## Grammarly Reviews
 ### 1. The Best Writing Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse S. | Graduate Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

One of the newer Grammarly features that I found interesting is the Authorship tool. It can show how a document was created by identifying what was typed by the author, what was generated by AI, and what was pasted from another source. I think this is helpful in an academic setting because it provides transparency and can demonstrate originality in writing.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One area where Grammarly could improve is its ability to understand context. While many of the suggestions are helpful, there are times when Grammarly recommends changes that alter the intended meaning of a sentence or do not fit the purpose of the assignment. This is especially noticeable when writing academic papers that require discipline-specific terminology.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly is helping to catch errors in writing. I think it is very beneficial for students to help guide their writing.

 ### 2. Real-Time Writing Help That Makes My Emails and Reports More Professional

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JASWANTH P. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I love Grammarly’s real-time grammar and clarity suggestions while I’m writing. The “Refine” feature helps me tighten sentences and improve tone without changing my meaning, which has made my emails and reports much more professional. I also use the browser extension every day so I can polish content across different sites, and the plagiarism/citation support is a huge help when I’m working on longer documents. Overall, it’s saved me a lot of time by catching issues I’d normally miss after proofreading.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It does help me catch basic grammar mistakes, but I mostly dislike how intrusive and distracting Grammarly can feel while I’m writing. Many of the suggestions come across as generic, and at times it “corrects” sentences in a way that removes my intended tone or even shifts the meaning. I also find the feedback can get repetitive—especially in longer pieces—because it keeps underlining text and proposing the same types of changes over and over. Overall, I’d prefer more accurate, context-aware recommendations, along with better controls to reduce the noise and make the suggestions align more closely with my preferred style.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Grammarly, I often struggled to catch grammar, spelling, and clarity issues—especially in longer emails and reports—so I ended up spending extra time re-reading and still sometimes missed mistakes. I also worried about tone and whether my writing sounded professional enough for clients and teammates. With Grammarly, I can quickly spot problems and get clear suggestions while I write, which helps me improve the flow, tighten my wording, and keep a consistent, professional tone. As a result, I submit cleaner documents more quickly, spend less time editing, and feel more confident that my messages are easy to understand.

 ### 3. Real-Time Clarity and Polished Writing with Grammarly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krantee S. | Curriculum Design Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like most about Grammarly is how it improves clarity, grammar, and tone in real time as I write. It catches mistakes quickly, suggests stronger wording, and helps my communication feel more professional and polished across emails, documents, and everyday messages.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One downside of Grammarly is that some of its suggestions can come across as overly generic or end up shifting the intended tone of my writing. Also, more advanced features and the most detailed recommendations are limited to the paid plans, which can feel restrictive if you’re using the free version.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me address grammar mistakes, unclear phrasing, and an inconsistent tone by offering real-time suggestions and corrections as I write. It benefits me by improving the overall quality of my communication, saving time on editing, and helping me produce more professional, confident writing across emails, documents, and presentations.

 ### 4. Incredibly Helpful Real-Time Tone Detection Across Platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | Commodity Futures Trader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

The real-time tone detection is incredibly helpful for professional communication. It goes well beyond standard spell-check by showing me whether my writing comes across as confident, formal, or even a bit too blunt. I also appreciate that it’s cloud-based, since it follows me across different platforms like email, Google Docs, and project management tools.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes the suggestions feel a bit too rigid and can end up stripping the personality out of my writing. It also occasionally flags industry-specific terminology that I know is correct, so I have to manually ignore or dismiss those alerts. On top of that, the widget can be distracting when it pops up over certain buttons in some web applications.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps solve the problem of “proofreading fatigue.” After spending hours working on long documents or financial reports, it’s easy to overlook small contextual errors that standard software can miss. For me, it works as a final safety net, helping ensure that every email and report I send is polished, clear, and professional.

 ### 5. Fast Wording Help That Integrates Seamlessly with My Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johannes N. | Customer Experience Associate, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

One thing that i like about it , it's the fact that it can easily be integrated in almost all the tools i use, i document a lot in Notion and it helps with wording very fast.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I'd say where the icon is located, I find myself clicking on it while I don't even need it.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TIME SAVING: Before i was introduced to it, honestly it took me a lot of time when wording, as i deal with a lot of documenting which requires clarity for the person reading it , and before i had to copy and go paste words into a different tab/ tool and ask to rephrase it, and it was a hustle, but now i just automatically click on the icon without even leaving the website or switching to a different tab and that i gold

 ### 6. Great Writing Assistance, Minor Integration Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny D. | director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly when writing emails and curriculum. It helps me when I'm stuck trying to come up with a good way to word something, or when I miss typos or grammar errors. I like that it helps with communicating the best tone for my emails. I appreciate that it lets me choose how to change things, which means I can adjust my writing without losing my original content. Unlike other AI services, it doesn't change my writing completely.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I don't like that it gets in the way of the screen when I am writing and it blocks things so I can't see what's on the screen. I can't move it or adjust where it is on my screen. Sometimes it's not easy to integrate it on various places. I've had to sign in multiple times and sometimes it doesn't work.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps when I'm stuck on wording, catches typos and grammar errors, and ensures the best tone for emails.

**Official Response from Yana M:**

> Hi Jenny,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're glad that Grammarly saves you time when editing your writing.

As for your comment about the suggestions for proper nouns and names, we recommend adding those words to your personal dictionary. This will prevent Grammarly from providing suggestions for the words that are important to you. Here's how: https://gram.ly/cbbHWbj

 ### 7. Grammarly: The Must-Have Writing Assistant for Professionals and Students

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Great ai refinement of text and tools are really good to remove plagiarism

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Can be a bit more price sensitive and cheaper

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly is solving one of the biggest challenges I face in daily communication—writing with accuracy, clarity, and confidence. Before using Grammarly, I had to spend extra time manually proofreading documents, emails, and assignments, and even then, I often missed small grammar or punctuation mistakes. Grammarly eliminates this problem by instantly highlighting errors and offering real-time suggestions that improve grammar, spelling, punctuation, and even word choice.

