  ### 9. Strong insights on company cultures

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

It gives you a 'behind the curtain' preview of many companies, particularly in terms of how management interacts with employees, the general corporate culture, salaries and benefits.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

People tend to take to Glassdoor to voice their opinions when those opinions are negative - meaning that it gives a bit of an unfair disadvantage to some companies. While its good to read honest reviews, they can often be from scorned present or former employees who have more incentive to share their thoughts than current workers.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool helps our company to promote the things we're proud of in our workplace, advertise job openings, and garner additional brand awareness in the markets that we're expanding to, as Glassdoor is so globally recognised and often among the higher search results when candidates will Google a particular company.

  ### 10. An utter disappointment - not a community

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandru C. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Not much to say here - I have no pleasant experiences with glassdoor.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Intransparent community guidelines, disregarding actual reviews and a total joke on factual verification. I could actually practice bragging on various occasions (for some companies) and those reviews go up in seconds - try placing a review that's 2 stars or less and that one gets buried under any fictional management reviews. It is a cheap option to enhance employers' branding, even for toxic companies - they'll gladly take your money and make you shine.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None whatsoever -

I'm not sure how regularly Glassdoor company pages are updated, but one thing to keep in mind is they aren't always updated frequently, sometimes the information you can find about a company is from years ago and doesn't share the same details.

Glassdoor doesn't take into consideration false reviews from previous employees, so if you have a falsified or negative review it can be hard to get taken down.

As a recruiter, I use Glassdoor to deep dive into companies. To get a glimpse of the company from beyond the people and leaders we're working with, but rather from the employees, previous workers, and clients.

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

It is one of the best platforms for job searching and gathering information about the culture, ethics, policies, and other stats of any organization. Also, it helps in getting the key information about the management, average salary for each profile, and interview process too. It gives various highlights and details about the vacancies and recruitment going on in various organizations. It is an outstanding platform for both jobseekers and employers.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

The job offering and region baed service is not so good and offers the profiles from other countries instead of the nearby regions. Also, the mobile interface of this platform lags whenever we try to log in. It slows down during the operations. It needs to get a lite version of the application with some good interface.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best thing I have experienced about Glassdoor is that it sends me regular updates about the ongoing job vacancies in my nearby area with email notification. I haven't thought of anything I dislike yet

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 33. Glassdoor platform is unique in searching desired candidates!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelo A. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

The screening of the candidates is much quicker.
The job posting tools are simple to use and apply.
The resumes from different job seekers are organized chronologically.
Glassdoor search criteria are straightforward and quick.
The app notifications give you updates of new resumes in your inbox.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Glassdoor needs to add an advice section for the candidates for quick tips.

**Recommendations to others considering Glassdoor:**

Nothing at the moment.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Glassdoor is not used for resolving any business problems.

  ### 34. REVIEW Glassdoor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

What impresses me is the Market Intelligence factor. Within a few clicks, I can get a line of sight of a company's position. It is quick and easy to navigate and obtain valuable info like roles advertised and salary scale. There is some UI UX wizardry here as I have not navigated a site this easily in a long time.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

I dislike all the other sites that are not as greased in the UX UI department as Glassdoor.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering information & making decisions

  ### 35. Glass door: your insight to the corporate world’s salary

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Humaira S. | Freelance Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

It helps me look for jobs and give me a salary range of other employees to negotiate well and not be underpaid.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Nothing as such. It should have premium packages like LinkedIn for employees and employers both.

**Recommendations to others considering Glassdoor:**

It is an excellent platform with a user friendly search engine that notifies you about all the relevant jobs in your field.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me get a salary bracket for the job I applied and I was able to talk about my salary expectations without being discriminated on the basis of my race, ethnicity or colour.

  ### 36. Job Search Must Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Glassdoor is easy to access and navigate. It provides insight to companies I've accepted positions at or considered positions at. Reading real reviews and insights during an interview process can better help me prepare and ask questions regarding a potential job opportunity.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Sometimes the salary information does not match up, it has been falsely entered. There is no way to verify its correct unless speaking directly with the hiring/ financial source at the company.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gaining an understanding for workplace culture prior to accepting a position. It's great to know how other people have viewed the workplace while they were working there.

  ### 37. Horrible for candidates

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

not much. I have nothing positive to say about Glassdoor.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

This site lets anyone say anything without checking for the credibility of the source. How is it possible that anyone can slander a company publicly and not require proof? I recommend LinkedIn above glassdoor any day as you can see a much better review of the organization.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried to use it for finding candidates online, promoting jobs etc.

