Simplicity. Setup for our GitHub and Jira backups took very little time, and after that it runs on its own โ scheduled jobs, no babysitting. Everything sits in one console and reports to my email daily, so I can see the status of both stacks in one place.
Coverage is the other thing that sold us. It isn't just repositories โ it pulls the metadata that actually matters when you have to rebuild: issues, pull requests, comments, labels, milestones, branch protection rules, Actions, releases, and LFS on the GitHub side, and projects, issues, attachments, boards, and configurations on the Jira side. Granular restore is a real differentiator; being able to recover a single deleted issue or repo without a full restore.
From a compliance standpoint, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, encryption at rest, SSO, audit logging, choice of data residency, and unlimited retention made the vendor assessment easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of options but a simple configuration doesn't leave much to dislike. Very straightforward service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
