## Fivetran Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient Data Integration with Cost Concerns

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I use Fivetran mainly for managing data ingestion from SaaS systems into our warehouses like Snowflake. The system's main value is its speed and reliability, which allows me to avoid spending engineering time on building and maintaining custom connectors for systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and Intercom. This leads to a stable pipeline with much less overhead, enabling my data team to focus more on modeling, analytics, and business use cases rather than debugging jobs and failures. The initial setup of Fivetran was very easy, fast, and intuitive, with a user-friendly UI and dashboard that allows understanding of consumption and the choice to sync specific tables. Fivetran is intuitive, flexible, and easy to use, which makes me very satisfied with the tool.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

I think the biggest issue is the cost. It's kinda convenient, but it can get very expensive as usage scales. If you have many connectors or high data volume, it's great for speed but not always the most cost-efficient option for the long term. There are also some losses of flexibility compared to building the data pipeline on your own.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fivetran to manage data ingestion from SaaS systems into Snowflake. It provides speed and reliability, reducing time spent on building custom connectors and lowering personal overhead. Fivetran allows data teams to focus on analytics rather than debugging, and the setup is very easy and intuitive.

  ### 2. Simplifies Connector Management, but Manual Fixes and Observability Still Hurt

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

We switched to Fivetran in order to stop maintaining our own ad-hoc connectors, which was brittle and time consuming. Fivetran definitely helps with hiding the complexities of connectors, retries, mapping of fields, etc. It makes it painless to add new connectors, too.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

For a product aimed at reducing complexity, we still experience regular problems (once or twice a month) with connectors requiring manual intervention. Also, observability is not straightforward: there used to be a log which could be accessed from the UI, which was then moved to a destination that can be queried with SQL; while the latter is more flexible, for quick checking of problems the UI-accessible log was better. Furthermore, the destination-as-log can be impacted by outages, resulting in situations where you are blind to what the actual problem was.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran solves one specific problem for us: fast integration of third party data sources into our data platform.

  ### 3. Sampling Data We Love

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alpana c. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The sampling data helps me prepare Press releases, case studies, data-driven stories, study patterns etc. It gives me insight into cultural shifts happening geographically. When I was working for a sustainability site, Census helped me find information about funding, allocation, and more. It is also a very reliable benchmark source for studies and surveys.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Sometimes data can be outdated. Census data is collected every 5 or 10 years so one might question if the data is even reliable or not. I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Census.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepare highly relevant press releases and data-driven stories that have a high chance of getting published on journalist pages.

  ### 4. Fivetran has been our

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharna H. | Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The best thing about Fivetran is the wide range of connectors with almost every data ingestion service and the ease of use. Automated schema handling and incremental syncs make it particularly strong for scaling ingestion across many systems.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

We have occasionally seen unexpected full reloads, which can be disruptive for high volume tables. MAR (Monthly Active Rows) pricing also lacks transparency and can quickly escalate for frequently updated datasets. In some cases, the fully managed nature of the platform limits deeper customisation.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran benefits us by giving us reliable, low‑maintenance data ingestion with minimal engineering effort. Its wide range of connectors lets us onboard new data sources quickly, while automated schema handling and incremental syncs reduce breakages and manual work. Overall, it speeds up our data pipelines, improves reliability, and frees our team to focus on analytics rather than managing pipelines.

  ### 5. Reliable Data Sync That Keeps Everything Up to Date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa S. | Business Intelligence Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I love that it keeps our data in sync and up-to-date as often as we need it and it's very reliable and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

That I have to pay for it, but the price is reasonable considering the value it provides.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to sync our Salesforce data, Google Analytics data and data from other systems very easily and we don't have to think about it and we didn't have to build API's or packages to do this.

  ### 6. Effortless ELT

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke M. | Senior Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like that Fivetran requires low maintenance and ensures data integrity and recovery with minimal custom scripting. I appreciate how it abstracts much of the 'EL' work, letting us focus more on delivering solutions. It saves us time from fiddling with extract and load processes, so we can concentrate on solving problems for our stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

More detailed errors and log history would be ideal. Clearer root cause rather than generic error messages would help us debug or triage.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran is low maintenance, ensures data integrity and recovery, and requires minimal custom scripting. It abstracts much of the 'EL' dirty work, letting us focus on solving stakeholder problems instead of fiddling with extraction and loading.

  ### 7. Direct Data Warehouse Integration That Just Works

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nayan S. | Manager Analytics , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I can connect it directly with my software and get the tables in my data warehouse

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

some connectors are not yet available - like centric plm, wair tool. Shipmonk was not there but they just added now.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the data fetching problem for us, we cant manually fetch data everyday and upload that to our data warehouse - which is the advantage for us.

  ### 8. User-Friendly with Vast Connectors, But Needs Better Error Transparency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucy W. | Valuation Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like Fivetran's easy-to-navigate UI and the variety of connectors it offers. It's easy to manage a bunch of different connectors and data sources all in one place. I also appreciate that Fivetran provides an easy low-code ETL solution.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Sometimes we get obscure or silent failures that require reaching out to Fivetran support. It's hard to tell which side the error is coming from (Fivetran or the system it's syncing from).

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran provides easy low-code ETL, making it simple to manage various connectors and data sources in one place. Its user-friendly UI and wide array of connectors are beneficial.

  ### 9. Reliable Data Replication with a Useful New AI Connector

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nayan S. | Analytics Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Fivetran just launched a new AI connector feature which i find very useful where can create a connection if that is not natively available. Apart from that it is very reliable and efficient tool for data repliaction.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Nothing major as of now. I’ve just noticed that a few niche tools aren’t available.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data fetching and inserting into our data warehouse.

  ### 10. Easy Connectors and a Smooth Setup Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roel T. | Digital Communicatie Strategist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Easy connectors; really satisfied with the setup.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

I get far too many email updates about services I don’t use, and it’s becoming annoying.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting the business information I need without having the technical skills to build the connectors myself.
