"FirstTouch Makes LinkedIn Outreach Feel Personal -With Built-In Approvals"
5/5
What do you like best about FirstTouch?

We’re a signals company, so we always have a list of people worth reaching out to. The hard part was actually doing it on LinkedIn without it feeling spammy, and that’s what we use FirstTouch for now.

We hooked up our Clearcue MCP and the FirstTouch MCP in Chat. Every morning it pulls our new signal matches, writes a short message based on the signal, and sets up the LinkedIn steps in FirstTouch. Connection request with no note, the message once they accept, a quick follow-up 3 days later, and an InMail if they still haven’t accepted after 14 days.

The approvals are the main reason we’re OK letting AI run this every day. Nothing goes out until one of us signs off, and we do that right in Slack, where you can approve it, tweak the message or cancel it. Before it adds anyone, it checks whether they’re on our exclusion list, already connected to one of us or already in a sequence. It paces everything so we stay under LinkedIn’s limits, and hot signals can skip the line.

There’s an API too that does the same stuff, approvals included, so you could kick this off from a webhook instead of an AI assistant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FirstTouch?

Honestly it took a bit to get set up and learn how everything works. You’re connecting LinkedIn, HubSpot, the MCP and Slack, and each rep has to be mapped to their Slack user for approvals. The product does a lot, so it took us a bit to really get how audiences, flows and dynamic actions fit together. It’s been easy since it clicked, just give yourself some time up front.