Another major problem it solves is adapting tone and style for different contexts. For example, I need my academic writing to be formal and precise, my professional communication to be clear and respectful, and my casual writing (like emails or posts) to sound friendly and approachable. Grammarly’s tone detection and suggestions help me make these adjustments seamlessly.

It also addresses the issue of originality with its plagiarism checker, which is especially beneficial for research work, reports, and content writing. This feature gives me peace of mind that my work is unique and credible.

The overall benefit is that Grammarly saves me time, boosts my confidence, and ensures that my communication—whether academic, professional, or casual—leaves the right impression. It has essentially become my go-to digital writing assistant that improves both productivity and quality of output

 ### 8. Great Free Features, but a Glitchy Chrome Extension Can Be Irritating

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu (Hian) L. | EA/Operations Manager, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

User interface when using in chrome as an extension, it is sometimes, glitchy and mostly it bothers me more instead of helping.
There is no such app or way that I've seen where Grammarly can be integrated. I've been using free subscription, cz that's all help I need. Onboarding is smooth and never had any big issue where I needed to contact support. AI usage available where I can get unto 100 text generations for free.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Glitchy widget not every time it works smooth. Sometimes even after selecting the suggested correction, it doesn't correct the words properly. This makes me feel very irritated.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Minor grammar corrections is what Grammarly is helping me in. Example adding a comma or semi colon, then sometimes I use "In case if you want to" where "if" word is unnecessary. Things like that Grammarly helps me in.

**Official Response from Natalia K:**

> Hi Himanshu,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

 ### 9. Grammarly Ends Editing Fatigue with Always-On, Top-Tier Accuracy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele M. | Executive Assistant, Public Safety, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly solves the problem of 'Editing Fatigue.' When I’m deep into a 10-page business management report, it’s easy to miss subtle errors or lose my professional tone. Grammarly acts as a 24/7 peer reviewer that catches those slips, ensuring my grades reflect the quality of my ideas rather than my ability to spot a misplaced comma.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

While the technical accuracy is top-tier, I would like to see more diverse options for writing styles. Currently, the tool is heavily focused on "Correctness" and "Clarity," which is great for standard academic work, but it can feel a bit restrictive when I want to lean into a more creative or unique brand voice for my business. I’d love the ability to toggle between more specific "Personas"—like a storytelling style for marketing or a highly persuasive style for strategic proposals—without the AI constantly trying to pull me back to a standard "Professional" or "Academic" tone. It sometimes feels like it wants everyone to write in the same "safe" way, which can stifle a more distinct personal or brand personality

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often have to switch between high-level academic writing for my marketing studies and a more accessible, community-focused voice for my business. Grammarly helps me manage these transitions by flagging when my tone becomes too informal for an assignment or too "stiff" for a customer, helping me stay consistent across different platforms.

 ### 10. Essential tool for clear writing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Carlos D. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like best about Grammarly is how accurately it catches grammar and punctuation mistakes while also suggesting clearer and more natural wording. It’s easy to use, works in real time in my browser, and helps me write more confidently and professionally.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

What I dislike about Grammarly is that it can be overly aggressive and sometimes inconsistent with its suggestions, especially for more nuanced writing. It occasionally recommends changes that oversimplify the text or slightly alter my intended meaning. I’d like it to better adapt to my writing style and give me more control over which types of suggestions to prioritize or ignore.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Grammarly, I often spent too much time proofreading and still missed small grammar or tone issues, especially when writing in a hurry. Now Grammarly helps me quickly catch mistakes, improve clarity, and adjust the tone to match the context. This saves me time on editing and gives me more confidence that my emails, documents, and messages sound professional and easy to understand.

 ### 11. Fast, AI-Powered Writing Help with Seamless Chrome Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly P. | Public Relations Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I enjoy the integration with Chrome the best. I have been using Grammarly for personal, school, and work, for over 8 years. In that time, I have really appreciated how Grammarly has integrated well with other softwares, and I have slowly come to enjoy how much Grammarly is utilizing AI. Grammarly is so quick, helps my writing a ton (I am a writer), and also just helps with emails. I have recommended Grammarly to so many people.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I don't love how expensive Grammarly is a year. I pay the price because I use it so much, but the price has gone up, I believe, over the years.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am so much more confident in my writing with Grammarly. It helps me send emails and any documents with peace of mind, because I know they have been thoroughly checked. I have also saved so much time with Grammarly.

 ### 12. Grammarly: Your Friendly Writing Assistant for Clear, Professional Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JAYESH J. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Honestly, the best thing about Grammarly is that it acts like a helpful friend checking your work. It does not just fix spelling mistakes; it fixes your whole sentence. The most helpful part is how it makes things clear. If I write a long, confusing sentence, Grammarly fixes it so it is short and easy to read. It also tells me if I sound rude or angry, which saves me from trouble. It just makes me feel safe when I send emails because I know my writing looks professional.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Even though Grammarly is helpful, it has some downsides too. The biggest one is the price; the full version is actually quite expensive for a single person. Also, because it is a machine, it is not always right. Sometimes it marks things as wrong.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly fixes the problem of worrying about mistakes. It helps you by making sure your emails sound polite and your scripts are short and clear. It also catches spelling errors, so your job applications look perfect. Basically, it makes you feel confident that your writing is good and professional before you hit send.

