"Fourwaves: An Intuitive One-Stop Shop for Conference Management"

What do you like best about Fourwaves?

Fourwaves provided a one-stop shop for all our conference needs. It offered a website to advertise the conference, manage abstract submissions and Scientific Committee reviews, handle conference registrations and refunds, and build and host the conference program. Overall, it was intuitive to use and felt user-friendly for conference attendees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

It takes a wee bit of time to set up the conference webpage and make sure all the information is aligned, especially when it comes to dates and times. At times, it can also be a bit confusing to organize abstracts by type and review status, but with a bit of support, it was easy enough to figure out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fourwaves solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using Fourwaves reduced the administrative burden of communicating with attendees and abstract submitters. It also made it easier to collect registration fees and to build a participant list and name tags. In addition, it greatly streamlined the scientific review process by allowing reviewers to apply a rubric when grading abstracts, which helped with conference program decisions. Lastly, we saved trees by offering an online program, and we’re looking forward to having an app next time to improve accessibility to conference information for attendees.
