded apps. For our users who have previously downloaded apps, the old apps still appear, which causes further confusion.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guidebook to manage conferences and large events, providing clarity on schedules and organization, representing sponsors effectively, and granting franchisees easy access and management for attending events.

 ### 6. Great Agenda Visibility and Attendee Connections, but Costly for Small University Teams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

ability to see the full agenda and connect with attendees even prior to the event.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The cost of using Guidebook for a small department at our university. As an event planner, I want to use Guidebook, but its cost is prohibitive.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing one platform to have an agenda, content, and ability to make real-time changes.

 ### 7. Visually Cohesive but Needs Enhanced Session Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurel J.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I really appreciate Guidebook for how user-friendly and visually pleasing it is, which made it a hit at our Annual Conference. The user interface, along with the Builder, is intuitive and straightforward, allowing for easy editing and publishing. It centralizes all necessary information in one place, making it incredibly convenient. I loved how customizable Guidebook was, as it allowed us to incorporate our own branding elements, such as colors, which made the app look cohesive with our conference theme. Additionally, being able to link our website and social media like Instagram directly within Guidebook was highly beneficial, as it kept participants engaged within the app itself. The initial setup was notably easy and allowed us to align it seamlessly with our existing brand and conference requirements. Overall, Guidebook provided a cohesive, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing experience that was well-received by everyone at our event.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I found that the session upload feature on Guidebook was problematic. I couldn't include presenter information within the session details, which forced me to create separate features for introducing speakers. It would be beneficial if session uploads could include presenter bios, headshots, and more, directly linked from the session details. Additionally, I experienced difficulties fitting session details into Guidebook's template, as it often caused errors during uploads. Also, I would appreciate having multiple templates suited for different types of events, offering more flexibility in design and content entry. Furthermore, I noticed the connect feature for participant interaction could be improved, and there was no social wall for attendees to share posts in a visible timeline. Lastly, the inability to edit the Guidebook upload template restricted our customization options.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook consolidates all information in one place, simplifies editing and publishing, enables easy communication, and features an intuitive interface. It looks appealing and aligns with our branding, enhancing the conference experience.

 ### 8. Intuitive, Reliable, and Excellent Support for Conference Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I use Guidebook for the onsite app for a conference of about 500 executives, and overall it’s been a great tool. The platform is very intuitive on the backend, and setting everything up and making quick updates is easy and painless. Attendees all seemed to access and download it easily as well, which is very helpful when dealing with so many people. The customer service is also excellent -- very friendly, very helpful, and very fast to reply or resolve issues or questions. Overall I would recommend this tool as it is reliable and user-friendly from both sides.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

My only real critique is that the reporting and analytics features could be a bit better. It doesn’t provide quite as deep a look at the user activity/engagement as some other apps I have used, and exporting full reports post-event can be a bit cumbersome.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an app like Guidebook makes it so much easier to keep attendees informed and updated. Having everything in one place is so helpful, and also being able to instantly change or make updates is great....if there is a last minute change to speakers, sessions, activities, locations, etc it is quick and easy to make those updates and helps to cut down on questions and confusion onsite. It also helped us to decrease print costs, as we uploaded a digital copy of the conference magazine right to the app, rather than having copies printed for every attendee.

 ### 9. Essential Tool for Seamless Conference Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I like how easy it is to navigate Guidebook, which significantly enhances user experience by making it straightforward to find information and manage tasks. I also appreciate that Guidebook allows us to keep all conference attendees on the same page, ensuring everyone has consistent information throughout the event. The real-time update feature is incredibly beneficial, as it allows us to make edits and updates on the schedule instantly, which keeps the information accurate and up-to-date at all times. We've been using Guidebook for quite some time and have found it invaluable in building upon different modules for our conferences, showcasing its adaptability and versatility in addressing our needs over the years. The ease with which we were able to integrate Guidebook into our processes and transition from paper schedules to a fully electronic system has been immensely helpful, indicating its seamless integration capability.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I wish Guidebook could incorporate its schedule into other tools like Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar, which would enhance its functionality and integration into my daily workflow.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guidebook for conference planning to keep attendees aligned and informed. It allows real-time schedule updates, making the planning process efficient and ensuring everyone is on the same page effortlessly.