 ### 13. Easy MS Office Integration, but AI Timeouts and Limited Support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Philanthropy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly integrates with most commonly used programs such as MS Office and web browsers like Chrome. It is fairly easy to access, though refinements in where and how Grammarly appears can alter workflows. I reguarly use the MS Office plug in for review of long documents and sometimes us the AI feature to revise and edit. I often prefer the responses and content more than CoPilot but a drawback in its performance is the ability to review larger amounts of text. At times, the AI will time out and it takes more tries to get it going than using an alternate platform. For Outlook emails, the proofreading is good but the prompts to improve are nt as responsive and do not seem to adjust in real time.
I am currently using the the enterprise-level product for our organization the pricing is fair but unsure if it will be useful enough to pay for separate AI enterprise services in addition to Grammarly. The support features are not fabulous, I've mostly been directed to FAQs, not much real time, chat support.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Having to run dual AI systems and no longer having the in-document proof/edit tool. The floating pin is not always responsive and hard to track where you are within a document. The AI email is also lackluster.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proofreading/Editing. I review large amounts of text-heavy documents and Grammarly has sped up the efficiency of the process tremendously.

 ### 14. Time-Saving Writing Assistant with Room for Contextual Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anubhav A. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I mainly use Grammarly to check for grammar errors and formalize the content that I write, like emails or articles. It helps rephrase sentences in a more clear way. It catches small mistakes that I often miss when writing quickly, and I don't need to proofread everything, which saves me a lot of time and energy. Grammarly has also helped me gain confidence in my writing. I really appreciate its real-time suggestions while typing. The initial setup is very simple I just needed to sign up, install the browser extension, and it started working. The integration with browser docs is really smooth. Platform is quick and responsive as well. It provides decent value in terms of the pricing

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I don't have many suggestions but sometimes it sounds very much formal even if you select the casual writing. It also fails to understand the context on some occasions and ends up with a different thing. Some suggestions don't always match the intended meaning.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to catch grammar errors, formalize content, and rephrase sentences. It saves me time by proofreading as earlier I had to spend extra time rechecking the content and still miss some mistakes but this tool helps avoid small mistakes, and boosts my confidence in writing while making the process easier. In the end, it just saves my lot of time.

 ### 15. Take your writing to the next level; the world is waiting for our next poet laureate!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael McBryde K. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like most about Grammarly is the way it has helped me improve my writing dramatically! Grammarly’s heuristic learning algorithm does more than simply make suggestions; it shows you alternatives and how to make suggested corrections with ease, such as the dreaded comma splice, how to properly use a semicolon, and other more common punctuation choices that novice writers face. With the help of Grammarly, I have gone from an inexperienced community college student who rarely took the proverbial pen to paper to writing Ivy League-level essays with ease on a regular basis. Don’t hesitate for a minute, sign up with Grammarly today and learn to write correctly, anytime, and every time!

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

There needs to be more adjustments in how many suggestions Grammarly makes for changing the words I choose. If I want to use more detailed; what some would consider more flowery English, that’s my choice, and I’m sticking to it!

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tend to dictate my essays and using Grammarly to catch commas or drop proper punctuation is a godsend! I’ve also taken to using the plagiarism checker on a regular basis.

 ### 16. Grammarly for Technical Writing and Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kovid R. | Head of Solutions Architecture, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I mainly use Grammarly for checking the grammar and style of my technical articles. I appreciate that it tries to improve my writing without messing it up and retains my style without rewriting full paragraphs. I love its ease of use and the extensive nature of its suggestions. I find the categories of suggestions, both in terms of correctness and also in terms of style and substance, very helpful. I use Grammarly with my web browser through Safari and Chromium plugins, where I can paste my writing into a simple editor and let Grammarly suggest improvements. Doing a Grammarly pass is often the last step before submitting my copy. It is pretty easy to use; the product is self-explanatory, and you get the gist of it after trying it a couple of times. I've been using Grammarly for many years, starting around 2012-13, and I use it across all my text editors and sometimes with my email.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I do feel that Grammarly should start supporting more and more languages, although I do understand how that is a hard problem, especially when you don't want the suggestions to be real and grounded in the experience of human-led writing and not AI-led writing. I think the price point could be slightly lower. $8/month paid annually would be much better value, but that's just me.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly improves my writing by retaining my style and giving specific suggestions without rewriting full paragraphs. It's a crucial last step for submitting my articles or the blog posts I write for my blog.

 ### 17. An Indispensable, Always-On Editor for Clearer, Polished Writing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly is a great tool for catching basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors that often slip through during my drafting process, but more importantly, it really is an indispensable tool to improve, rephrase, and polish emails and text to ensure clarity and tone (professional, informal, direct, simplifying, etc). Once I started using it, it became so convenient (and almost indispensable!) and acts as an "always-on" editor that saves me significant time during proofreading. I also like the fact that it is available across various platforms.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The only downsides are: (1) the cost of the Premium subscription and the fact that it cannot (to my knowledge) switch from English to French for text or translate text from English to French or vice versa. Also, with the arrival of AI, there exist many tools (ie Gemini, Chat GPT) which can be used to improve, rephrase or simplify, etc.. text, emails, paragraphs..

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As English is not my first language, Grammarly serves as an invaluable editing tool that helps keep my writing on track. It catches annoying typos, grammatical errors, and awkward phrases that I often overlook, allowing me to communicate more clearly, polished, and professionally. Since Grammarly explains its suggestions, I am gradually improving my writing skills over time. It works seamlessly across various platforms, saving me a significant amount of time. Essentially, it's like having a second pair of eyes that gives me the confidence to hit "send" without worrying about making silly mistakes.

 ### 18. Essential for Error-Free Writing and Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca P. | Middle School Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for proofreading both for my work as a co-editor of The Baptist Herald and for my personal correspondence. It's much easier to catch errors in punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure with Grammarly. I like that it helps me write like a pro, making my communication clear and understandable. Grammarly suggests ways to structure sentences more clearly and catches punctuation errors that change the meaning of sentences. It corrects my spelling errors and helps with verb forms. Also, Grammarly was very easy to set up even though I'm not very tech-savvy, and it integrates well with Google Docs, Publisher, Word, emails, and all my social media posts. Overall, I'm thrilled with how Grammarly works for me.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes Grammarly gets stuck, and even though it underlines a word in red, it will not give me the suggestion for that word.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly makes it easier to catch punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure errors, helping me communicate clearly. It suggests clearer sentence structures and corrects punctuation placement, changing sentence meanings. It also corrects spelling mistakes and verb forms, enhancing both my professional and personal writing.

