"FineReader : One Stop Solution For Your Data And Documents"
5/5
What do you like best about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

It’s a one-stop solution for PDF files. I use it with my clients to share PDFs, make the changes they request, and convert their physical data into digital form. One of the best things about FineReader is its OCR: it’s very good. It analyzes PDFs really well and converts them into readable text, and its intelligence is excellent for this price point.

For example, I have a transporter client who maintains a register and wanted the data online. I scanned the register, used FineReader, and converted it into a digital format that was editable and searchable. The client was very happy.

The user interface is simple and easy to use. The editing features are also very good, because most of the time clients need a few changes or data updates over time, and we can easily edit those.

Even old documents work well with the OCR reader, so the performance is just amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

One of my dislikes is that, for handwritten data, sometimes its OCR needs re-evaluation. Different documents have different handwriting styles, so it ends up making mistakes in a few words.

Another issue is that the OCR reader doesn’t include Hindi. It should be included, as it would be helpful for Indian customers, especially since some of the older data is in Hindi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