 ### 10. Effortless Session Management, Needs Multi-Day Feature

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt H.

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I really appreciate how Guidebook helps me coordinate with all the attendees for sessions, providing a central hub for them to access assets and resources for their sessions. The feature that allows attendees to sign up for sessions themselves is particularly beneficial, as it significantly alleviates the need for me to coordinate their sessions with their availability, ultimately saving me a great deal of time. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Guidebook to be fairly easy, with the sandbox feature allowing me to thoroughly explore functionalities and simulate the user experience from an attendee's perspective. This made the transition smooth and offered a better understanding of how attendees would interact with Guidebook.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I find the lack of a feature to manage sessions over multiple days with specific times challenging. It would be beneficial if, when someone signs up for a session on a particular day, it automatically adjusts the overall session capacity. For example, if a session has 100 spots over 3 days at different times, and someone signs up for a spot on the last day, the system should reduce the maximum capacity of the entire session to 99.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guidebook to coordinate attendee sessions, providing a central hub for assets. It saves time as attendees self-sign and syncs sessions with their availability, improving efficiency.

 ### 11. Intuitive, Customizable Platform with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan M. | Associate Director for Residence Life, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I love using Guidebook because it’s become the gold standard in our industry for a reason. It’s intuitive, flexible, and built with users in mind. The platform is easy to customize, which allows us to create polished, engaging guides that fit our campus and event needs perfectly. Whether it’s for students, staff, or conference attendees, people find it easy to navigate and genuinely useful.

What sets Guidebook apart, though, is the team behind it. Their staff is incredibly supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in our success. They don’t just provide a product, they build relationships, checking in regularly, celebrating our milestones, and helping us troubleshoot any challenges that come up. It feels like having a true partner who wants you to shine.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The only downside is the cost. Smaller organizations or programs with limited budgets may find it difficult to afford. That said, Guidebook’s pricing does seem to scale based on size and need, so there’s flexibility depending on the scope of your use.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook helps us solve several challenges at once. It centralizes information in a clean, accessible way so students, staff, and conference attendees always have what they need right at their fingertips, from schedules, maps, links, updates, to announcements. It’s eliminated the confusion and paper waste that often come with large events or complex programs. Having everything in one easy-to-navigate app improves communication, reduces last-minute questions, and helps our team stay organized and professional. The customization features also allow us to brand each guide for different audiences, creating a cohesive and polished experience that reflects our department and university well.

 ### 12. Brilliant and Intuitive—A Must-Have for Event Planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

This product is brilliant, its very easy to use and intuitive. i was recommended this product by a colleague who already used this service for his event. because of his recommendation i have used this product for 1 of my other event which i hosted in June 2025 . and i am currently using this product to build another guide which will go live sometime next week.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

i have no bad things to say about this builder.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saves papers and time
for my event we would normally print 'Delegates Packs'. the time it takes to print the documents to go on the pack and then collate the documents and put into the pack saves an incredible amount of time. in addition to the time saving, the most important factor is that we are saving the planet! which makes me very happy. :-)

 ### 13. Simple and effective event tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lyssa P. | Manager of Student Recruitment and Retention, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We are receiving more regular updates in terms of new functions and different ways to use guidebooke

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Higher education is really under major budget restrictions. I know that reducing pricing is not easy for companies but if there was a way to help us it would be amazing.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is creating an event app to centralize all important information pre event, during the event and post event.

 ### 14. Loved using this app for conference. It was beneficial to both us and our franchisees! We have used this app for every conference now, and all of the franchisees love it and comment on it each event.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keely P. | Communications Coordinator, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The customer support is always very responsive and efficient. I am always confident that they’ll quickly resolve any problems I may have.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I currently don’t have any dislikes. The app is easy to use for the creator and the user.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and ease of use for the creator and user.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad to hear that you found Guidebook easy to use for both creators and users, and that our customer support, features, and ease of integration were helpful. We're delighted that Guidebook has been beneficial for your organization and conference.