 ### 19. Essential Writing Assistant with a Few Quirks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dorene S. | Journalist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for almost everything I do on my computer, whether it's a text or an email. It helps me, especially in creative writing. When hunting for just the right words or paragraph, I can count on Grammarly. When it comes to using the punctuation needed, Grammarly will tell me when I've chosen the wrong one and provide a correction. Grammarly meets my requirements better than any other program I've tried. When I needed help with the initial setup, Grammarly's assistance got it working in no time. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend or colleague.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

When writing a novel, especially one set in the 1770s, the vocabulary and manner of speech can cause Grammarly to mess up. It can struggle with characters like an uneducated mountain man, whose vocabulary won't match that of someone with a higher education.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for everything on my computer. It helps me find the right words in creative writing and ensures correct punctuation, pulling me through when I need it.

 ### 20. Necessary Improvements for a Complete Mobile Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie R. | Asistente de Dirección, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like that Grammarly helps me correct my texts, whether in English or Spanish, so that they have the proper grammar. I greatly value the artificial intelligence feature that helps me complete my ideas and write correctly, especially in English, which I find very useful for letters and emails. Although my native language is Spanish, I use Grammarly a lot for English because it helps me express my ideas in an appropriate and professional context. I also think it has been very practical for my work and on a personal level.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The use of artificial intelligence should be improved if I use it from my phone. Also, the AI assistance should be available in Spanish. That's what doesn't work well and should be improved. Moreover, it was easy to install, but difficult to find the way to access artificial intelligence to write something and have Grammarly help me correct the grammar and everything. It wasn't that easy to find that part.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me correct texts to ensure good grammar in English and Spanish. I use its artificial intelligence a lot to complete ideas and write letters and emails correctly in both languages.

 ### 21. Powerful for Academic Writing, Needs Better Activation Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Alexandra E. | Coinvestigadora proyecto AGRIOT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I really like that Grammarly gives me options to improve my writing and allows me to retrain it according to the context.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

When I install Grammarly, it automatically starts filling up the computer's processes and thinks everything needs to be corrected. I wish there was something where I could call it and only in that application; for example, if I am working on 3 Word documents, and I only need Grammarly in 1, it would allow me to work only on 1 and not be active by default in everything I open, because that slows down my computer. It's difficult at first because sometimes I need to correct my grammar in Spanish, and it tells me no, but then it does. And sometimes I need to correct it in English, but there are words I don't want to correct and others that I do later on. I haven't found how to make that 'dismiss' in such a way that it keeps one word, but not others.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to improve my academic writing.

 ### 22. Seamless, Fast, and Essential for Drafting Emails and Papers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Very helpful in assisting with mundane taskwork I don't feel like doing myself. For example, I often have to respond to emails or draft paragraphs for letters. With Grammarly I can easily write a very rough draft, provide a framework for what I would like to improve, and and receive something that can slightly modified and send. I also appreciate that this is optional, as I can also use Grammarly for academic papers and assignments which rely on no usage of AI. I couldn't function without it.
I also like that Grammarly is well integrated within multiple applications and feels seamless to use all across my daily computer usage, while still being fast and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The pricing is steep, I rarely find myself recommending Grammarly to students who would likely benefit from it. Due to the pricing I normally reserve recommending the program to professionals already working in the field. I am willing to justify the cost because I find it very helpful but if finances get tight I may avoid resubscribing when I leave academia. I also find myself getting confused with the UI/UX and find myself frequently having to trial different buttons until I find the feature I'm looking for.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly solves the problem I have of heavy procrastination in writing things I don't already inherently feel like doing (i.e. emails) and providing suggestions for how to reword sentences that are grammatically correct and achieve a specific goal (ex: "please provide alternatives to this sentence that are polite and professional")

 ### 23. Invaluable Tool for Error-Free Writing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aron M. | Technology Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I really appreciate how Grammarly is kind of invisible. It’s not something I have to think about; it just works when I write emails and blogs. It's seamlessly baked into the browser as an extension in Chrome, and it doesn't have a big impact on website loading times or performance, which is fantastic. I use it mainly for checking and correcting spelling and grammatical mistakes, helping me write cleaner and more concise business emails, documentation, and even blogs. It’s a big improvement over built-in spell checkers, and it has made me a better writer because I tend to get things right the first time more often now, which is cool. The grammatical tools are very helpful, and it helps me refine technical emails to make more sense to others.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I used to rely on Grammarly's sentiment analysis, but I don't really pay much attention to that anymore. There's also the feature for organizing documents and drafts, and I don't really use that much anymore. And there are a lot more AI features than there used to be, but I just don't really use them.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to correct spelling and grammar, making my messages and emails clearer and more concise. It helps improve my writing by addressing mistakes I might overlook due to dyslexia, and it's superior to built-in spell checkers.

 ### 24. Grammarly Makes Everyday Writing More Professional and Error-Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

My favorite part about Grammarly is the writing assistance feature. It allows me to finish up sentences quickly and rewrite sentences to make them more professional. I use Grammarly every day, especially when writing emails, it makes it easy to clean up punctuation or spelling errors.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

There are times when the Grammarly bubble may be in an inconvenient spot, and the other locations I can move it to are not much further than its original location, so it can be in the way at times.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my specific role, I write a lot of social media captions, as well as emails. Grammarly helps me cut down on time spent on these tasks by streamlining the writing process with its writing assistant feature. It especially makes it easy with their ability to integrate with my desktop and the apps I commonly use. This cuts my workload down in both writing and proofreading!

