**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

The ease of use is genuinely impressive. The user interface really stands out as clean, polished, and easy to navigate. Everything feels simple and streamlined, which makes the overall experience very user-friendly. It’s convenient to email receipts or upload them directly into the app.  Managing and reviewing expenses for employees feels effortless. Customer support was great and they took care of the implementation for me.

I can't think of a single thing. I am very happy.

The AI technology can read even lengthy bills, which has saved us from having to manually enter each line into an expense report. The notifications automatically remind employees to submit their expenses and managers to approve their teams’ expenses. Overall, it frees up a lot of time for both employees and the finance team.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

ExpensePoint has been a great tool for our organization. The system is extremely user-friendly, making it very easy for employees to submit and manage their expenses. All the training materials provided are clear, well-structured, and easy to understand, which makes onboarding and learning the system very smooth.

From an administrative perspective, their customer service team is outstanding — always responsive, helpful, and quick to resolve any inquiries. Their support makes the whole process even more efficient.

Overall, the experience with ExpensePoint has been excellent, both in terms of the platform’s functionality and the quality of support we receive. Highly recommended for any organization looking for a reliable and intuitive expense management solution.

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

There are a few areas that could be improved.

Occasionally, there are discrepancies in the accounting records, and sometimes American Express transaction data does not reflect correctly in the system. 

Additionally, from an administrative standpoint, setting up new users can be a bit complex and time-consuming.

The Expense Point team is always willing to help me. They have often helped me with employee registrations and answered questions about how to use the system. They have also provided me with information about different profiles.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

The ExpensePoint (EP) setup and support team are fantastic to work with. They are always available to help and provide support where needed. The implementation was pretty smooth, and the team was knowledgable. It took a bit of time to get up and running, but once the kinks were worked out it works almost flawlessly. The flexible pricing options are a huge positive for our company.
The platform is fairly intuitive, and the training provided by EP helped get our team up and running fast, learning the new system. I like that there is an app and a receipt reader. It can process automatic payments to our employees as well. Our team uses it daily to submit expense claims and approve expenses.

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

Some of the website and app are not as intuitive as they could be, such as setting up approval chains. There are also a few missing features, such as QuickBooks Desktop integration. However, the price for the system and service can't be beat.

**What problems is ExpensePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company used to use manual expense claims, filling a claim on Excel and manually scanning in each receipt. Then it would be sent to the approver and the accounts payable department to post and pay in the accounting system. ExpensePoint has automated just about all of this. The user can easily create and submit an expense claim from their phone, and the approver can approve it easily. The system then exports a report to import into QuickBooks Desktop. This is a huge time saver for us.

ExpensePoint has fully automated our process for how we handle credit card purchases and virtually eliminated the human error that used to come with it. We're also able to get everything reconciled much quicker now.

As with all new programs, the interface takes some getting used to. We've had some glitches come up from time to time but the support team has been excellent in helping us get it sorted out.

Nothing really to do with ExpensePoint, but more so with an internal culture and acceptance of new technology. We had a slow start, but acceptance increased across with internal support and guidance.

There is no trial period for even few days. Worse stil, I was prepared to buy 1-month subscription to see if this meets my use case. There are videos to explain functionalities, but that does not tell me if my needs will be met. Unfortunately they want you to buy 1-year subscription straightaway.

Software is not  like buying potatoes; its something you want to stick to if you like. So I decided to not pursue this further

I am really impressed with the expenses categories and how they are simplified yet detailed enough so it takes no time at all to record my expenses.

What I like least is we currently use cards which have a monthly limit per employee no way to request a higher amount within the app.

ExpensePoint is easy to use and allows receipts to be entered via drag and drop. User roles include both submitters and approvers and approvers can be assigned to specific submitters.

The itemization feature allows expense to be coded to different categories of expense but not to a different project.

Our expense reports are easier and we have put a new travel policy in place. It helps us evaluate time spent on traveling and to schedule trips conveniently.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

As an administrator that has been inside a few different expense environments over the years there were a few features I loved! 

 

1 – the Dashboard and the ability to put any link we want up is a powerful training tool that helps with Onboarding and live updates to policy and procedure 

 

2 – the OCR is very accurate and the re-read function guarantees that almost every single receipt will have some data pulled. 

 

3 – The backend GL set allows for almost limitless combinations so you can parse down problems to very specific flows and create custom categories that go as deep as only a single user can see them if you want it that way 

 

4 – The output file at the end of the process is very flexible and can be morphed to connect or upload to any system 

 

5 - The credit card rec report is amazing and gives you live visibility into every line from your credit card data with a couple button clicks 

 

6 – Per report billing is an interesting option that helps us save money against most other systems due to a high-volume of infrequent users on our end 

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

The Analysis Module didn’t have a self-customization function. I would have loved the ability to self-design unlimited reports. If you want a custom report, you have to request it and it will be billable. We needed a report on a very specific field from our GL setup and it was hidden unless we created a custom report. 

 

The duplicate flagging is still a work-in-progress and we use an Excel spreadsheet and a formula to check for duplicates on our meal allowance because the amounts are very repetitive, and the flag would not work due to this repetition of the amount on a nearly daily basis. 

