**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Easy set up. Great reporting. Updates about service problems in real time. Ability to cancel an automatic payment between the time it's billed and the time the payment is made (eg. if one of my coworkers cancels their subscription late).

Nothing so far! It's all automatic, with some flexibility.

GoCardless has allowed us to create effortless payments for our subscription services. It integrates into Xero for us is great and we can receive payments from all over the world.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

I don't dislike anything about the platform.

**What problems is GoCardless solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients find it simple to use, fill in payment details and that's it. For us being able to collect payments in a simple way allows us to focus on our business.

Setting up the withdrawals is very easy and tracking on the dashboard is very user-friendly. I recommend it!

I am having trouble obtaining the details of the payments made for my accountant, and I don't know if it's possible to issue invoices each time a payment is made (particularly for subscriptions).

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Go Cardless allows me to collect payments from my customers via Direct Debit. This feature alone saved me a lot of hassle, where I used to ask my customers for their card details to process payments. Many of them were not happy to do that over the phone. Also the cost of using Go Cardless is much less than card processing vendors.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

The least helpful is that I have to wait 1 day to receive my payments, which is still better than 3 days for card processing merchants. I see no downsides.

Reduced cost, and being much more professional.

It has a really simple interface that is easy for me to use and for my customers to use to sign up!

Nothing! Everything is great and I don't have any suggestions to make it better.

I used to have to spend hours and hours to chase up unpaid monthly bills from the same customers again and again. With GoCardless, they fill in a simple online form and I get certainty about when I will be paid.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

GoCardless has freed us from the paper processing of direct debits and has allowed us to promote direct debit as the preferred payment method for monthly donations.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

It is not possible to export information including the bank holding the account, which complicates identifying the cause of certain payment interruptions. The search function is very precise, which does not make it easy to search for names with accents, for example. It also does not allow searching for subscriptions by reference. Finally, many clients are created in duplicate due to the lack of a duplicate detection tool.

**What problems is GoCardless solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Highlighting the direct debit has allowed us to reduce the rate of monthly donation interruptions. With the IBAN provided on our donation page, the payment solution is completely invisible to donors, making the act of donating simpler. The GoCardless API allows us to automate part of the recording of interruptions, which enables us to devote more time to our actions and less to fundraising.

Once my customers have signed up to GoCardless I see my customer retentions go up as they are showing commitment to my products.

Integrate it with Quickbooks. It takes 4 to 6 days for funds debited to customers to reach my bank account.

Avoiding high Paypal charges and save time with payments that have to be deferred with holidays etc.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

What I have found is that it has helped manage payments for pay monthly clients. We have cut down the time of chasing payments and love that it notifies us when someone has cancelled their direct debit. It has created a more seamless process which has cut admin time down.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

There is not much we dislike as a business. When we first started using it, we didn't like the fee part but built that into our monthly retainer costs so that it was covered.

**Recommendations to others considering GoCardless:**

This is a great way to be in control of monthly or project based payments. If you don't want to be chasing people/ companies and they are happy to have a direct debt set up, I would highly recommend investing. It has saved us time and money and been so easy to use.

We have solved payment issues and created a sleeker process when working with businesses and brands who don't have 7, 14, 21 or 30 day invoice terms. If we are working on a project that is a set amount of time or months, we know when payments are due and let's us be in control. Helped us look more professional and on the ball.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Weekly email stating every client and how much they have paid me, no need to troll through the customer list to find out. The ease of setting up new payment plans and adding your client list to them. The super low fee's mean more money stays in my pocket.

That I didn't find it sooner! Go Cardless removes all money hassles from your life.

Anyone in the fitness industry should use Go Cardless. There is no more worrying about money being collected, no more cash, no more excuses. By using Go Cardless you become professional, organised, properly paid and become stress free to spend your time on other areas of your business.