 ### 25. Versatile Writing Assistance with Glitches

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like that Grammarly can be used everywhere. It's really convenient to have it on my desktop and with Overleaf, because it provides writing assistance wherever I need it. I also appreciate its automatic text checking, which helps me quickly correct my writing. It aids in my learning too since when I reread and see what Grammarly suggests, I understand the right way to write. The recommendations are usually very good, making it a great improvement on my writing.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I've had some problems with the overlay with the Overleaf app, or the add-on on Overleaf. Sometimes it lags behind the text, and when you approve some edits, it will just basically copy something on top of another edit, and the final result will be wrong. It doesn't work very well. I end up writing it myself.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for checking my spelling and grammar as a non-native speaker. It automatically corrects errors and helps me learn the right way to write.

 ### 26. A Valuable Tool for Professional Writing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

It provides real time writing suggestions that improve clarity, grammar, tone, and overall readability. It helps me communicate more professionally and confidently while saving time on editing. I also appreciate that it adpats to different types of writing, such as emails, reports, and presentations, making it a valuable tool for everyday work

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One drawback of Grammarly is that it can be overly aggressive with suggestions, especially for tone, style, or wording. Sometimes it recommends changes that remove the writer's voice or don't fit the intended audience, so I still need to review its suggestions rather than accept them automatically.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps solve common writing challenges such as grammar and spelling errors, awkward phrasing, inconsistent tone, and lack of clarity. It benefits me by reducing the time I spend editing, improving the professionalism of my emails, reports, and presentations, and giving me greater confidence that my communication is clear, polished, and appropriate for my audience.

 ### 27. Real-Time Writing Improvements with Seamless Integration Across Apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like best about Grammarly is its ability to improve writing in real time without disrupting the user's workflow. The platform combines accurate grammar and spelling corrections with clarity, tone, and rewriting suggestions, helping users communicate more professionally and effectively across emails, reports, proposals, and other documents. Its seamless integration with browsers, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Workspace, and other applications means assistance is available wherever you write, while its AI-powered features can quickly refine wording, adjust tone, and enhance readability. For professionals, the biggest benefit is the time saved on editing and proofreading while maintaining a consistent and polished communication style.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One area for improvement would be the pricing model. It would be great if Grammarly offered greater discounts based on subscription longevity or rewarded loyal customers with automatic upgrades, additional AI credits, or enhanced features after accumulating multiple years of membership. A loyalty-based tier system could improve customer retention and provide better long-term value for users who consistently invest in the platform.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly solves the challenge of producing clear, professional, and error-free written communication by providing real-time grammar, spelling, clarity, and tone suggestions. It helps me reduce the time spent proofreading emails, reports, proposals, and other documents while improving the overall quality and consistency of my writing. ### 28. Essential Tool with Practical Suggestions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy B.

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly daily for professional and academic purposes without really thinking about it, which is great. It honestly helps me with more than just spelling and grammar mistakes. I like the tone detection because it ensures my message comes across the way I intended. Sometimes I ramble, and Grammarly helps me shorten it. The suggestions are easy to apply; you just click them, and they're pretty practical. It's good for proofreading and all the work I've used it for. I like the clarity suggestions and the tone guidance, and it works across multiple applications. I really like the new update, especially when I'm on my phone and texting, as it can help me as well. I've been using Grammarly for years, and I find it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Occasionally, I wish Grammarly had an option to review suggestions individually rather than accepting everything all at once. It's more of a preference than a necessity, but important to me because I'm responsible for my output.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly daily for professional and academic writing without thinking about it. It helps with more than spelling and grammar mistakes, like tone detection and clarity suggestions, ensuring my messages come across as intended and shortening rambles. It works across multiple applications, even when texting.

 ### 29. Effortless Writing Aid, Pricey Premium

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James K. | Supply Chain Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for literally everything, and I honestly forget that it is there sometimes. Grammarly helps keep my spelling on point when I'm typing too fast or hit the wrong key, and I also use it for sentence restructuring. I like its ease of use and how it stays out of your way until you need it, only popping up when necessary. The initial setup was a breeze, so easy that a monkey could do it or even a rock with a computer and a finger.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Honestly, the pricing. While I do use it and have it constantly on. When renewal comes up, I am always looking for a discount. If I were not able to get a promotion, I honestly would not pay full price for it and cancel. There are too many subscription services out there, and I am signed up for too many as it is. If they could stop making customers who want to use their service have to do a run and offer a discount up front, it would be a welcome gesture to their users.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to keep my spelling on point and for sentence restructuring across emails, slacks, documents, and code. It helps when I'm typing fast or make errors, and it's a reliable backup for wording and spelling.

 ### 30. Effortless Writing with Intuitive Tone Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc J. | IT Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like that Grammarly provides tone of voice control, along with helpful features like word selection and grammar input. It helps me maintain my four-point-o GPA, which is really important to me. I also appreciate that I don't have to think about using these features; they work all the time in the background without needing my input. I don't have to turn it on or remember how to use it, which makes it incredibly convenient. The initial setup was super easy and didn't take long at all, just a couple of minutes. After trying the free trial, I found it so valuable that I went ahead and purchased it.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I don't love the big green G that floats on the screen. It often covers up scroll bars or action buttons. It'd be nice if that could be moved.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like how Grammarly provides tone of voice control, word selection, and grammar input. It helps me maintain my 4.0 GPA. It works automatically in the background, so I don't have to think about using it.

 ### 31. Enhances Writing with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Director of Applied Sustainability, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like that Grammarly doesn't get in the way of most of the information on the page. I can still see everything while writing and editing, which is really helpful. I also appreciate the suggestions for changing the content, which allows me to think about how I can improve my work. Additionally, setting up Grammarly was pretty straightforward and relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes it's where it's located on the page with a small circle lower left hand side where I'm typically trying to use a pointer in that area. And I have to slide it out of the way. I'd like for it to always just kind of be somewhere else on the page, maybe in the top right corner of Microsoft Word. Where it doesn't interfere with the scroll bar or things I need to click on.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for editing English as a second language papers with colleagues from over a dozen countries.