 ### 15. Incredible Customer Service and great functionality.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J S. | Integrated Operations & Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I’ve really enjoyed using Guidebook—it’s so easy to work with on the admin side, and being able to make real-time updates has been a huge plus for keeping our event running smoothly. It’s also super simple for attendees to use and looks great on their end, too. But honestly, the best part has been the customer service. Our rep, Christian, is hands down the most responsive and attentive rep I’ve ever worked with, and the tech support team is always quick to jump in and help with any questions or issues.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I think there’s room to elevate the impact of the banner ads—currently, their size limits visibility and reduces their overall effectiveness. I also ran into some challenges creating the graphics; more detailed design specs or templates would be really helpful here. Additionally, the process for bulk uploading sponsor logos felt a bit manual and time-consuming—streamlining that workflow could save a lot of time on the backend.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a new app vendor that was also affordable. Guidebook provides us with an app that is customizable at a great rate.

 ### 16. Good Option for Attendee Engagement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melody T. | VP Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Once the app is created for your event, it was easy to make edits. We could add or remove certain features without much trouble. We did receive positive feedback from those attendees that came for the networking component.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Maybe it's from lack of frequent use with the app, but creating the event from scratch was very time consuming. Given the size of our event, we debate whether or not it's worth the time and cost each year.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allows for more digital access before and during the event. It saves on printing costs and email communication having all the attendee information in the palm of your hand.

 ### 17. User-Friendly, Customizable Event Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aiyana D. | Admissions Counselor, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I like that Guidebook is a customizable app allowing for tailoring experiences to specific target audiences with unique tracks. This customization helps in creating an experience that I can be proud of in a relatively short amount of time. I particularly appreciate having a representative available to assist with this process, ensuring smooth creation and execution of plans. Additionally, Guidebook is user-friendly, making it easy to use without significant difficulty.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I think the option to copy for the schedule is something that would be helpful. Additionally, there are times where the platform could be more inclusive and intuitive.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Guidebook for our large-scale events to provide guests with a digital experience, offering quick updates and easier communication.

 ### 18. Good tool with shortcomings in Networking

Ease of publishing and editing the application

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Problems with the Networking tool, problems with push notifications on Android devices, some problems with logging in on Android devices.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides me with the mobile app for the event we are organizing in Colombia, and it provides us with a means for attendees to make connections with each other.

 ### 19. User friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aspen F. | Associate Director of Residential Life & Explorations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Now as a user instead of an implementer, I appreciate how easy it is to use.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Move the notifications tab to the top to make it more obvious.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for our orientation programs. We no longer have to print thousands of booklets and sheets of paper.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad to hear that you find Guidebook easy to set up and user-friendly. Our team is committed to providing great customer support, so we're happy to hear that you've had a good experience with us. ### 20. Effortless Conference Setup and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook helped us create a conference that connected with our audience. It was extremely easy to set up, and gave us ample data to share following the conference. We had a great experience with set up with an excellent rep who walked us through all the features available.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There were no real downsides to the use. Our issues tended to be on a user basis, but through our training we were able to get attendees up and running.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running a yearly national conference can make it difficult to manage the data from attendees. Guidebook solves this problem!

 ### 21. Extremely useful platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan D. | Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook is an exceptionally easy tool to use, and it pays dividends. We've seen a great success with our rollout, and a high percentage of our students and families use the platform during our large events. It's incredibly helpful to have all of the unique tools in one app; we're able to not only craft a schedule, but include documents, push updates, list the office hours, and much more.

While I wasn't involved in the implementation period, the customer service from our rep is outstanding. She's always got great tips and tricks that add to the ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Sometimes, I think there are too many clicks once you're actually using the app. We've had a number of families share feedback that they couldn't find the different features, when in reality they didn't click far enough. It may be an error on our end, but we can't quite crack that.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an easy communication tool, an "all-in-one" scheduling app, and is easily accessible and customizable.

 ### 22. Effortless Content Editing and Navigation

It is easy to edit and add new content. Users find it easy to navigate for information. Love the variety of information that can be added including maps and images.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Wish it wasn't an app. Some of our users are in App fatigue

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have to provide a printed event schedule and spend tons of funds on printing materials. Also, it allows for real time changes and updates as some events are weather dependent. It provides an easy communication tool for quick updates and reminders for our users.