When a client doesn't have enough money in their account, Go Cardless re-try three times at no cost to you. This is amazing! Now when I get an alert, I don't have to follow up as I know Go Cardless have got my back.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Simple process for both the business to take payments and for Customers to sign-up. The process is really simple. The set and forget recurring payments is really good but this is available in other payment software. The best thing with Gocardless is it allows direct debit from bank accounts which is a superior method in terms of ongoing administration of customer's payment details for direct debit. The fees are also very reasonable compared to Stripe and Paypal credit card gateway providers.  Gocardless has made it as dispute-proof as much as they can for businesses in terms of possibilities of disputes with payment.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

It takes 3 business days to clear the bank. The risk lies in the 3 business days where the payments could fail and services has been provided.  In Australia, there's no bankfeed to Quickbooks Online.  Available for Xero at the moment but Xero's customer service is frustrating to say the least whereas Quickbooks has customer support over the phone with screenshare.  So currently have to import manually the transactions to Quickbooks which is a bit of a manual process.

Highly Recommended and definitely worth the wait for the setup due to stringent proof of legal documents for the entity.

Recurring payments is made much easier.   There's a lot less work with chasing after customers for payment. It's been great for Cashflow Management .

We use Gocardless and QuickBooks integration. We can send signups and create payment requests from within our accounts package. QuickBooks them marks the invoice as paid when the money arrives in the bank.

I don't like the wait between customer sign up and being able to Bill, but that maybe more to do with the direct debit system than with gocardless

The ability to create payment plans and redirect to a thank you webpage for each plan, the peace of mind in collection, and minimal fees.

I would have liked the tool to generate an invoice per plan per client. It's easily possible because Gocardless has all the data to be able to do it. Surely a possible development. To be continued then.

I love everything! GoCardless is connected with my billing CRM so I don't need to enter the direct debits, they are done with a simple click on Evoliz. I have gained peace of mind with cash flow because 99.99% of the debits are executed without payment failure.

The only marginal improvement that could be made, is a mass selection option to send reminders to join gocardless.
At the moment you need to enter each customer specifically and click it. A very marginal problem.

If using Xero, I see no reason why you shouldn't sign up!

Collection of payment from customers is easier. We also incentivise customers to use GoCardless to help reduce our admin costs in the future and chasing debt

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

I like the ability of having multiple subscriptions for different online services I sell, and being able to customise the recurrence settings as well as the payment dates.
Another cool feature I really like is being able to monitor pending transactions, my current list of costumers, as well as a history of payouts and refunds.
Also, a useful feature I like is that the payouts can go directly into my bank account instead of staying in GoCardless and having to withdraw the money manually as was with PayPal, the previous payment system I used for my business needs, before moving to GoCardless.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

I wish the dashboard/admin area UI would be a bit tidier and more intuitive overall. I need to go through all the settings and options before finding what I need, sometimes.
I don't like that the current payout pending time is 2 days and I have to wait that long until the actual payment hits my bank account.
I also dislike not being able to edit or update plans/subscriptions prices. The only options seems to be to transfer the customer to a different (new) plan, which is quite annoying.

Because of GoCardless I am able to run an online business as a freelancer and charge my clients on a monthly basis for things such as monthly website maintenance, and other similar packages I sell to my clients as a web developer.

I choose GoCardless for payments because of its integration with the Xero accounting software. Switching payment providers was painless. Adding online payments to new and existing customer entries in Xero is simple. If you are an existing Xero customer, you should definitely try GoCardless.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

GoCardless meets my needs in a payment provider. In using for the last four months, I haven't noticed anything that I dislike.

I use GoCardless to give my clients the ability to pay by ACH. My clients are paying me faster. For clients that are using ACH, I no longer have to deal with hassles of paper checks such as the check getting lost in the mail.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Simplicity of setting up a DD for a customer to pay a regular or one off invoice. The process is very easy and in less than a minute you can have sent the request for your customer to set up the DD. All they need to enter is their name, company name and bank details and that is it. Once the  DD is set up you get an email confirming this and you can then request the payment. Once payment is made you receive a summary of who has paid you in an email. The system is very flexible and can be used for one off invoices, regular invoices or subscription payments. Once you have set up a regular payment you can easily see the payment dates for this in the customer folder.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

The dashboard could be slightly simpler to use

Payment of invoices to customers are paid automatically without further involvement form either ourselves or by the customer

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

The best thing about the GoCardless platform is that all the hard work is done for you.All the links after setting up the payment plans are handled by them with the customer banks.