 ### 32. Efficient Spell Check, Needs Better Tone Suggestions

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ally H. | SEO Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly to review the articles I'm writing or revising. I really like how it helps solve my spelling issues, especially since I tend to type too fast and make mistakes that even Google Docs doesn't catch. It's very helpful for a quick spell check. I also appreciate the ability to add specific words to my library, which makes it easier for me to ensure brand-specific spellings are correct without having to deal with unnecessary error flags. Moreover, the initial setup of Grammarly was very easy, one of the easiest programs or plugins that I have used.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I think Grammarly relies a lot on passive language, and a lot of these suggestions that are given are passive, which is not ideal for writing.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps solve my spelling issues, especially when I type fast and make mistakes that Google Docs misses. It's very helpful for a quick spell check.

**Official Response from Natalia K:**

> Hi Ally,

 ### 33. Seamless App Integration but Needs Refinement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Photography Intern

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly to proofread my messages and captions for photos. It helps me make sure that things are accurate grammatically and spelt correctly. Sometimes I even use it to change the tone of my messages. I like that I can easily integrate it into different apps that I use, like Google applications, iMessages, and Photo Mechanic, without having to switch between them. This seamless integration is really convenient. Also, there was no initial setup needed for Grammarly; it's pretty plug-and-play.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I feel as though sometimes Grammarly is inaccurate in its grammatical corrections and that it will try to change something to a different version and then try to change it back, and it keeps going around in a cycle.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to proofread messages and captions, ensuring grammatical accuracy and correct spelling. It also helps change the tone. I love that it integrates into apps like Google applications, iMessages, and Photo mechanic without needing to switch between them.

 ### 34. Seamless and Versatile Writing Aid, With Room for Integration Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antoin M. | Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like how Grammarly is available on all my devices like my iPad, phone, computer, and even my work computer. It's just helpful whenever I'm writing. The automatic spell check and grammar check are what I got it for originally, and now with the added AI feature, it helps me compose things I want to say but don't have the words for, which is even better. Setting it up was very easy across all my devices, from my Mac to my iPad, my iPhone, and even my Windows computer at work. I definitely like it, as it helps improve my speech and spelling when sending texts.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Oh, like I mentioned before, the Mac integration with Word, sometimes it's laggy or it doesn't connect. So you have to restart it and get it to boot up sometimes or switch from my computer to my phone.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for all my writing—texts, emails, and messages—because I'm a terrible speller. It's helpful for ensuring correct spelling and grammar. The AI assistant now helps me compose things I struggle to express, as I'm not a wordsmith.

 ### 35. Enhances Professional Writing Consistently

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like Grammarly because it helps with continuity, spell check, and grammar check. It helps keep the style the same across employees, so there's a consistent tone of voice for the whole company. It also helps with those little typos when sending things from my cell phone and just makes everything more professional. Really, it's the spell check that saves us. The initial setup was super easy and very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

When sharing bullet points or quick lists, I don't think they always need a period, but Grammarly always suggests ending with a period. Also, it would help if it could handle copying large amounts of data, especially from sources like Gemini or ChatGPT.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for work emails and proofing proposals. It helps with continuity, spell check, and grammar check, maintaining a consistent style across employees and catching typos, especially from my phone. It makes everything more professional and really saves us with spell checks.

 ### 36. A Tireless Second Pair of Eyes for Clear, Confident Writing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I find that what I value most about Grammarly is its ability to act as a tireless "second pair of eyes" that catches the mistakes I inevitably miss after staring at a draft for too long.

Why It’s My Go-To Tool
Real-Time Proofreading: I appreciate how it catches spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors instantly. It excels at identifying the small slips—like missing words or basic homonym errors—that my brain habitually glosses over during the editing process.

Seamless Integration: I love that it doesn't interrupt my workflow. By functioning as a browser extension and integrating directly into the platforms I use daily—like Google Docs and my email—it feels like a natural, invisible layer of my writing process.

Educational Value: I find the explanations behind its suggestions incredibly useful. Rather than just making a correction for me, it often provides context, which helps me sharpen my own writing skills over time.

Stylistic Customization: I rely on its ability to adapt to my intent. Whether I am drafting a formal professional communication or a more creative piece, I can adjust the settings for audience and tone to ensure my writing hits the right mark.

Clarity and Tone Detection: I particularly value how it goes beyond mere error-checking. It helps me improve the flow, conciseness, and tone of my work by flagging overused words or suggesting more active phrasing, which makes my writing much more engaging.

Robustness: I have found the free version to be remarkably effective, which makes it a highly accessible tool for everything from quick emails to more intensive professional writing.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

My biggest concern is that it often tries to push my writing into a generic, "standardized" professional mold. I find that its suggestions can occasionally strip away the unique voice or stylistic flair that I want to convey, especially when I’m writing something more creative or personality-driven.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintaining the right balance between being professional, empathetic, and authoritative—especially when shifting between a peer-review manuscript, a clinical note, or an email to a supervisee—is complex. Grammarly’s tone-detection tools help me ensure my intent matches my delivery.

I often find myself writing dense, complex sentences that could be streamlined. Grammarly flags redundant language and passive voice, helping me simplify my writing so that my key messages remain clear and impactful.

 ### 37. Confidence-Boosting Tool with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly at work and it has helped my writing immensely. I like that it has given me tips and improved my use of the English language. I have gained confidence in my writing and I'm more confident in my work overall. I'm on my second year using it, and it was important enough to me that I paid for it myself when the college wouldn't cover it. Grammarly takes my words and makes them better, polishing them up to make them professional. The initial setup was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The one thing I struggled with was when I had to insert the whole document, like the whole paragraph.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly at work, and it has improved my writing immensely. It gives me tips and significantly improves my use of the English language, making my writing more professional. This boosts my confidence and makes me confident in my work overall.

