It’s a fairly simple piece of software with basic functionality. It does what it’s supposed to do, which is nice. I also like that it removes the headache of having to look for separate 2FA methods for my passwords, since it’s integrated into Google’s services and it’s free. On top of that, they’ve added cloud storage, which is a nice extra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main issues, in my opinion, are that anyone who has your phone also has access to your codes, and that if your Google account gets compromised, it makes the authenticator essentially pointless. Another thing I find really annoying is that I always need to have my phone with me, and that’s simply not the case for me very often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