We’ve loved using Guidebook to support our Sage Leadership Festival experience. The app offers a thoughtful balance of functionality and simplicity—it’s lightweight on attendees’ phones, yet packed with powerful, interactive features that help bring our event to life.

One of our favorite aspects is how customizable and robust the content management tools are. We were able to share everything from agendas to speaker bios to venue maps in a clean, user-friendly format. The ability to make real-time updates—right from mobile—gave us flexibility and peace of mind throughout the event.

Attendees enjoyed the interactive elements, and our team appreciated how intuitive the back-end was to navigate. Guidebook made it easy to create a cohesive, polished experience that truly elevated our festival.

We’re excited to keep building on this platform for future events.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

While our overall experience with Guidebook was overwhelmingly positive, we did encounter a few challenges worth noting.

Creating custom schedules for attendees proved a bit complex and time-consuming on the back end. While the functionality is there, the setup process isn’t as intuitive as other parts of the platform.

Additionally, we experienced an app-wide issue during the event when attendees tried to access the networking feature to connect with one another—the app crashed consistently, limiting engagement in that section. We understand that occasional glitches happen, but this was a key feature for our audience, and we hope to see improvements in future versions.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook helps us deliver a seamless, centralized experience for our event attendees. It’s our one-stop shop for everything they need to know—without the hassle of bulky printed materials. From real-time updates to venue info and personalized agendas, all the details are at their fingertips.

One of the features we value most is the ability to keep information current throughout the event. If something changes, we can update it instantly—no reprints or confusion. Plus, the push notification feature is incredibly useful for driving timely awareness and keeping everyone in the loop.

 ### 26. A useful tool backed by a great team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook is a great tool to use for large scale events, particularly in education. However, my favorite part about using Guidebook is engaging with the team. The account managers who directly work with our office are always so friendly, willing to help, and take the time to get to know our personal needs for the tool. I love that they're always willing to listen to any feedback that we may have for future improvements, and that we have opportunities to learn from them about new features and updates.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Guidebook can be a bit tricky for some new users to navigate. However, I understand that familiarity comes with time and the design of the GB is up to our team as well. We're always looking for ways to improve the efficiency of our GB, and the GB team is always willing to give us suggestions on how to make ours better.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook provides an easy way to share important information with large groups of people. Our office runs Orientation for incoming first year undergraduate students, which is usually a little more than 1,000 students.

 ### 27. Handy for big programmes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It's intuitive and easy to update, so great for people not super familiar with the app

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The updates are not coming through immediately, so you have to wait

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all the information in one place, so people can visit the app if they have any questions about the programme agenda.

 ### 28. User friendly, easy to navigate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NJACAC P. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It is user friendly and easy to organize and edit. Without having any prior experience, I was able to go in and make edits without having to reinvent the wheel. On the end user side, our attendees enjoy being able to see the schedule on their phones and it is nice being able to make changes in real time (something we can't do with the paper copy).

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The only downside is the expense. But in the current time, it makes more sense to have this online and pay for a virtual option.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to provide an online schedule for attendees and one that can be changed in real time.

 ### 29. Effortless Building Makes This a Standout Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Its easy to build and it's easy to use as an attendee. their team is also very quick to reply

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

It doesnt integrate with our credit claiming site

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have a conveniton journal program printed for all of our attendees. a mobile app is so much more convenient

 ### 30. Great product and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqueline H. | Operations Management Associate and Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It is very user friendly and easy to use. I like that they are affordable compared to other competitors and does not charged based on number of attendees, exhibitors or company.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I think the requesting a meeting is a bit difficult and the user has a hard time knowing they got a meeting request until they look at the agenda. I wish the notifications were more noticeable especially when someone sends you a request.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling meeting requests and a one way stop to know everything about our Summit.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're happy to hear that Guidebook is helping you with scheduling meeting requests and providing a one-stop solution for your Summit. We will take your feedback about meeting requests and notifications into account as we continue to enhance our platform.

