**What do you like best about Flodesk?**

My favourite thing about Flodesk is its beautiful email templates, which make designing emails feel quick and effortless. It’s also one of the more affordable options for small businesses, and the platform itself is very easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Flodesk?**

Flodesk currently doesn’t have an A/B split-testing feature for email subject lines, but once they add it, the platform will feel flawless :) I reached out by email about this a while ago, and they responded promptly to say they’re in the process of rolling it out, which would be amazing.

**What problems is Flodesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can design beautiful, striking emails in no time at all, while easily incorporating my small business brand kit — fonts, colours, and overall style — for a personalised look and feel my customers have come to expect.

I also love that I can integrate newsletter sign-up forms and pop-ups on my WooCommerce/Wordpress  website to gather new email leads. I use the same sign-up links across my social media channels via Linktree as well, which makes growing my audience feel seamless and connected.

**What do you like best about Flodesk?**

Two years ago, when the email platform my gallery had used for many years announced it was shutting down, I immediately began searching for a replacement that would be both user-friendly and capable of handling the specific needs of our twice-monthly newsletters. As the owner of a fine art photography gallery, consistency, design quality, and ease of use are essential in our communications. During that search, I discovered Flodesk and decided to give it a try.
From the beginning, I was impressed by the intuitive interface and the wide range of visually appealing templates and formatting options. The design flexibility allowed us to create newsletters that reflect the aesthetic standards of our gallery without requiring technical expertise. The transition was also remarkably smooth—importing and organizing our entire contact database was straightforward and efficient.
The platform was quickly adopted by our entire team at Susan Spiritus Gallery, and it has since become an essential part of our marketing and client communication workflow (susanspiritusgallery.com). It has allowed us to maintain a consistent publishing schedule while elevating the visual presentation of our newsletters.
Equally important, Flodesk’s customer support has been excellent. Any time I’ve had a question, the response has been prompt, clear, and genuinely helpful. I have not encountered any issue that was not resolved efficiently.

I don't dislike anything. I wish they were integrated with Jotforms, but I am sure they are working on it.

Flodesk isn't just a great software; it's a great company to partner with. The UI/UX are incredibly intuitive and aesthetic (my emails look perfectly on brand, all the time), and the actual performance of the software is also fantastic. 

I love that Flodesk is always adding new integrations (especially with popular tools like Canva + Thrivecart), and their pricing model is SO reasonable. One of the reasons they won me over forever was by giving such a long lead time on price changes in 2025, really inviting their community to be part of the excitement, and keeping the messaging clear.

Their team and support are also incredible - I can name their specific team members off the top of my head, because they're so involved in the community and conversations on socials. I regularly use Flodesk (multiple times per week) and recommend it to all of my copywriting clients!

**What do you dislike about Flodesk?**

I do think that certain aspects could be explained more clearly or frequently, like how use of custom layouts & fonts should be limited for accessibility purposes.

Flodesk makes it easy to build a list that I OWN (not like social media, which I rent), and keep in touch with them in a way they're *excited* to engage with.

It's so simple, user-friendly & intuitive! As soon as I tried Flodesk out the first time, I felt like I knew how to use it. It was so simple! And not just that -- I absolutely LOVE the look and feel of it. It's aesthetically pleasing (both the backend and the emails themselves), the customer service has always been top notch, and features that often feel complicated on other platforms don't feel that way on Flodesk.

There's not much I don't like... But I'd say I wish there was more third-party integrations. I don't like relying on Zapier so much. And I feel like if you want to do deep analytics, like A/B testing, Flodesk may lack a little bit here. But I do feel like they're catching up there!

For me, I needed an email marketing platform that was simple and straightforward. Flodesk is just that! I didn't want to take so much time learning how to use an email marketing platform that I wouldn't utilize all their features anyways. Flodesk makes everything easier for me! Personally, my favorite things about Flodesk are how user-friendly it is, while still being highly intuitive and conversion-focused. I also really appreciate that the team is constantly evolving and shipping new features and products that make the platform even better for us users.

