"Searchable Transcripts That Keep Me Present in Meetings"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

The transcripts are the feature I use most. They’re searchable, so I can find the exact moment a decision or commitment was made without rewatching a whole call. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and clicking a line in the transcript jumps straight to that moment in the recording. It’s also reliable: transcripts and summaries are ready almost as soon as the call ends, so I can follow up right away. The AI summaries give me a fast overview, and the transcript is there when I need the details right.

The unexpected benefit has been how useful the transcripts are beyond the meeting itself. I connect Fathom to Claude, so I can ask things like “what did we decide about X last week” or pull loose ends from several calls into my daily task list. It’s turned my meeting history into something I can actually work with instead of a pile of recordings I never rewatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

The main thing I’d like to see improved is accuracy with names and non-English terms. We use a lot of Hebrew and Jewish-specific vocabulary, along with names that have less common spellings, and those often end up coming out garbled in the transcript. Fathom does offer a Transcription Dictionary to help address this, but only admins can edit it, and it’s capped at 50 terms. For an organization our size, with that much specialized language, 50 fills up quickly, and regular users can’t add the words they notice are being missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