 ### 31. One of the Best Options Available for Small Meetings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I've been using it for years, so I'm pretty familiar with it, how to uploads items, how to make changes. It's easy to make changes and push out an update at the last minute, such as when a speaker cancels. For users, once they download the app, it's pretty user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I prefer the metered guide, since it is much more affordable for my small meeting. Guidebook offered me a discount to help transition to the new pricing structure, but I suspect I'll have to find a less expensive alternative going forward.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have to create, print, and ship a hardcopy program to our event, which saves money, and we can make updates on the fly if some of the meeting details change.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We understand the importance of affordability, and we're constantly working to provide the best value for our customers.

 ### 32. Great app for sharing conference information.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan L. | Marketing & Communications Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy to use and update! Our guests and lecturers really seemed to like the platform, and I was happy with the options that were available (ex. adding photo albums, maps, schedules, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There are a few user experience things that took some figuring out, but overall I had a positive experience. Unfortunately they changed their subscription types part way through setting up our guide that caused a small publication snag. The change was a little disappointing because in previous years we were able to use a year round guide for the price we paid, but they changed it to a 90-day guide.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to find information for conferences with a lot of details! Easy for folks to find your guides as well.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Guidebook! We're thrilled to hear that you found the platform easy to use and update, and that your guests and lecturers enjoyed it. We appreciate your feedback on the user experience and subscription changes. We're constantly working to improve our services and will take your comments into consideration. If you have any further concerns or need assistance with your guide, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. We're here to help ensure your experience with Guidebook is as smooth and successful as possible. Thank you for choosing Guidebook for your conference needs!

 ### 33. Great platform for keeping interns engaged and communications organized!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The most helpful feature of Guidebook is that it offers a plethora of tools that helps to support our intern programming opportunities and events. It also is a great tool and platform for our interns to connect ahead of the internship program. The capabilities behind bulk uploading and integrating the intern class into the app is also very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Our team would like to explore and customize the Leaderboard feature further to help with program engagement and enhance their overall experience; however, we are limited to only the pre-loaded challenges.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us have a streamlined means for organizing intern communications and opportunities, as well as increase engagement in advance of the program to help eliminate the potential for reneges.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> It's fantastic to hear that Guidebook has been instrumental in supporting your intern program and increasing engagement. We appreciate your feedback about the Leaderboard feature, and we'll certainly take that into account as we continue to enhance the platform.

 ### 34. Great so far but needs work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook is easy to get used to building within as a first time user, especially if you are using templates. If you do get stuck, there is a wealth of help online on their website and the customer service is very proactive.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

So far you cannot directly replicate the app as an online version. This is unhelpful in terms of accessibility for things like screen readers etc. In addition to that, you are only able to upload files as PDFs. This means users cannot download something like a template and use it for their own purposes - we would have to create a dropbox or cloud link and get the raw document to them like that. This is a significant yet simple feature that is lacking.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is keeping all of our information about the upcoming event in one place; users won't need to keep track of emails etc as they can happily navigate around the app and find all relevant information there.

 ### 35. Guidebook during a big event

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

What I like most about guidebook is the UI is pretty simple to understand. It has a bit of a learning curve but once you get the idea of what you're looking for, the app is simple to use throughout a long event. I would open the app multiple times a day for different actions.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I would say sometimes the app would not be ready for such a big event so when we are using it, it takes about 20 minutes for us to be able to log people in and use it.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems guidebook is solving is signing people up for different classes and the ease of signing up and utilizing the attendance.

 ### 36. Guidebook made it easy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Luxury Goods & Jewelry | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I loved how easy Guidebook made it to create and customize our event app. The user-friendly interface let me update schedules and content on the fly, and attendees appreciated having everything in one place. It was a great tool for keeping everyone informed and engaged before and during the event.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

One thing I wish Guidebook offered was more flexibility in customizing and designing the homepage. It would be great to have more options for layout, branding, and adding additional buttons or quick links to better fit the unique needs of our organization’s events.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Guidebook because it streamlines event communication and keeps all essential information in one easily accessible place for our members. It solves the problem of outdated paper schedules and scattered updates by allowing us to make real-time changes, send push notifications, and provide interactive tools like maps and attendee lists. As RJO, we benefit by offering a more organized, professional, and engaging experience for our retailers and vendors, helping them stay informed and connected throughout the event.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're love to hear that Guidebook has made it easy for you to create and customize your event app! Our user-friendly interface is designed to help you keep your attendees informed and engaged.