 ### 38. Effortless, Real-Time Writing Help That Keeps Communication Clear and Polished

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaleem A. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

The best thing about Grammarly is how it helps improve my day-to-day communication without interrupting my workflow. In my current role as Salesforce Business Analyst, I use it while writing emails, Jira tickets, and documentation, and it works in the background to catch small mistakes that I might otherwise miss.
It also helps with tone and clarity, which is especially useful when working with different teams. I don't have to spend extra time editing or copy-pasting the entire thing into ChatGPT, as it suggests improvements instantly.
In fact, while writing, it suggests commas and corrects punctuation in real time, which is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One thing I don't like about Grammarly is that sometimes it overcorrects or suggests changes that don't really match the context. I've noticed this especially when writing technical or product-related content, where the suggestions can feel a bit off.
Also, some useful suggestions are locked behind the premium version, which can be a bit limiting. The free version is good, but you don't get the full value unless you upgrade.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps solve a very simple but real problem for me, which is making sure my communication is clear and doesn't have small mistakes. In my daily work, I write a lot of emails, Jira tickets, and documentation, and it's easy to miss things when you are focused on the actual task.
With Grammarly running in the background, it catches those issues instantly also suggests better ways to phrase sentences. I don't have to go back and re-edit things again and again. I also don't have to copy and paste into tools like ChatGPT seperately, since Grammarly gives suggestions in real time while I'm writing.

 ### 39. Grammarly: Elevating Writing Precision and Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** basant d. | Cloud Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I really like Grammarly's ability to quickly identify grammar, spelling, and clarity issues while I write. It helps improve the overall quality and professionalism of my content in real time. The features I value most are the real-time grammar and spelling suggestions, tone detection, and clarity improvements. It quickly identifies and fixes mistakes while writing, saving a lot of time during editing and producing clearer, more polished content. The initial setup was very clean and easy, and I liked the UI and the functionalities at the top level.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes the suggestions change the meaning or tone of a sentence. For example, a sentence like 'could you please review this when you have time?' might be suggested as 'Please review this,' which is clearer but can sound more direct or less polite depending on the context.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to ensure academic integrity with its plagiarism checker and improve writing quality through real-time grammar, spelling, and clarity suggestions. It boosts the professionalism of my content and saves editing time, making clearer, polished documents.

 ### 40. Real-Time Suggestions That Make Writing Clearer, More Polished, and Professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leanne G. | Sales Operations Manager, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like most about Grammarly is how it provides real-time writing suggestions that improve clarity, tone, and overall professionalism. It’s easy to use across different platforms, whether in emails, documents, or web browsers, and helps catch grammar, spelling, and punctuation issues quickly. I also find the tone and clarity suggestions particularly useful for making communication more effective. Overall, it saves time, improves writing quality, and gives confidence that messages are clear and polished.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One drawback of Grammarly is that some of its suggestions can feel overly generic or not fully aligned with the intended tone, especially for more nuanced or context-specific writing. It can occasionally flag correct phrasing as an issue, which requires manual review rather than full reliance on the tool. Additionally, many of the more advanced features are locked behind the premium version, which can limit value on the free plan. Overall, it’s very useful, but still requires a level of human judgement to get the best results.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly solves the challenge of producing clear, accurate, and professional written communication by automatically checking grammar, spelling, punctuation, and tone. It helps catch mistakes that might otherwise be missed and provides suggestions to improve clarity and readability.

This is particularly beneficial for saving time on proofreading and ensuring consistency across emails, documents, and other communications. As a result, it improves overall writing quality, boosts confidence in communication, and helps ensure messages are clear and effective.

 ### 41. Enterprise-Wide Writing Consistency You Can Count On

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ppeters@optara.com P. | Sales and Marketing Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Consistency across all types of enterprise writing matters. We need to speak with a similar voice, so our writing becomes a living, breathing document that solves problems, resolves issues, and ultimately drives high client satisfaction. With that consistency in place, I don’t have to guess whether a presentation someone is giving mirrors the style and tone an executive would use to deliver the same message.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Browser extension functionality varies between Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and it will sometimes arbitrarily deactivate itself for no apparent reason. As a long-time user and early adopter, I’ve noticed when this happens and can usually fix it quickly.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improved the consistency of our voice and raised the overall standard of writing across the organization.

 ### 42. Enhances Writing Clarity and Confidence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul H. | Growth Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly to check my grammar, improve clarity, and ensure my emails and messages sound more professional before sending them. It catches mistakes, improves sentence flow, and saves me time on editing, which helps me write with more confidence. I like how easy it is to use and how it gives quick, helpful suggestions that make my writing clearer and more polished. I also appreciate the tone suggestions and real-time feedback. These features help me write more naturally and professionally without much effort. The tone suggestions ensure my message sounds the way I intend, whether professional or friendly, and the real-time feedback catches mistakes as I write, allowing me to spend less time editing and feel more confident before sending anything.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes the suggestions can be a bit too aggressive or miss the context, so I still review them instead of accepting everything automatically. I'd like Grammarly to better understand the context and intent behind what I'm writing, especially in longer emails. More accurate suggestions with fewer unnecessary changes would make it even better.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to check grammar, improve clarity, and make my writing more professional. It catches mistakes, enhances sentence flow, and saves editing time, boosting my confidence. The tone suggestions and real-time feedback ensure my messages sound intentional, reducing my effort.

 ### 43. Effortless Writing Aid, and easy to setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosario T. | Sr. People Ops & Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I love using Grammarly because it's easy to use and helps me correct mistakes very fast. The UX is nice, and I haven't had any technical or performance issues so far. It integrates nicely with most of my apps, like Google and Slack, which makes it even more convenient for me. I also found the initial setup to be super easy, which was a great start to using the tool.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I feel it's a pity to need to pay for so many different features. It would be nice to be able to define which things are important to be fixed sooner, since there's a limited amount of fixes per day. Maybe I want to prioritize grammar before vocabulary and rephrasing.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to ensure my writing is correct for essays, communications, policies, and emails by accurately checking phrasing and vocabulary.

