Flippity has over 20 templates for use with Google Sheets to make interactive, engaging classroom activities such as a quiz based on a popular TV game show, flash cards, a random name picker, time lines, click and drag activities and many more. The templates are easy to use, with each one including a demo of how the activity works and detailed instructions for setup along with a simple copy button to make it your own. The user simply replaces the content of the spreadsheet with their own content, publishes to the web, and then uses the link provided by Flippity to access the activity. It truly is easy and a fun way to engage students without the need for any programming knowledge. I've been using Flippity for years, and they continue to add content. They have recently added a tab on their page called "Skip the Spreadsheet" for those who do not want to use Google Sheets and want to generate a quick activity. It works well, but I'll explain what I dislike about it below. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Flippity for G Suite? The "Skip the Spreadsheet" page would be great if you are in a hurry, but there is no way to save your activity for re-use. I am sure I'd be that person to have it all set up and ready to go, then accidentally close the browser and lose everything. At one time, Flippity had a Chrome Extension that made it super simple to access their website and your own templates from the browser. It stopped working some time ago, and was never replaced. A recent search showed that it isn't even in the Chrome Web Store anymore. I do miss that feature and would love to see them bring it back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Flippity for G Suite: Go in, play around, make some activities, and give it a try. It's free, and you can't really go wrong. Take time to read the instructions carefully, as this is the main reason anyone who I have worked with may have difficulty setting it up. What problems is Flippity for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you? Teachers are always on the hunt for ways to engage students, especially for review of content prior to assessment. There are templates all over the web for that "popular TV game show" I mentioned above, but Flippity is by far the easiest to use, to edit, to add or remove teams, and so on. It even includes simple sound effects for when a team scores. I train faculty at a community college, and they find Flippity easy to use with their students as well, which encourages them to use it. I have worked for two decades with teachers who said they "don't have time" to set up many of the elaborate activities offered by publishers and on the web. They love Flippity!