I honestly have very little to complain about, because it has been reliable, easy to use, and consistently helpful for my business.

Before I started using Flodesk, I had never been able to gain subscribers, sell products, or keep them engaged. Most of the other tools I tried were either too complex, too cumbersome, too expensive, or simply not an all-in-one solution. With Flodesk, the pricing, tutorial videos, and the email marketing and forms features have helped me deliver my freebies seamlessly. It’s taken me from 200 subscribers to over 3000, and I’ve made some money as well using their digital product and checkout features.

As a brand designer, aesthetics matter to me more than most. And Flodesk is honestly the most beautiful email platform I've come across. Setting up workflows, designing emails, building out sequences - none of it ever feels overly technical or complicated. It just works, and it looks good doing it.

I also love that it integrates with Canva too, making it super easy for me to design templates for my clients. It is seamless!

If you're looking for a platform that helps you stay consistent with email marketing without the overwhelm - and one that actually matches your brand - Flodesk is worth trying.

They have recently increased their pricing to match industry standards, but I think it is for good reason and still incredibly worth it for the price.

In the past, it was really hard for me to stay consistent with email marketing because writing emails just takes forever. And when you’re using a platform that’s difficult to navigate and makes designing emails feel complicated, it becomes even harder to keep up. Flodesk solves all of that for me. It’s beautiful and super user-friendly, and the templates make it easy for me to simply write my email and have it ready to hit send.

’ve been using Flodesk since 2019, and it’s one of the few tools I’ve stuck with because it actually makes my life easier.

What I love most is how simple everything feels. I can sit down, write an email, add a few photos, and it already looks clean and on brand. I don’t have to fight with it or spend forever fixing formatting.

It’s really helped me stay consistent too. I set up my welcome emails in one afternoon, and they’ve just been running in the background ever since. And the checkout feature has been such a nice addition. Being able to sell products and services right from my emails makes everything feel more streamlined.

I keep recommending it because it takes something that used to feel like a chore and makes it easy to keep up with.

I would love to be able to create product-specific abandoned cart workflows rather than one all-encompassing workflow.

**What do you like best about Flodesk?**

Everything being in one place, my emails and newsletters, my sign up forms and checkouts…Beautifully simple templates and elements to add — aesthetically my favourite system for my business ;-) And the incredibly helpful support team always more than willing to assist and stay with you until the issue is cleared up.

**What do you dislike about Flodesk?**

The checkout templates have limited options—right now, you can only set up one price per checkout. In my business, I offer tiered pricing scales, so this restriction makes it harder to present the different pricing levels the way I need.

**What problems is Flodesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There was a technical glitch that caused some of my customers to receive error messages when clicking links in my emails. The issue also affected me, even though the links were correctly pasted and were accessible to many people. It took some time to resolve because it wasn’t a straightforward problem to identify or fix, but Flodesk stayed in touch daily for a week while they investigated and ultimately got it sorted.

I also asked for guidance on the best way to set up a sales page and checkout for my membership, since there currently isn’t a feature to offer tiered pricing on a product. That enquiry was handled with care and answered within 24 hours. Finally, I needed my payment date moved, and although they could have simply given me instructions to do it myself, Flodesk took care of it and supported me until it was completed. They did this without interfering with my systems and, in my opinion, went above and beyond to help.

I first like that it is a woman owned business and I like the clean look and easy to customize templates, with a variety of fonts that even looks similar to my own handwriting.  I am also impressed with their friendly service. My account was briefly suspended due to a change in my banking, any other cooperation would have me re-join at their current plans rate.  At Flodesk they value their loyal customers and they re-instated my account at the founders rate! How wonderful!

There is a lot that I love but I would love more templates geared towards the artisan selling wares online versus the ones geared more towards coaching or digital content I also dislike that I currently can’t make any quick edits on my mobile phone.

