"GovSpend’s Daily Digest and Spend Data Help Us Win More SLED RFPs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I run public sector sales for a VAR in the Northeast. Most of our business is SLED, and before GovSpend we were finding bids the hard way. Somebody would stumble on an RFP on a county website, or a customer would mention it, or we'd hear about it after it closed. Now the daily digest hits the inbox every morning and my account managers forward the ones that fit. We've picked up municipal RFPs in NY and MA that we never would have seen otherwise. That's the whole reason we bought it and it does that job well. The spend data is the other piece I use a lot. Being able to look at what an agency actually bought, from who, and what they paid, changes how we walk into a meeting. Same with seeing who the incumbent is before we decide whether to chase something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

The digest is noisy until you put real time into the keywords and filters. The first few weeks we were getting a lot of stuff that had nothing to do with us. That's on us more than them, but it takes some tuning. The other thing, and this is more of a wish list item, is I want programmatic access. I asked support about MCP access on our subscription and I'm still waiting to hear from the account manager. The data is good enough that I want to get it into our own tools instead of just reading it in a browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
