My very favorite feature of Grammarly is probbaly the weekly reports about how my writing is doing. This comes with the free version of Grammarly, too! It seems like it would be something you would need to pay extra for. You can see the little green arrow spinning as you are writing. It offers correction and tells you what was incorrect about a word or phrase. When you pay for the premium account, it will also offer helpful hints on syntax and plagiarism checkers. The program does not like the Oxford comma. I like seeing how my writing has improved each week in my weekly scorecard, but sometimes I need to write something that isn't grammatically correct (creating writing exercises that are incomplete sentences, poetry, etc) and I wish there was a way I could have this not counted again my overall score.
Additionally, sometimes there are programs or websites where the Grammarly program does not activate. For example, it does not work with the Canvas program that I use to grade my students, and it would be very helpful to have Grammarly capabilities there. I think I would be more inclined to invest in the premium product with the plagiarism checker if the product worked in Canvas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
