What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

As a graduate student working on flood modeling, I like GeoHECRAS because it makes hydraulic modeling more efficient and practical. Its integration of GIS data, terrain information, and HEC-RAS modeling tools helps streamline the workflow and makes it easier to set up and analyze flood scenarios. I also appreciate its user-friendly interface and visualization capabilities, which are very helpful for research and understanding flood behavior under different conditions. What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?

Overall, I had a positive experience with GeoHECRAS. Some modeling tasks can still require extra time to adjust terrain data, check model inputs, and troubleshoot results. Improving the flexibility of these workflows and providing more guidance for new users would make the software even better, especially for students and researchers working on complex flood modeling projects. What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

GeoHECRAS helps solve the challenges of setting up and running hydraulic models for flood analysis. As a graduate student working on flood modeling, I use it to combine terrain data, GIS information, and hydraulic modeling workflows to evaluate flood scenarios. It saves time during model preparation, improves visualization of flood behavior, and helps me compare different modeling conditions more efficiently.