Makes setting up Direct Debits so much easier.

Plus the menu system is really easy to understand and its really quick to set up monthly payment plans.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

Nothing. I can't find any fault at all in it. It's perfect for my business.

Simplest and easiest solution for small businesses looking for monthly or regular payment solutions in an automated format. It's easy to use and makes signing up new customers so much easier.

Also helps with customer retention and promotion because of it's easy setup from a customer perspective.

And it's not expensive at all.

The most important thing about GoCardless is that it has automated my services with my customers. fewer client dropoffs and payment on time because of the automated nature of Direct Debit has huge benefits over monthly invoicing.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

As I started a new venture away from farming into storage i wanted a system that saves me time and easily accessible on the move, the system works for me in such a way that I do not have to make my way to the office if I notice a problem, I can deal with it easily on my mobile. The system is extremely user friendly and links beautifully with the accounting software Xero. This linking of online systems saves time and money, and the reconciliation is done at the click of a button. With a glance I can see who is set up and if any changes occur I am informed instantly. I highly recommend GoCardless as the online  payment system for small business like my own. My customers also like that they are not handing over there account details and the system can be set up from a button on the invoice. All in all I highly recommend GoCardless.

I cant think of a single thinking that I dislike about GoCarless, I suppose the fee's are slightly higher than I would like, but I think I would say this about any system.

I highly recommend using GoCardless, if you want ease of management, simple systems, and easy to understand online platforms GoCardless is the system to use.

I am using GoCarless to take direct debit payments from tenant of a self storage facility, the major benefit that i have taken from using the software is not having to hold any account details and being able to arrange every payment automatically, this is both easier for me as a small business and for my clients.

GoCardless has a cost - as does everything in life. It would be good if that cost reduced more and more as our transaction numbers increase over time.

Most of our customers / clients have a large annual bill for the services we provide. GoCardless enables us to split that large cost into manageable monthly chunks. It helps our cash flow and, more importantly, the cash flow of our customers / clients.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

Gocardless Seamlessly Integrates With Xero , this connection literally nullifies my debt chasing from invoice to payment my sales process is totally unmanned, I can also collect payments at will. Their Customer Support is also very responsive, this company is continuing to innovate the payment collection space, We only use Gocardless as a payment provider for the above reasons and the price, as Gocardless do not charge a subscription fee only a low capped percentage of transaction value. The best part of the integration with Xero is that all payments auto allocate to the respected invoice with all funds showing from the date of collection in a Direct Debit Account.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

The Least helpful is the payment time it sometimes takes 4-5 days for the money to hit our account after the payment has cleared, this is an issue with all Direct Debit providers not just Gocardless. There is no bank feed for the Gocardless account within our Xero account thus meaning that all payments have to be manually imported for reconciliation if these issues were addressed Gocardless would be a perfect system.

Try it out there are no subscription fees only a flat rate capped % on payments, it is the best software for Direct Debits and payment processing

**What problems is GoCardless solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems solved are mainly, Cashflow and Debt chasing or missed payments previously there was a communication issue with missed payments, now we are notified in advance when a payment is cancelled, This enables Olympus Accountancy Ltd to have uptodate financial projections and know exactly when bills will be paid and money will be available.

**What do you like best about GoCardless?**

The best thing about GoCardless is that the fees are so much lower than my other merchant accounts. If you use Xero, the integration with GoCardless saves so much time and is highly recommended if you do recurring billing. When we get a new retainer client, I create a recurring invoice in Xero. I then email my client with a secure link so they can give me ACH authorization. After that, every time I create an invoice for the client in Xero, GoCardless takes the payment automatically on the invoice due date. (The Xero recurring invoices get sent automatically, too.) Bank reconciliation is so fast because everything is connected.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

Nothing! I really enjoy using it and genuinely like everything about it.

