For an electrical and HVAC team, the main appeal of Field Force Tracker is having job information, work orders, schedules, equipment and service history together instead of keeping track of everything through separate spreadsheets or messages. The scheduling and dispatch side is useful for coordinating technicians, particularly when several jobs are happening at the same time. I also like the idea of technicians being able to update work orders and timesheets from the mobile app while they are actually on site. Having inventory, assets, contracts and customer information connected to the same workflow is another practical advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of available features means there is a learning curve. It would take some time to configure the system around the way an engineering or maintenance team already works, and new users would need some guidance before they are comfortable with all of the available functions. For a smaller team with fairly simple requirements, some of the broader functionality may also be more than they need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