 ### 37. Effortless Event Tracking with Clear Group Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Very clear to show the events throughout the day and which groups belong to each event.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I have to create the event each time, and cannot duplicate it.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can easily communicate with the users about updates or edit the events if things change.

 ### 38. Small Guide for University Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Associate Director of Career Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The personalized suggestions from our Guidebook rep were incredibly helpful and overall made the event go smoother!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

It took a little time to figure out some of the features, especially splitting our participants into tracks.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduced paper usage and cost, and made our participants more attentive to the schedule since they did not have to flip through a long booklet and could use their phones.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> It's great to hear that our personalized suggestions were helpful in making your event go smoother! We understand that some features may take time to figure out, and we're continuously working to improve the user experience. Thank you for sharing the benefits of using Guidebook, such as reducing paper usage and cost, and increasing participant engagement with the schedule.

 ### 39. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy to use, has most of the features we need included at the base price, no add on fees.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Publishing updates didn't always work correctly. Some users onsite were unable to open the app without difficulties but we worked through it.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have to print an onsite program/agenda as it was all included in Guidebook. This allowed us to make updates live onsite as they happened (room changes, speaker changes, etc.). Attendees were also able to connect with each other easily through the app. We also liked being able to send out push notifications to our attendees.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your important feedback. We always appreciate people taking the time.

I am sorry the publishing updates didn't always work, I would be happy to look further into this for you to ensure it doesn't happen again?

Really glad you were able to achieve so much through using Guidebook.

Regards,
Nathan

 ### 40. Easy and customizable application creation and experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy to integrate and configure. The options to customize it.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Advance options to customize the user interface

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage Events within my company

 ### 41. Annual guidebook user

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook is very easy to edit and easy to update. We use this app annually and our conference attendees say that the usability is easy. There are a large number of features that are easy to turn on and off.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I wish there were better ways to connect people for 1:1 meetings in guidebook. We have not explored this feature in depth.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allows use to host our conference information in a mobile app for our guests to use instead of printing large booklets of information.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Guidebook has been beneficial for hosting your conference information in a mobile app. We appreciate your feedback about the 1:1 meeting feature, and we'll keep working to enhance the app's capabilities.

 ### 42. A great software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keila F. | Admission Counselor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I appreciate the new features added like leaderboard, which significantly increased engagement on our guides. The software is straightforward and makes communication with users easy.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Features could use a better description on how to use. While having accessible Guidebook team members to discuss these things, I wish the software was a bit more user friendly so I didn't have to stop progress to schedule a meeting with someone.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a college hosting hundreds of students on our campus for Admitted Student Day and our fly-in program, communication with students has been a challenge in the past. As they are not enrolled students, we do not have them in our school email system, and sometimes need to provide quick updates that push notifications help share. The QR Code scanner to monitor attendance has helped us use interact to direct students to less attended sessions and keep an eye on what peaks students' attention the most. Having a clear schedule that students can access and register for ensures that they are aware of their options as well. We are still new in our Guidebook usage, but this year especially has shown great promise for what our relationship with guidebook can do.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the new features like the leaderboard and that it has increased engagement. We understand your feedback about the need for better descriptions of features and will work on improving that. We appreciate your input on making the software more user-friendly and will take that into consideration for future updates.

 ### 43. Indespensible for large events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan B. | Director of Admission Communication, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Ability to set up tons of features for guests to use at large events.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The back-end set-up isn't the most intuitive and there are a few minor bugs.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The mobile app allows us to provide self-guided tours to campus guests and provide a comprehensive schedule and visit opportunities for our campus open houses.