Flodesk made email marketing more fun and visually appealing to me and clearly my audience loves it.  I have a small but mighty email list with a statistically high open rate and decent click thru rate resulting often in a sale

So easy to use for absolute beginners, but has customisation for advanced designers and business.
My conversions - delivery, opens, clicks, sales are always excellent.

Nothing - love it all! This is one of my most used business tools; so it needs to work. And it does!

My emails are aligned with business and brand feel, without constant need to update or edit things. This makes it easy to get the writing done, to land in boxes (which Flodesk does well!), and to get engagement from my audience.

Their dedication to small business shows in the features they offer, but also the help and guidance that's available - this has given me email marketing insights I'd normally never have.

**What do you like best about Flodesk?**

The team are really helpful and great at crowdsourcing ideas of how to better their platform. I have been using Flodesk since early 2021 and love seeing what new features we're getting. I use the platform almost every day for email marketing for my small business, and have sent over 1 million emails using the platform! Over those emails my deliverability has never fallen below 99.6%. I love that we can now integrate directly with more platforms as I use Thrivecart for a lot of my online checkouts. The email platform is one of the easiest to use.

I'm a data nerd so I would love more analytics, or the ability to use more data points via the API to build my own in-business apps for email marketing.

Flodesk is hands down the easiest email marketing tool I've ever used, and I've tried a lot of them! It has really robust functionality and capabilities their competitors just don't have. From the ability to add videos, to opt-out workflow forms, they have what I need to build really powerful, impactful emails. The design layouts are the most beautiful, clean and well designed ones out there. I have a really high email retention and open rate thanks to Flodesk. They also have excellent customer service, they are friendly, knowledgeable and responsive.

I wish it was a bit cheaper, but it's worth the money, you get what you pay for, and with Flodesk, you get a lot!

Flodesk makes email marketing feel simple and doable. The design side is easy to use, and the emails look polished without a lot of effort. I can create workflows quickly and stay consistent without getting stuck in tech. The pricing model is straightforward, which makes planning easier as my list grows. Customer service has also been excellent, with fast, helpful responses whenever I have a question or hit a snag.

There are limitations on the automation and segmentation side compared to more advanced platforms. As your strategy gets more complex, you may find yourself working around the system instead of with it. Reporting is also fairly basic, so if you rely on deeper data to guide decisions, you will need additional tools.

Flodesk solves the problem of overcomplicated email marketing tools. I don’t have to spend hours figuring out systems or troubleshooting tech. I can create, schedule, and automate emails quickly, which keeps my marketing consistent without draining my time.

It also removes the friction around design. I can produce emails that look professional and on-brand without needing a designer. That helps me show up consistently and maintain a strong brand presence.

I really like the design quality of Flodesk. It lets me create gorgeous, on-brand emails that truly reflect my identity with my fonts, colours, and identity in mind. While many treat branding as an afterthought, Flodesk builds everything around it. Beyond aesthetics, I appreciate the combination of simplicity and capability. The automation, segmentation, and workflow tools are generally very powerful, yet the platform is intuitive enough for my clients to grasp independently after just a one-hour training session. I also love that Flodesk is built with small businesses in mind, and you can feel that consideration in every design decision they've made.

**What do you dislike about Flodesk?**

The native integrations are still growing. There are a few tools I regularly use where I use Zapier rather than connecting directly. It works but a more native integration library would make the workflow even smoother than it already is. I'd also love to see AB testing for campaigns as a standalone feature.

The first time we tried it, we were genuinely and pleasantly surprised by how smooth and intuitive the drag-and-drop builder felt. Recently they launched a integration with Canva which saves us hours per week. The support is a plus, whenever you have a question the reply is speedy and efficient.

I’ve used Flodesk since the very beginning and it is the only email software I recommend! The ease of use, the layout, the back end workflows and functions… and now the checkout feature have made it to where I have all of my business running through this one platform!

I launched my very first digital product last month and promoted it to a brand new IG audience of less than 200… I’ve had 30 sales so far!! The checkout function has been soooooo smooth and simple and I’ve been able to tweak and change things as needed.

