What do you like best about Gartner?

What I like best about Gartner is the depth and credibility of its research. When I’m looking for high-level insights or trying to evaluate vendors, their reports—especially the Magic Quadrant—make it easier to see the competitive landscape quickly. It’s not just surface-level info; it’s well-researched, structured, and trusted by decision-makers. It really helps when I need to back up a recommendation or present options to leadership. What do you dislike about Gartner?

The biggest downside for me is how expensive and limited access can be. Unless your company has a subscription, it’s hard to get the full value from their reports. Also, some of the content feels more tailored to large enterprises, so if you’re at a smaller company or startup, it might not always feel directly relevant. What problems is Gartner solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gartner helps solve the problem of information overload when researching tech solutions. Instead of sifting through random blogs or sales-heavy vendor sites, I can rely on Gartner to give me structured, unbiased analysis from trusted experts. For me, it makes it easier to compare vendors, spot trends, and make decisions with confidence—especially when presenting options to management or stakeholders.
