**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

The best thing about GTM is that it allows us to minimise the help of developers by giving us the feature of integrating pixel codes of different marketing platforms like Meta & Adroll through their custom HTML Tag option.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

Many features are unfamiliar to me as a user, and there is no proper guide or lecture available to study or go through. Every time we want to implement something new or face an issue, we have to contact the Google Support team, which is a time-consuming process. There should be an AI chat agent available that can help us with our problems then and there.

**What problems is Google Tag Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us with the integration of multiple platforms to the website with a very simple UI. It becomes very easy to analyze the performance across multiple platforms.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

What I like best about Google Tag Manager is how easy it makes it to manage and update tracking without needing to change the website code every time. I can quickly add or adjust tags, track conversions, and test everything in one place.
It saves a lot of time and gives me more control over tracking, which helps me make better decisions based on accurate data.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

Sometimes it's not so easy to set up on the goals with google ads.

**What problems is Google Tag Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the problem of having to rely on developers every time I need to add or update tracking on a website. Instead of changing code, I can manage tags, pixels, and events in one place quickly and safely.
This benefits me because it saves time, reduces errors, and lets me track important actions like conversions more efficiently. It also helps me respond faster and optimize campaigns based on real data.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

The flexibility and autonomy it gives to marketing teams. We can make real-time changes, validate pixel and event implementations, and iterate quickly, which has a direct impact on campaign performance. We can have all the integrations of the Google ecosystem (such as Google Ads and GA4), which is also very positive.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

The initial learning curve is a bit slow and complex when it comes to more advanced implementations. If the structure is not well defined from the start, the container can quickly become disorganized and difficult to control.

It is a fundamental platform in our daily performance marketing. We use it to manage all the tracking of our platforms (Google Ads, Meta, GA4, etc.), allowing us to implement and adjust tags quickly without relying on development teams.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

What I like best about Google Tag Manager is the flexibility and speed it gives to marketing teams. We can deploy and manage tracking codes, conversion events, and third-party pixels without relying heavily on developers for every small update.

The preview and debug mode is especially helpful because it allows us to test tags before publishing, which reduces tracking errors significantly. It also integrates smoothly with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and many other tools, making campaign tracking much more efficient and centralized.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

One thing I dislike about Google Tag Manager is that the interface can become difficult to manage when there are too many tags, triggers, and variables without proper naming conventions or structure.

There’s also a noticeable learning curve for advanced event tracking and custom JavaScript implementations. Debugging complex setups can sometimes be time-consuming, especially when multiple tools and integrations are involved. While it’s powerful, maintaining a clean and scalable container requires consistent governance and technical understanding.

**What problems is Google Tag Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google Tag Manager helps us solve the problem of slow and dependent tracking implementation. Earlier, every marketing pixel, conversion event, or analytics update required developer involvement, which delayed campaign launches and tracking changes.

With GTM, we can quickly deploy and manage tags across websites without directly modifying the codebase every time. This has significantly improved our campaign tracking accuracy, reduced turnaround time, and helped the marketing team move faster with optimization and reporting.

It also benefits us by keeping all tracking centralized in one place, making it easier to manage analytics, remarketing, and conversion tracking across multiple platforms and landing pages.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

I find Google Tag Manager to be a very good tool for analyzing our website's performance and tracking specific tags. It has a very good integration system for our WordPress website, allowing me to easily copy and paste codes into our sites. I appreciate that Google offers their SiteKit plugin, which also has easy setups. Google Tag Manager is free to use, which makes it highly attractive compared to enterprise tag managers. It has a very strong ecosystem and makes it easy to set up basic tracking and centralized tag management. I particularly like the no code tag deployment feature.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

Setting up Google Tag Manager can be challenging for beginners due to its complex GUI and numerous features. It requires me to sometimes rely on YouTube tutorials to understand the process better.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

The absolute best part about this tool is that it is completely free and provides enterprise-level power without any monthly cost. The performance is excellent because the tags fire asynchronously which means they do not slow down the page loading speed for our users. It has made the process of adding third party tools to our website obsolete because we can handle everything through the dashboard instead of manual code changes. We can deploy new tracking pixels or marketing scripts in minutes and the independence it gives us from constant developer help is a massive benefit for our daily operations.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

While it is very powerful the initial setup and learning curve can be quite steep for someone who is not technical. The interface is a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many options for tags and triggers and it is easy to get lost in the menus if you do not know exactly what you are looking for. It would also be helpful if there were even more built-in templates for smaller niche tools so we did not have to rely on custom HTML tags as much. Managing a large number of tags can also become messy if you do not stay on top of your version control and naming conventions.

**What problems is Google Tag Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of having to constantly edit our website source code just to add a simple tracking script or a new conversion goal. This benefits our business by making us much more agile since our marketing team can test new tools and track results without waiting for a development cycle. It keeps our main code clean and organized while ensuring that all our data across different platforms is consistent and accurate. Having one central place to manage every third party integration has saved us countless hours of technical troubleshooting.

The main weakness is that it can quickly become a mess if not properly structured: tag names that are too vague, duplicate triggers, a logic that is difficult to follow... Hence the need to establish good account hygiene, shared by all users.

**What do you like best about Google Tag Manager?**

Google Tag Manager serves as a gateway to various tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and more. I find the initial setup very simple and easy to get started with. Google Tag Manager offers flexibility and user-friendly management of all tags without needing developers or waiting on code deploys. The broader ecosystem is incredible, with a large community eager to help, and the 'template gallery' is a great resource for finding new tag templates. Many high-quality tags are contributed by the community and can be found on platforms like GitHub. The open-source nature of these templates allows me to adjust them to my needs. I've been using it for over ten years, and I truly value the continuous support form the community.

**What do you dislike about Google Tag Manager?**

Consent Management is complex. Debugging why GA4 events weren't pushed (or have incomplete data) can be very painful. Consent Management is also forced on to you by Google (probably through EU GDPR). There's a lot of information to be found, but it's scattered and not all accurate anymore because the platform can change. It would be helpful if Google flagged consent better in tags and explained which data is omitted and why from the debugger.

**What problems is Google Tag Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Google Tag Manager for flexibility and user-friendly tag management, eliminating the need for developers and code deployments. The community and template gallery enhance its usefulness with open-source templates that can be customized.
