What do you like best about Grafana Labs?

The standout strength is the flexibility to build fully custom dashboards. We can create clear operational views with color-coded thresholds and real-time refresh that feel very close to a true HMI panel. What do you dislike about Grafana Labs?

The learning curve for advanced configurations—such as complex queries and multi-condition alerting—can be steep for non-technical users. Also, some industry-specific plugins require a fair amount of manual setup and aren’t straightforward to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Grafana Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?

It provides centralized, real-time visibility into plant status, enabling faster anomaly detection through visual thresholds and alerts, while reducing dependency on proprietary SCADA software. It also improves collaboration because dashboards can be shared and accessed remotely by different teams. By pulling multiple sources (PLCs, historians, databases) into a single view, it helps eliminate data silos and gives operators a clearer picture of what’s happening. Visual alerting reduces operator response time to critical events. Overall, it can cut costs compared to traditional closed HMI/SCADA platforms, while still remaining scalable as the system grows.