 ### 44. Guidebook for Incoming Students

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peyton C. | Admissions Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

There are a lot of ways you can customize your Guidebook to fit your needs from one thing to another.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

A lot of the features are not user friendly - logging in/adding guides can be difficult for our users. Also, things like push notifications and bulk adds can be very difficult to work with/not work at all.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for our admitted students who are coming to a new school/state most of the time. We use it for scheduling during our big weekend long event for admitted students.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for taking the time offer your feedback. I would love to learn more about the issues you faced with logging in and adding guides. We always strive to make the end user experience as positive as possible so it would be great to share with the product team. You can out at marketing@guidebook.com.

 ### 45. Use Guidebook annual for New Student Orientation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Love how many features there are! We are able to customize Guidebook to fit our needs very easily.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Things can get lost in Guidebook sometimes. This is more of an issue with how we organize things, however, and not Guidebook itself.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebooks allows us to advertise new student orientation events to the incoming students and their families. It provides one location with all possible information students need to know. Before, students would get confused or lost trying to navigate multiple websites trying to find this information.

 ### 46. Guidebook was a relatively easy to use and meet the features our team needed to create an app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Relatively straight-forward, good array of app features, easy to collaborate, decent customization

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Although it offers a decent customization experience, there are limitations to it, such as inability to change or remove gradients over headers, remove lines of text in the header, and so forth. While this is not a major issue, it limits creativity or the ability to shape the look to match our design.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a problem of needing an event app to host info but the lack of resources and time to develop one. Guidebook solves this by letting us easily and quickly create an app for our event. This benefits us in both time and effort and our event attendees.

 ### 47. Solid product!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kerry M. | Program Manager, Communications & Special Projects, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I joined a team mid-project and they put me in charge of our event app. It was really easy to pick up.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Some tasks are very tedious. I wish there were more bulk edit options for users and content.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was great to be able to send notifications to our attendees who were spread out across a large event space. We also saved a lot on printing by having agendas and maps in the app.

 ### 48. Streamlined, Intuitive and Reliable - A Must Have for Events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brayonna F. | Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy drag-and-drop builder for creating customized event apps with easy implementation. Real-time updates for schedules, maps, and speakers as needed. Engaging push notifications, live polling, Q&A, and surveys. Robust analytics for post-event performance tracking. The list goes on!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Limited design flexibility compared to fully bespoke, customizable apps. Learning curve for advanced features that could take time to fully understand and integrate. Price barriers for smaller events, groups, and non-profits.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On-site attendee engagement

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> It's great to hear that Guidebook is helping to enhance on-site attendee engagement at your events. We strive to provide a valuable solution for event organizers, and we're glad to hear that our platform is benefiting you in this way.

 ### 49. Guidebook was the right app for us!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlyn S. | Global Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook was very user-friendly for building all the necessary components for our event mobile app! Whenever I had a question, the customer service team was very quick to respond with solutions.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

We had a few issues when building out the QR code scavenger hunt game that required a lot of troubleshooting over multiple days, however, the customer support team was great to work with and resolved the errors that allowed the game to work efficiently.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allowed us to advance our event by taking the program to the next level, eliminating any paper products, and moving everything to the mobile app. We had over 50% of the attendees utilize the mobile app for the 1st year, which we were very excited about! This allowed us to save hundreds of dollars in printing and shipping conference materials to the hotel.

 ### 50. Using Guidebook for Michigan Tech's Orientation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Orientation Executive Staff - Communication Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I loved that Guidebook had an easy content creation system and allowed the usage of custom logos, documents, and other pieces that would be seen by the end user. I also liked the ability to be able to mass import and manage items through the Guidebook API with little trouble.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Guidebook does not offer as much technical customization as desired, and requires the usage of hidden techniques / quirks in the application to be able to complete a task. While the HTML formatting is nice in the Guidebook Builder, some elements that are supported do not show up visually in the editor, making it more difficult to display data in fanicer HTML ways that increases engagement with the users.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allowed us to communicate to all of the new students of the Class of 2028 and give out details that would otherwise rely on a large subset of the university's staff or mass communication methods that would be intrusive and too much for small announcements.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're glad to hear that you found Guidebook's content creation system and API management easy to use. We strive to provide a user-friendly platform for our customers.
