What do you like best about Geoplugin?

The best thing for us is its fast IP lookup response. When global readers come to our portal, it instantly detects the country without slowing down the site speed. As a result, specific content categories created for their region can be displayed on the first page load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Geoplugin?

The layout of their user dashboard and documentation is quite old-fashioned. Although the API service is always up and running and there is no downtime, it would be easier for non-technical team members like us to track if the interface was a bit more modern or had a chart view. What problems is Geoplugin solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously, visitors had to manually select their country's sub-folder or language, which was increasing the bounce rate. After GeoPlugin came, it recognises the reader's country at the gateway and automatically takes them to the correct regional feed.