Their university section has made every single question I’ve had solvable in minutes, and the new integrations they keep adding make running my business seamless. I mean, hellllo Manychat! I didn’t even realize I needed that integration!

Not much actually. One thing I'd like is the option to be able to have a template with your own brand elements and structures saved so you can just click on it and use it, instead of having to duplicate a past email (maybe there is this feature and haven't found it? not sure). Flodesk has been the most user-friendly experience for us. Our emails look beautiful, and the whole system has been incredibly easy to learn and use. We also use their checkouts, and they convert more than 3x our other checkouts (SamCart, Thrivecart). The checkout pages are visually simple while still looking gorgeous. On top of that, the checkouts take 1/10th of the time to set up compared to the other platforms we’re on. The analytics are incredibly useful, too. Overall, everything is easy to navigate, and it’s simple to pull the data we need. 10 out of 10 recommend Flodesk for emails, and especially if you’re selling digital products with checkouts.

Right now, it doesn’t natively integrate with our ads tracking system (Hyros) which means that we don't use Flodesk for ads traffic to checkouts (only organic traffic to checkouts & all emails). That said, we’re hopeful Hyros will eventually add Flodesk.

I've used Flodesk for almost 6 years now.  It was not the first email marketing tool I tried, but it's been the best for me and I don't anticipate changing again.  Flodesk is easy to implement and use, and so I actually use it.  Hence it's been easy to actually grow my list. There was no steep learning curve to master, I was able to start sending effective emails right away.

It has become increasingly full featured over the time that I've been a user. First with the introduction of the e-commerce functionality which allows me to sell directly from email without setting up an additional platform (super easy to set up and start selling!).  And now many of the automations I use regularly are integrated with Flodesk without the need of using a third party app.  This again makes it easier to use and also makes the user experience more seamless for both myself and my community who read my emails.

I send different newsletters to different segments of my list (did I mention there's audience segmentation?) at different times so I send emails several times per month. This keeps my audience engaged with what I have to offer, without bombarding them with emails they don't want or need.

Most importantly for me - however - as a professional makeup artist is Flodesk is visually based and I can send *beautiful * emails that allow me to express my creativity as an artist, and that fully represent my brand as a creative entrepreneur.

Personally I'm not experiencing any difficulties with Flodesk as my list isn't super large.  I would like to see A/B testing added at some point down the line.

I'm sure there's some features missing that the giant brands offer, but after more than 5 years of using Flodesk, for my two businesses and multiple clients, I've never found it lacking in anything that I actually use or need.
The transparency of their roadmap, and openness to suggestions for new features, is a good place to look if you're curious about anything.

Flodesk is so easy to use that I don't have to spend ages creating forms, automations or twice-weekly newsletters. Flodesk makes managing an email list for my business incredibly easy.  The platform is very user-friendly and easy to use. I love that I can quickly manage my emails, subscriber lead generation, and automations in one place. So many email service providers feel unnecessarily complicated, but not Flodesk. The Flodesk platform is intuitive and feels like a natural extension of my business. I use Flodesk weekly, if not more often, to communicate with subscribers and market my business. 

In this day and age, email is a must for any business. This feels supportive and empowering at a price point that my small business can afford. And. . . that doesn't mean I have to use the lowest plan or sacrifice quality. Plus, the Flodesk team is always adding new features to make the platform even more amazing than it already is.

I'm so happy that I found Flodesk and made the switch!

As a solo entrepreneur, it is very important that I work efficiently. There are a couple of features that Flodesk does not yet offer that would help me save time and improve my email marketing. I highly recommend Flodesk to anyone getting started with email marketing because the initial setup is streamlined and the whole platform is robust without being overwhelming. Their recent addition of seamless integration with Canva was a feature I didn't even know I wanted, and I love it! I send email newsletters weekly and I create new forms for online events monthly.