 

Temporary changes to approvals is a manual process. There is no vacation coverage module and if you discover a report that is stuck with the wrong approver, it is a few administrative steps to unstick the report. Other systems do have ways to delegate approval or quickly change the approver even after submission.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

When I was comparing expense management systems, ExpensePoint was the only one that had an actual human being call me to connect and answer any questions. They didn't send me a link to a generic demo video - they scheduled a personalized demo where I got to ask questions and have concerns addressed. When it came time to implement the system, we were assigned a trainer who did multiple admin training and a basic user training session. I also loved that Expenspoint was always completely transparent about pricing (other companies were not and then you only realize you need extra programs or add-ons after you've already committed). Their customer service is also great - very responsive and again, you get to speak with an actual human if you need to.

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

I wish there was a way to see a demo of how ExpensePoint data gets pulled into Quickbooks. That would have been great. We haven't gotten that far (need to sign up with Transaction Pro) and I'm sure I'll see it soon - but it would have been an advantage to see this action sooner (it also would have convinced us to sign up sooner since Quickbooks interaction was one of our main concern points).

**What problems is ExpensePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to wrangle paper receipts every time we needed to do an invoice. We also had to upload all of our receipts as either photo images or PDFs of order confirmations to Dropbox, and then manually transcribe the data into excel sheets and attach all receipt files as one PDF along with our invoice. There was so much manual work. We've only started using it but it has already streamlined much of this painful process. I'm excited to see how Expensepoint may help us easier reconcile our corporate cards in Quickbooks.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

The ease for the users is fantastic. They can do everything from their phone. Once the learning curve has been navigated, it is very user friendly.
As administrator, I love that I can view employees receipts at any point in the process (when they're in their wallet, once they've filed them in their report, or once they submit the report). I can navigate all of it from my phone, tablet, or laptop.

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

The migration from ExpensePoint to Quickbooks 98 is not nearly as fluid as I was expecting. We had to download and subscribe to a third party software that converts the expensepoint report from .csv to a version that works with QB. 
Also, instead of migrating one batch of expenses as the end of the week, we have to run one batch for Visa charges, one for MasterCard charges, one for Visa credits, and one for MC credits.

**What problems is ExpensePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our employees that use ExpensePoint are getting their receipts uploaded quicker than when we were using paper reporting. Even though it puts more work on the administrator, it is saving time for all of the employees and allows the admins easy access to employee expenses throughout the process.

Not much that I have found although the  Automation Manager function could use some improvement such as retaining the report title after it has been approved prior to downloading. It is still much better than our ERP's version of reporting.

**Recommendations to others considering ExpensePoint:**

I was tasked to research and find a suitable expense reporting system to aid us in the cumbersome task of tracking credit card purchases and traveling expenses. I look at several competitors and found Expense Point to be the best fit for our company.

We have been able to streamline our expense reporting and  reduce the time it takes to update our financials and reconcile our credit card accounts. It also allows me to edit the transaction and make corrections prior to posting it to the accounting system.

The customer service is great (especially Kelly from the implementation team)--always available, friendly, and helpful. The app is intuitive. The website version is pretty easy to use, once you get the hang of it.

The sales team doesn't fully disclose all possible add-on charges.

ExpensePoint is, in my opinion, the best expense software service out there. No software is perfect, and you need to make sure you're very specific about asking how much each add-on service costs (Cycler integration, ACH reimbursements, etc.). But ExpensePoint really is great.

**What problems is ExpensePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to spend much more money on an expense software service, and it didn't have an accessible customer service team. ExpensePoint solved that problem by being consistently amazing and customizable to our needs.

**What do you like best about ExpensePoint?**

I love the ability to take a photo of my receipt as soon as I get it in hand, and upload to view or modify later. This helps eliminate the risk of losing or misplacing receipts and missing expenses. The actual app is so easy to use and navigate; It's pretty self-explanatory but the ExpensePoint team was great at onboarding us to knowing the ins and outs. The app even saves your expense so that if you have recurring expesnes each month, it's easy to submit them quickly.  The chart that captures where you spend most of your money is also a great tool to be able to monitor where expenses are going the most.

**What do you dislike about ExpensePoint?**

There really isn't much that I dislike about ExpensePoint. I would want to see a feature where you can filter things when searching for past work or when looking at everyone's work.

**What problems is ExpensePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone who works in finance, I find the feature of uploading your G/L codes right into the software really handy. It helps for the Accounting Clerk who needs these to enter the expenses in our accounting software. It also helps prevent errors, because people can see exactly where they are coding their expenses, and you can allow certain G/L codes to be used for certain employees.

When we decided to implement the software, the support team was very helpful in setting up and customize the software to our needs. They also provide excellent ongoing support as needed. The software is easy to use and we find it very useful to monitor our employees' expenses.

I have no issues with the software. Each time I thought something didn't work correctly, I reached out to the support team, and they showed me how to use the feature I needed.

1. we have our expense policy programed, and we see any deviations
2. we can run reports by expense type and by employee, so we get better control of our expenses. 
3. the approval process is easy - the expense report goes first to the employee's supervisors, and then to the CFO, and onward to accounting for payment.
4. employees upload their receipts, and we can match the report to each receipt.

Comprehensive and adapted well to our workflow; ExpensePoint hands-down has the best customer service in the tech/cloud-based industry. Even though we are a small company we were never made to feel that way.

ExpensePoint replaced a very exhausting paper-based system/basic spreadsheet-based system which made it difficult to perform accounting and maintain accountability. Having used the program for year, I can't say enough about how much we have gained - attaching receipts to expenses for better tracking, correcting expenses before they are entered into our accounting system and making it easier for our annual audits. There is also more productivity with the receipt wallet feature. Our employees love the system and we've received good buy-in. Now we are always below our monthly page budget for printing by 50%.

Employee Mileage Reporting - This shows where when and how long