I highly recommend you try it.

Get your money next day. Easy to manage DD runs. Fast onboarding for customer = better collection. Easy to use. Good Reporting and ability to manage. Good value service in comparison to other competitors. We like the Ease of onboarding to customers that has a direct impact on the tack p and effectiveness of our collection service. Good customer service at GoCardless who were happy to help at the beginning.

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

I genuinely don't have any complaints about Go Cardless. I would like to see the ability to increase on mass a Plan's pricing so that it can be raised easily across a number of customers.

**What problems is GoCardless solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replacing Standing Orders. Ability to additionally collect Ad Hoc amounts is very useful, on top of regular collections. Reduce bank fees. Good set of APIs to fit into our back office systems that do not require a lot of effort.

I like the fact that I can offer my customers the option of using a Direct Debit from their bank account, especially in the case of subscription purposes, rather than using a credit card.

So far, there is nothing I dislike about GoCardless, although the processing times seem to be a bit lengthy. I guess that's understandable though, given we a re dealing with transfers from bank accounts.

Being able to offer people multiple payment solutions, especially when they might not like using their credit or debit cards to make online purchases, is a major benefit to my business. **What do you like best about GoCardless?**

One of the challenges of business is making things scalable. If taking twice as many customers takes twice as much work then there is an upper bound on your profit.
If you can automate processes, e.g. through the use of direct debiting, you can take on extra customers with minimal extra work. By adopting GoCardless I have been able to significantly increase my customer base without a significant increase in work and without those awkward credit control calls. Happy customers and happy me!

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

There are very few, if any down sides. The fees are reasonable (compared to other money obtaining platforms), it integrates with my accounting package to automatically charge the client the correct amount based on my invoices. Help! I just love it!

**What problems is GoCardless solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem is accurate invoicing followed up by accurate, timely charging of customers. This used to take about a day a month, sometimes more. Now it just happens with the occasional bit of checking so see how well it is going. (Normally, excellently.)

GoCardless is very simple to use for a business and for a consumer and there are multiple ways to get a client set up. 

I also like that you can set up a schedule for the client to fit in when they get paid.

The only thing that could be improved is the download of payment transactions. When I have to do my accounts it would be better if it was simply date, transaction amount, fees and a reference.

I would say when considering GoCardless you need to decide if you adopt it as a policy for all or its an optional thing for customers, id say its better and less administration to adopt it as a policy for all. Its a bit hard initially reconciling payments as it needs to account for GoCardless fee's but in the end the benefits outway the costs.

So easy, just key in customers email address, a space for free text from us, just so the end customer knows the email they receive isn't random, then when set up how much you want to take each month and everything else is done for you. Great telephone customer support.

Genuinely no issues so far, all gone to plan.

Very easy to use for monthly payments, say a 3 year agreement, set it up to run for 36 periods and never need to look at it again. Cheaper then taking credit cards for us.

Easy handling of monthly billing. Can also add other ad hoc charges to the payment plan, which is useful.

The free version doesn't give my customers my id, when we get big enough to pay for the upgrade then we will, which allows us to be visible to our customers on statements

The simplicity of the product is fantastic. It's not overly complicated, it does just what you need. The customer service is amazing and they always get back to you so fast. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I also love supporting smaller businesses rather than just going for the obvious Paypal option (which charge a shed load more for really bad un-personal  service)

**What do you dislike about GoCardless?**

The fact that you can't make single payments. (I know you can, but the terminology and fact you have to set up a 'direct debit' is a bit of a faff for people wanting to make a simple card payment.

I love that I can integrate into my website so simply without the need for a load of extra third party costs.

Recent price increase makes direct debit similar cost as credit card payment.  Previously direct debit was a cheaper option.