 ### 44. Effortless, Clearer Writing Across Every Platform with Grammarly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like most about Grammarly is how it makes writing feel effortless, even when I’m working quickly. It doesn’t just fix grammar and spelling mistakes; it also suggests stronger word choices and more efficient sentence phrasing, so my writing sounds clearer and more professional. I find it especially helpful when I’m writing emails, LinkedIn posts, or client messages. Another thing I really appreciate is how seamlessly it works across different platforms, whether I’m in a browser, Google Docs, or even messaging apps. Overall, it feels like having a smart writing assistant that improves accuracy and clarity without making my content sound robotic.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One thing I’ve noticed is that Grammarly’s suggestions can sometimes feel a bit repetitive or overly strict, especially when a sentence is already correct but written in a more casual or personal tone. In those situations, it may recommend changes that slightly shift the original intent or soften my voice, even though the wording was fine to begin with. Overall, these are minor limitations, and they don't detract much from the tool's overall usefulness.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me avoid common mistakes while I’m working. When I’m busy, I don’t have much time to focus on spelling or grammar, so I use Grammarly to correct my sentences, make them sound more professional, and save a lot of time. Grammarly’s AI also helps me create documents, so instead of writing the whole documentation manually, I can use its AI to support the process.

 ### 45. Great for Improving Writing Flow, but the Pop-Up Icon Can Be a Nuisance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly, at least in theory, is of great help in improving the quality and flow of one's writing.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

While there are instances in which I appreciate the benefits of Grammarly, I don't use it for everything, and have found it strangely difficult to turn off when not in use. The little Grammarly icon, while fairly unobtrusive, tends to be something of a nuisance when it suddenly appears in the middle of a webpage without having been prompted to.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When my writing seriously needs polishing, I appreciate being able to rely on Grammarly to help me get the job done. It is generally more useful than relying on Spellcheck/Grammar check on Google Docs or Microsoft Word, and saves me time that I might otherwise need to spend looking up information about how to improve the quality of my writing, or asking someone else to look over it.

 ### 46. Reliable Writing Assistant That Keeps Getting Better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niraj Y. | Co-founder and CTO at Anatech Consultancy, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I haven't noticed any major changes since my last review, but the AI-related features seem more polished. I like how Grammarly now does a better job of identifying AI-generated text and providing suggestions to improve clarity and readability. The overall experience remains reliable and consistent across documents, emails, and web applications.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

While the experience remains solid, I'd like to see more accurate tone preservation when accepting suggestions. Some AI rewrites can still make content sound generic.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me keep my communication professional, polished, and error-free. It saves me time when I write proposals, emails, or reports by catching mistakes I might overlook. It also boosts my confidence that my tone suits the context, whether it's formal for business or casual for personal messages.

 ### 47. Elevates Content Quality with AI Detection. Only Complaint is Minor Formatting Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alanna H. | Founder and Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for editing, reviewing, and spell-checking website content. It really polishes my work and catches my mistakes. I appreciate that it catches a lot more errors than normal spell check. I've also been using the 'detect AI content' feature more frequently, which helps to ensure our content, which is part human-written, part AI-assisted, doesn't sound like AI and wouldn't get interpreted as possibly being AI-generated. The initial setup of Grammarly was very easy, and I mainly use it with Google Docs and Gmail.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes when you accept Grammarly's suggestions, it messes up formatting, like removing spaces from words. So oftentimes I have to go back and fix things that Grammarly messed up.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly polishes my content and catches my mistakes. It detects more errors than normal spell check and the 'detect AI content' feature ensures my SEO content doesn't sound like AI.

 ### 48. Empowers Writing Confidence, Slight Hiccups on Web

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert Ryan C. | Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I love that Grammarly makes me feel confident about what I'm writing. I enjoy using the suggestions to make what I write sound more like the tone I'm looking for. Having the ability to type in my thoughts and then select the tone is highly valuable to me. The initial setup of Grammarly was really easy. I found Grammarly through a web search several years ago and have recommended it to our company, friends, and family!

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It's sometimes a little slow to pick up on things in certain platforms. Sometimes I'll send an email with a typo because nothing appears incorrect, and the mistake is highlighted only when I reply to it later.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly ensures I write well-formed content with proper grammar, making me confident in my work. It helps me adjust tone for marketing messages, keeping them compelling and authentic.

 ### 49. A Lifesaver for Editing Papers and Emails with Grammarly Premium

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LaToya B. | Associate Director of Rec Programming, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

As a doctoral student and a professional, Grammarly is a lifesaver when I need to edit a paper or email I'm sending. Since I work at a university, we do get access to the premium account. I like that you can set your editing mode (e.g., default mode vs. novel mode).

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

If I had to pay for the features I have, the cost would be a barrier. But for now, the biggest downside is that sometimes it will pick up certain errors in one document, but not in the next.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly ensures that important emails or memos are grammatically correct. After so many of the same edits, I am beginning to be able to fix the errors before its edits my writing. All in all, it is improving my writing.

 ### 50. User-Friendly, Versatile Yet Needs Better Mobile Compatibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime P. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly practically in everything, for chat and all sorts of text. It's easy to work with and gives good advice. I like that it knows a lot about punctuation and works with multiple languages, which I think is the best improvement they've done in years. Setting it up is pretty straightforward and very easy. I use it with email apps, Office apps, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and some browsers, so it's almost everywhere.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Oh, definitely the keyboard on mobile devices, like tablets or phones. Yeah. It is not completely compatible with some features. So I would like to be more integrated with the operating system. Also, I would like to know exactly the security measures for the information gathered because it checks all typing

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for editing, proofreading, consistency, and ensuring proper language and wording in all my texts.