  ### 38. Awesome platform for reviews and searching of companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

1. Great collection of company reviews from verified employees enhancing trust in the reviews
2. Great interview resources from experiences of people who interviewed, albeit there cannot be any authentication there, and users are bound by NDA
3. Large collection of a data set of almost any company in which you might be interested.
4. Best research tool to select companies for applying
5. Integrations to directly apply for jobs along with job search alerts

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

1. Cannot verify the authenticity of interview experiences as it is challenging to have any form of authentication because users won't prefer signing up with work email addresses
2. Job alerts are sometimes not beneficial for your background as the companies might not be best suited to your qualifications and desires.
3. An excellent swift quick apply feature would have been beneficial like the one available in LinkedIn and Indeed.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Glassdoor is an excellent source for many interview experiences and company information like work culture, compensation, growth, and employee quality.
It helps filter the companies you want to apply for and the ones from which you want to stay away.
Also beneficial for companies to collect data about themselves and utilize it to improve the hiring and interview process, take points to improve work culture and growth.
They are ultimately using data to increase employee retention and attract top employee quality.

  ### 39. Glassdoor feeback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aakash M. | Associate Solution Advisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Open and candid feedback and results on this. Anyone can get help from glassdoor when looking for a job. It gives report card of the companies.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Its good. Sometime reviews seems weird but overall good.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Searching salaries and company's feedback before joining a company.

  ### 40. Very easy to find available jobs, employee reviews are helpful!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Marketing Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

One thing that is important to me when searching for a job, is how the former employees enjoy it. I love that there is an option to read reviews from people who have held positions at the company previously and currently, I really do put the reviews under consideration when seeking jobs.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

One thing that is not my favorite about Glassdoor is that I feel like not all companies stay on top of their pages. If a role is filled, there is the possibility that they left it on there. Or also the situation where a company is just on there for future use, but doesn't state that they're currently not hiring.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Glass door has made it very easy to see how employees have liked companies, and the pros and cons. I have realized that employees that were fired will leave nasty reviews, but those ones you just have to look past.

  ### 41. Best app for viewing jobs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Salary slabs are available in the jobs .

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Nothing to dislike so far I have seen .

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing various jobs.

  ### 42. Glassdoor website usage review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

It's the first place where you can get real -time experience from the company's employee or ex-employees. We get real experiences and most of the time, it is in sync with what we actually hear from people.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

The procedure of verifying the posted information is not very tight. It may happen that the given information is not correct or paid. So, the Information reliability is a factor here.

**Recommendations to others considering Glassdoor:**

It's a good site, provided people should also do a little bit of proof reading on the company's work culture themselves as well to be assured.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting information about different companies and their workplace environment. Before starting or applying for a job, we can seek information relevant to the workplace and work life balance from this site.

  ### 43. Great resource for prospective companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Glassdoor is a great resource to find how the company runs from within the company. It's not a selling tool and it isn't filled with buzz words to make themselves feel better. I love how each employee or even prospective employee can put in their two cents and say how they feel about the company. Even people who are being interviewed can rate how that process went. Everything is anonymous which makes it even more useful so people aren't judged on their coworkers opinions.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

There isn't much that I don't like. Most of the time, the company doesn't update their info so it makes Glassdoor useless. This isn't Glassdoor's fault but the company being featured. This should just show you not to stay employed at a company that doesn't care what people think about them.

**Recommendations to others considering Glassdoor:**

Glassdoor has a great account management team. They will always remind you about updating features, images, etc.. to improve your page. They are on your side and want you to succeed and how to even get more reviews.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working at a company with a great reputation, i want to make sure it is reflected correctly on Glassdoor. Encouraging employees to write their own review also helps the company gauge their own network.

  ### 44. Glassdoor, I miss you. Why did you change??

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine N. | Vice President, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

I'm writing this review as a former employer account user.

I USED to like the service from the sales/CSM team members. They were extremely helpful, informative. Helped us with a great package for employer branding, and sponsored ads. Worked with us monthly to focus our targeted ads, met quarterly with business reviews. Added our sponsored ads to outbound blogs, resulting in outstanding candidate marketing results. #2 source for 2019 candidates.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Where do I start?

2020 and covid impacted many platform companies. I completely understand that. Was sad to see some of our assigned reps reassigned or laid off, but that happens in bad economies.

