He asked us all the questions that we needed in order to make a firm decision. What we like most is the ease of use with the software and how simple it is to find an answer or solution. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** We have not found anything to dislike yet, but we have only used the software for a short time, so we may have to check back about that once we are using all the tools within the software. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saving time. We were in the trenches with our former software (Blackbaud Grantmaking). It is so hard to use that we spend literally weeks if not months, annually trying to navigate the software. We also have found some tools within GoodGrants that will save us these weeks of time, in the rollout of our grants. ### 2. We can have lots of reviewers and compare their results using the leaderboard. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** I find the interface really confusing. I think setting up grant and reviewing rounds could be drastically simplified. The price, especially for charities like ours, is really high too. Perhaps the pricing structure could reflect use. For example, we do one grant round a year. We receive around 300 applications and award 80 grants. This all takes place over a 3 month period. The other 9 months of the year, the programme goes unused for us. We would like all of the features of the highest plan, but we don't use it enough to justify that. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to good grants we used survey monkey to run our grants round and reviewing round. It supports defensible assessment by keeping criteria, scoring and reviewer comments together. It makes grant rounds easier to track because you can see status, progress and outstanding actions. It helps with consistency across applicants, especially where eligibility, compliance or assessment criteria matter. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** Rigid — good for structure, but sometimes annoying when you just want to quickly handle an exception or unusual application. Clunky for edge cases — unusual grant rounds, custom assessment processes, or one-off changes may not fit neatly. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collecting applications consistently Everyone applies through the same structured form, so information is easier to compare. Tracking where everything is up to It helps you see which applications are submitted, incomplete, under review, approved, rejected or still needing action. I really appreciate the video responses as I’m a visual learner and that method is so much better than written support. It is an evolving product: they seek out customer feedback to improve their product. And can incorporate that feedback into functionality on the platform. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** To be honest I don't believe there are any downsides when compared to our previous grant application and review process. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before implementing Good Grants in our organisation eligible applications were processed manually which involved printing it out, recording it in a massive spreadsheet and emailing every application to the reviewers on our committee. The software allows me to save my work at any point, return to it, and complete tasks efficiently, which saves me time compared to the longer process it usually takes. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** When reviewing grants, it could be easier to see the total scores that you have given. I often struggle navigating the menus to find the screen that shows the total scores. We haven't tried the AI / Intelligence features however it has great automated features across different areas which work great. Also, I don’t find it easy to change a deliverable’s date. When I click to update the date and select a new one, it doesn’t accept it. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows my organization, along with three others in different countries, to receive grant applications, score them, select them, and manage everything remotely, all gathered in the same space.
