What I like most is how well Gemini fits into the Google Workspace tools I already use every day. I work in business development and operations, so a lot of my day is reading long tender documents, contracts and email threads. Being able to open Gemini right inside Gmail, Docs or Drive and ask it to summarise a 60-page RFP, pull out the key dates and requirements, or draft a first reply saves me a good chunk of time. It's quick, the answers are usually well structured, and it handles long documents better than I expected. I also use it for brainstorming proposal sections and rewording things so they sound more professional. It's not perfect, but as a daily assistant for reading, summarising and drafting, it has become part of my routine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main thing I still have to watch is accuracy. Sometimes Gemini states things very confidently that turn out to be slightly off, especially with numbers, dates or details buried deep in a long document, so I always double-check anything that goes to a client. It can also lose the thread in longer conversations and I end up repeating context. Responses can be a bit generic or overly cautious at times, and I usually need to edit the tone so it sounds like me rather than an AI. The difference in features between the Workspace version, the standalone app and the different plans is also a little confusing, and it's not always clear which one I'm using or what it can access.