What I HATE is the change as they merged with Indeed. In August of 2020 we were told our remaining sponsored ad funds (prepaid) were being transferred to an Indeed Sponsored Jobs model. This didn't actually happen for over 90 days, and when it finally did was based on me needing to be extremely upset and drive the process to get answers. Never got anything in writing about what exactly what our remaining funds were that were being transferred, and apparently it took over 90 days because "larger enterprise companies were first in line" for this service. Translated as " We don't know how much we owe you in ad spend, we don't know where it is,and you're not important to us" *Shoulder Shrug".

Once we did finally get our funds added to an Indeed account we did not get any qualified candidates, our add spend was somehow "set up wrong" resulting in close to $10k spent very quickly (with no results). We were told later that we'd been given too much money in our account, by accident, because they confused our company name with another one. Oh, and jobs that didn't belong to our company were tied to our account.

Our rep tried hard to help, but it was clear he really had little or no ability to influence and get issues resolved. I finally tried to close our account, but guess what, you CAN'T? So the personal credit card I'd been required to add to the account, even though I was promised it would NEVER be charged, was charged twice. Incorrectly. It took me going up the chain of command to get it credited, removed from the account, and the account closed.

I tried to connect with someone at Glassdoor today to get our Employer Enhance Profile set up, and was told I need to work with the same person from Indeed that wasn't able to help me.

Seriously?

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it was the former model of Glassdoor, it was very effective as an Employer Branding tool, as well as driving high quality candidates to our job site.

  ### 45. Very helpful in often exposing positive/negative sentiment trends at a company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

I like that this is based on user feedback, some of it is anonymized, ease of using platform

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

I can't think of anything that I don't like.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly, I use this when job searching to become more familiar with a company's culture.

  ### 46. Glassdoor Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron B. | Communications Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

That it's has a proven track record as a job/career site platform that works and is generally well functioning, although I mostly know it as a transparency site for job postings (inside info on companies, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Probably some of its functionalities, outside of those for transparency, are a little unwieldy

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily finding out information on companies in job search

  ### 47. Best way to learn about potential employer, still way to go to find a job there

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amar G. | Head Of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

Glassdoor is one of the best ways for jobseekers to find insights about their potential employer.
This includes- Interview questions/process, Salaries, Benefits and reviews about work-culture.

However, beyond a specific employer- I find the best feature to be "Salary insights". It helps one find out what he/she is worth, and take this insight on the negotiating table for the best offer. One also learns about worth of various job profiles and locations - and thus enables an informed career switch.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

Foremostly- anonymity. Anonymous reviews give opportunity for anyone to rant about any company they dislike. These reviews are not verified. Thus, glassdoor becomes host to negative reviews, and someone coming to their website looking to find cons, will easily find one.

Secondly, their job section is incomplete and hardly is of any use to anyone outside of the US. They should add more jobs.

Also, they could add "people working at" section which maps Linkedin profile of people working at a particular company. It will make it easier for others to contact existing employees for a deeper, more personal insight.

**Recommendations to others considering Glassdoor:**

If you're researching about a prospective employer, give it a human touch by contacting someone who works at the company you're looking for on Linkedin.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am looking to bridge the information gap when it comes to salaries in a particular company and also to be better prepared about prospective employers.

  ### 48. Glassdoor User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

I love the prompts that Glassdoor has to really make you consider the review you are leaving for a company.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

I dislike that the feedback gets posted regardless of if it is truthful or not.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Glassdoor allows our company to get honest and open feedback from current and former employees in an anonymous way which allows them to be more candid.

  ### 49. The Interviewees Friend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

If you really want an honest view of a company's culture, you check Glassdoor.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

It can be a sounding board for naysayers. It's rare for someone to post something positive without being provoked.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We respond to all posts, positive and negative, to show that we are actively listening to our employees. It a great way to view feedback. Almost everyone we interview views Glassdoor first. We need to stay ahead of the comments.

  ### 50. Glassdoor, a website left out there, with users, but no administrators

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farid H. | Project Manager, Account Manager

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Glassdoor?**

The way that anyone can post any false information about your company, violating all their rules and policies and no one on Glassdoor is willing to do something about it, even if you flag.
And the way you send them an email and they don't and answer.
And how there is no contact phone number available.

**What do you dislike about Glassdoor?**

I would dislike their staffing, but I'm not too sure that they have any.

**What problems is Glassdoor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None
