"Fast No-Code Workflows with AI Activities and Strong Integrations"

What do you like best about FireStart?

What convinces me the most is how quickly complex business processes can be implemented without much code. With the drag-and-drop process designer and FireScript for data logic, I build approval and document workflows that used to require days of coordination via email, often in just a few hours – this regularly saves several days of implementation time per process in customer projects.

The AI activities are particularly helpful: documents and emails can be automatically read, classified, and further processed directly in the workflow without having to program a separate AI connection. This significantly reduces manual rework and makes processes that were previously considered 'non-automatable' suddenly feasible.

The integrations (interfaces to ERP/DMS systems) and forms/tables also fit well into existing system landscapes, so customers can often introduce FireStart without major IT changes. What do you dislike about FireStart?

In more complex processes with many branches and conditions, the process designer quickly becomes confusing – it's easy to lose track of which path leads where in larger workflows. For colleagues without a technical background, getting familiar with FireScript for more complex data logic and conditions is also not entirely trivial; I would like to see more practical examples in the documentation, especially for advanced functions like custom JavaScript activities or more specialized integrations. Some of these things currently have to be figured out through trial and error or via support, rather than being found directly in the documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FireStart solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before FireStart, many of our processes were still manual and paper-based. Hardly anyone knew the complete workflows, and it was often unclear who was responsible for which step. With FireStart, we sat down once and cleanly modeled all relevant processes from scratch – since then, everyone on the team knows exactly how a process should run and what steps are necessary.

In the next step, we automated these processes, partly with human intervention at certain points (Human-in-the-Loop), partly completely end-to-end without manual steps – this is where the platform is really strong. In a process cost audit with FireStart, we identified savings potential of around €370,000 per year, which we have now actually realized.