I love the creativity that it allows me and that I can send emails which are customised to my brand, my identity and my business - they standout beyond the black text on white background. I like that I can upload my personal fonts in line with my brand (but would like to be able to use this font wherever text boxes are available), which is not currently the case. The templates are really helpful and building out the workflows, payment pages and automations are very intuitive and logical to build and edit from scratch. It has made building my email newsletter list fun.

I would like to be able to customise the layout of templates a lot more - especially with images and their placement or resize - there is still quite a bit of rigidity in terms of what is available. Also I often find that the alignment shown on the phone view 'preview' is very different to what I can actually see on my mobile phone when I open the email on there. I would also like to not see any lines or gaps between the colour segments, when I have added individual elements to an email.

I am a relatively new business owner, trying to build my email list and Flodesk has really helped to do the heavy lifting in terms of formatting and streamlining the process. 
I also like that it has integrations like TryInteract and Stripe so I have been able to consolidate a lot of my business into one space and not have multiple outlets for all of the data. The segments are really helpful for this, but even elements like the payment page are really great too. 

In an ideal world, I would LOVE to be able to create a work flow with URL links or built in/ customisable forms that allow me to onboard a client, get them to process the payment and close out the process with an automatic feedback form after the 12 week programme. Even if there were options to send personalised emails with weekly notes/ prompts after the session too.

I like the selection of graphics that Flodesk offers, as it's user-friendly and works well for our small team. The graphics are valuable because we're not constantly having to purchase them from other sources; it's an all-inclusive feature. **What do you like best about Flodesk?**

I really like using Flodesk because it's a simple drag and drop as far as designing emails, allowing you to make them as simple or as beautiful as you want. I appreciate that it's aesthetically pleasing and priced really well, which is great for creating anything from a simple weekly email newsletter to launch emails. Flodesk's ease of use is a big plus for me, especially since you can customize it to match your branding. It also has the capability to do a checkout system for digital products straight from your email. The analytics are easy to understand, helping to see who opened the email and allowing recipients to self-segment. It's great to see a product that is usually very technical and making it easy for anyone to send marketing emails. Additionally, setting up Flodesk is really easy with step-by-step instructions, even if you're not super techie. It's designed to grow with your business and gives you all the tools to start creating an email list. That makes me confident in its ability to connect with my customer base.

**What do you dislike about Flodesk?**

Flodesk could probably have a more robust tagging system as well as being able to create more conditional automations based on the tags of a user in the system. I think it's getting closer, but it's not quite as robust as some other email marketing programs. I also wish the analytics were a little more detailed, or that you could drill down deeper.

I have grown my small (yet mighty) email list as a local brand photographer to 900 strong. I use Flodesk to easily create beautiful emails with its simple drag-and-drop feature. As a creative, faith-based poet and photographer the layouts are just incredible and it’s actually really fun to use! I couldn’t recommend it any higher and everything is so intuitive and people tell me all the time my newsletter is just “beautiful.”

What I like best about Flodesk is how easy it makes it to actually use email marketing consistently. The platform is incredibly intuitive and design-forward, so I can create beautiful, on-brand emails quickly without getting stuck in tech or formatting.

It strikes a really good balance between simplicity and functionality — the workflows, forms, and segmentation are straightforward but effective, which makes it easy to build systems that I (and my clients) will actually maintain. That usability is what sets it apart.

What I dislike about Flodesk is that it can feel a bit limited when you need more advanced functionality. The automation and segmentation are great for most use cases, but they’re not as robust as some higher-level platforms if you’re trying to build very complex funnels or deeply customized customer journeys.

I also wish the analytics were a bit more detailed, especially when it comes to tracking performance over time or tying email efforts more directly to conversions. That said, for most small businesses, the simplicity is actually a benefit — it just depends on how advanced you need your systems to be.

Flodesk solves the biggest problem I see with email marketing: inconsistency due to overwhelm. Most platforms feel overly technical or time-consuming, which leads to people not using them at all.

