The Fastly team has always been quick to respond and handle any requests and challenges we give them. We have utilized Fastly for their CDN, WAF, and DDOS protection service and have been happy with the results. We can see our client's site performs faster from different regions and have been able to additionally eliminate tasks we previously had our Nginx server. With the Fastly dashboard we can view and log any critical errors or high spikes in traffic live and historically. Certain tasks that I would do with an Nginx, AWS WAF, AWS CDN, and other 3rd party tools I can do all within the Fastly service. With Fastly there are so many solutions with their platform and they have been able to assist every step and can take any challenge we give them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Fastly Content Delivery? The only dislike is the cost can be expensive for our clients but they have been worth the cost. Learning VCL is critical to managing Fastly service which might be a negative for some people but the Fastly team has helped every step and they do a great job with documentation and allow you to use Fiddle to test your VCL code. The major problems we were trying to solve with Fastly is performance and security. Fastly has been able boost our page speed across our clients global sites in multiple regions while also having configuration and other Fastly tools in place to help with security. It is nice having Fastly as a shield into our infrastructure so that any traffic that is either legitimate or malicious has to pass through the Fastly infrastructure first. They have so much customization it becomes simple to restrict certain traffic while also configuring cache rules and other performance enhancements all within the same tool.
