The robust features, user-friendly interface, and strong security measures make it a valuable asset for organizations seeking a comprehensive archiving solution.

While the service is robust, the pricing structure may be a bit on the higher side for smaller businesses or organizations with budget constraints.

Although the interface is user-friendly, there might be a learning curve for administrators who are new to the system. More comprehensive training materials could be beneficial.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | Chief Information Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Google Vault?**

Google Vault makes archiving Gmail easy and managable. We use it to reliably archive all our email, chat and Google Drive. As a Google Workspace administistrator it easily integrates with our environment.

**What do you dislike about Google Vault?**

Google Vault is an excellent archive but not a great search tool. It lacks some very basic features and functionality like deduplication. It is also challenging to export individual chat conversations and some documents.

**What problems is Google Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an inexpensive tool with no restrictions on size or space of storage. We have benefitted from being able to reliably store emails for an indefinite period of time.

  ### 10. Google Vault is a Critical Must-Have For Your Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lourdes M. | Digital Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Google Vault?**

As a Google Admin, I've used Google Vault on many occasions. If your business (or an individual) needs to quickly find strings of emails based on a set of criteria - for example, searching for all emails sent to a specific person from a particular email address, etc. - or in case of any mediation or litigation issues, learning how to use Google Vault and ensuring that you can easily access it if ever needed is critical for the health of your organization. If you haven't upgraded your Google Workspace account to include this feature - make sure to double-check if you can access Vault, and if it is an upgrade (i.e. from a basic to a business account) feature, I would HIGHLY recommend adding it.

**What do you dislike about Google Vault?**

In addition to all of the several forms of data the Vault .zip files download, a full PDF download of the conversations and attachments would be helpful. I have to then use a paid third party service as a Chrome Extension to compress the documents into a easily read PDF file. This one improvement would be phenomenal.
It is easy to use when you know what parameters to set - this would be my one observation. If I haven't used Google Vault in a few months and I come back to it, I typically have to search a support document or chat with a Workplace tech to make sure the string I want to search is entered correctly. Otherwise - this is a very simple and easy-to-use tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Google Vault:**

If this is your first time using Google Vault and you're not extremely savvy on Google Workplace, I highly recommend logging into your admin account and contact via phone call a Google Workspace support representative who will guide you through the entire process and can even create a virtual Hangout to help you on your end.

**What problems is Google Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the pandemic, my clients have had a number of reasons to use Vault - asset protection, internal cybersecurity processes, and during legal mediation or civil litigation cases involving subpoenaed documents.