For me, and for my clients, Flodesk removes that barrier. It makes it easy to create beautiful, on-brand emails quickly, set up simple workflows, and actually maintain a consistent presence in people’s inboxes. That consistency has been the biggest benefit — it allows us to stay connected to our audience, nurture relationships, and drive engagement without it feeling like a heavy lift.

It’s also been a huge win from a client perspective. When I hand off a Flodesk setup, clients actually continue using it, which isn’t always the case with more complex platforms. That alone makes it incredibly valuable.

I love that Flodesk is so user-friendly and really easy to use, even if you aren't into tech. They're always adding new features and integrations, like connecting to platforms such as Canva and Squarespace or adding advanced workflow options. I can tell the Flodesk team truly cares about their community, and they're always listening to see which features would support small business owners best. Flodesk's native integrations have completely eliminated the need for me to use a third-party automation tool to connect other platforms to my email list. The initial setup was very intuitive, and importing my old email list and setting everything up was a quick process.

I love some of the native Flodesk layout blocks, but they're not super customizable in terms of sizing and spacing. However, this isn't a huge issue now that Canva is a direct integration.

With Flodesk, I can create checkouts that automatically add clients to workflows for events and groups, which means I don't have to manage adding individual emails for updates and event details. I love the intuitive and seamless newsletter and checkout pages formatting. It's very easy to use while also having an aesthetic beauty that represents my business, which I love. My favourite aspect of Flodesk is the aesthetics .  I LOVE putting beautiful photos in my newsletters and still having them look very professional.  I also love how intuitive it is to use and how easy the workflows are to setup.  Any time I have had things that come up that required support they were easy to get in touch with and were able to help resolve my issue quickly.

My biggest challenges using Flodesk was around the checkout.  It did not work well in regards to me charging in US funds and going to a CDN domicile bank.

I find Flodesk to be my go-to tool for staying in touch with customers and prospects. The web interface is so easy to use and fun to work with, making it super streamlined and simple. I love that it's easy to work with and the onboarding process is really simple and straightforward. Flodesk offers a bunch of great webinars and support. The community and support team are seriously the best in the business, offering optional fun and friendly getting started webinars every few weeks. I appreciate the ownership of my contacts and being able to ensure everyone sees the emails I intend to send, without being restricted by traditional social media platforms.

I appreciate the wealth of resources available, like FAQs and webinars, and when those aren't enough, it's great to have a real human to answer questions. The initial setup was easier than most, which made transitioning to Flodesk smooth.

I am still figuring a lot of things out as a new business but I appreciate that there are FAQs and webinars and lots of resources available. I would love if it had a course hub for running my course out of or didn't need Stripe, but those are not really realistic wants.

I love how intuitive and easy to use Flodesk is. I love that I can just go in and create an email and customize all the settings quickly, and it's really easy to explore. Even as a first-time user, somebody could jump into Flodesk and find it really easy to use. I've built a service offering around setting up clients' Flodesk accounts for them, and the handoff to my client is made much easier because of Flodesk's simplicity! (I don't have to explain the platform in a ton of detail because of its intuitiveness.) One of the aspects I love the most is the ability to add subscribers to a specific segment when they click a button or a link in an email, which makes organizing my list really easy. I also love Flodesk Checkouts! It makes creating a landing page very simple, and it hooks up perfectly with my Stripe account, so that makes a lot of the backend stuff really easy.

I would love for Flodesk to implement AB testing. Right now, they don't offer AB testing, but I would love to have that feature and experiment with it specifically in workflows.

I love everything about Flodesk to be honest, especially using the automations and how simple it looks when you log in. The dashboard is so intuitive, which is super important for me as a brand and web designer. I really appreciate how Flodesk makes it simple to keep everything branded for myself and my clients without having to design elsewhere. The automations save me time and make it easy to have workflows, like having steps when somebody subscribes, and really connect with my audience. Setting up Flodesk when you first log in is one of my favorite things about it; it's so easy and has all the tools you need without being overwhelming.
