User-Friendly UI, Fast Processing, and Brilliant AI in Everlaw - Sam Maguire **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Sam M. | eDisclosure Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026 **What do you like best about Everlaw?** The UI is much more user friendly than other eDisclosure platforms which means legal teams are much happier when using it. I like the processing speeds which you get in Everlaw which means uploading large data sets is as pain free as possible and also the certifications that you can take really help to make you feel comfortable on the platform. Intergration is geting much better as well with the advent of Claude connectors, and the AI offering is now brilliant and we are noting clients loving AI. Being a partner we can not offer good rates for clients but still sometimes hear platforms like relativity are cheaper. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** Very little to be honest, sometimes updates are made unneccesarily I think which cause minor confusions i.e. the moving of buttons to different places otherwise really not much else. Actually, setting up coding layouts and that being a database/project admin meaning you don't get automatic access to all coding layouts on the platform is absurd, must change **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping with all the traditional eDisclsoure and DSAR issues that it is created and meant for. However we are finding that with the evolution of the platform and the GenAI, RAG Models and Agentic AI integration with Claude it is now becoming much more than just a eDisclosure and DSAR tool and can be used for a number of different bulk repetative tasks that legal teams need to carry out like, bulk redactions, summarisation of documents etc ### 2. Ease of Review with powerful tools and story builder AND AI workflow including Deep Dive **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Manuel D. | Litigation Support Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019 **What do you like best about Everlaw?** Since Everlaw updates their software monthly and assists users with allowing them to provide user input into new modifications or new additions to everlaw. This is very helpful and useful as it takes knowledge mananagment (tacit or explicit knowledge) and allows Everlaw to use that to improve their product to help the end user in what ever portion of the eDiscovery platform they are using in Everlaw, be it storybuilder, or productions, or even legal hold. In addition the new AI improvements have been great, from their new product Deep Dive, Deep Dive transcripts, suggestive coding and Everlaw Assistant, the accuracy of these results has greatly improved and assisted with identifying important documents or relevant documents. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** in the outline there is no ability to transfer all the documents over at once. Also visualizer needs to have better hit results for over 1000. I would suggest a feature that would allow a user to see all the hits and possibly check them off. The depth still needs to be revisited. I would also have search features for the "produce to" field since at the moment your not able to filter that column. **Recommendations to others considering Everlaw:** I would suggest that they complete the training and practice so they can easily get up to speed on their task. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** ease of tagging and producing documents in shorter time including power processing and naming options. better turnaround for production sets, and autocoding that allows a user to leverage a combination of predictive coding and generative AI to complete a production in a shorter time frame saving a client money, and the ability to add the work flow for suggestive coding. - helping to summarize your documents and provide key topics on the fly is awesome and critical when on a deadline. **Official Response from Emma Johnson:** > Hello, Thank you for leaving us a review! The UI is extremely intuitive; its tagging/coding feature is extremely easy because of its autosaving feature and ability to code documents as a group. Its flexibility across the variety of needs in projects is another big plus, because it means that you aren't stuck creating workarounds that will make the most sense for your project--you can just change it out to what works best for you. I think that the AI features for grouping are helpful to create assignments for team members so that they are able to consistently code documents without having to swap between a large variety of contexts. Finally, Everlaw's breadth of training materials has been extremely helpful in getting me started using the platform. The variety of videos, articles, and real-time support have all come in handy throughout the various issues I have encountered. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** The system for searching, creating binders, and the general UI and organization of the home/landing page are probably my least favorite part of Everlaw. It doesn't make a lot of sense to have random lists like that in terms of the way that I work, so I was very confused when I first showed up. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everlaw is solving the tedious workload of going through a large volume of documents. Its speedy interface and fast ability to save, retrieve, and organize coded documents is helping me work as efficiently as possible. ### 4. The AI tools are also genuinely useful for summarizing documents and speeding up review workflows instead of feeling like gimmicks. That said, some of the more advanced workflows can still be confusing, especially around productions, tagging, and large-scale case management. The platform is fast overall, but I’ve noticed occasional lag when working with very large datasets or bulk actions. Integrations are decent, but not always as seamless as I’d like when connecting with other legal tech tools. Overall, Everlaw feels more user-friendly and forward-thinking than a lot of legacy platforms, but there’s still room to improve workflow flexibility and scalability for power users. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everlaw is solving a lot of the inefficiencies that come with traditional eDiscovery workflows. Instead of relying on slow, manual document review and outdated systems, the platform makes it much easier to search, organize, review, and collaborate on large datasets in one place. The cloud-based setup also makes remote collaboration way smoother for legal teams. The biggest benefit for me has been speed and usability. Searches are fast, the UI is much cleaner than older platforms, and the AI tools help summarize documents, surface key information, and reduce the amount of manual review work needed. That saves a lot of time during investigations and litigation prep. I also like that Everlaw feels more modern and collaborative compared to legacy eDiscovery tools. It helps keep everything centralized instead of jumping between disconnected systems, which makes workflows more efficient overall. ### 5. The Storybuilder lets the user create a chronological story of the issues, helping you pull the key points together in a clear narrative. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** Everlaw is backed by AI power, but it’s confusing to tell when the AI features cost extra versus when they’re included. And when they do cost more, it’s still unclear how much additional cost to expect. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Recently, a client was given a 2 TB data dump. By using Everlaw’s filter tools and ECA, we were able to whittle that down to 500 GB. ### 6. This allows me to streamline our efforts and creates much greater efficiency when reviewing documents while keeping our whole team on the same page. I am able to categorize my data as it comes in from clients, and quickly combine the different pieces for production. Being able to have documents tagged and organized in folders allows me to keep working efficiently. The tool allows me to do this efficiently with just one click. Everlaw is much more user-friendly, giving us a consistent workflow across our projects that all our teams can use, making document review, tagging, and production more efficient. The initial setup was very easy. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** I don't like the way Everlaw handles emails and their attachments. It's difficult to make sure they're produced together while keeping my filters in place, like dates and title order. Also, if a document is attached to an email and I want to segregate it, I have to do that manually and upload them individually. There's no way to do it within Everlaw. Everlaw has a great feature for splitting PDFs, but it lacks the ability to combine documents back together that I may receive split. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Everlaw to streamline document review efforts, boosting efficiency and team alignment. It allows quick tagging, flagging, and organizing like on a desktop, and efficiently categorizes data piece by piece for seamless production. ### 7. The translation tool is excellent and very easy to access and use, allowing me to review foreign language documents accurately. I also like how easy it is to request new batches since everything is on the same page, eliminating the need to check in batches. The initial setup was very easy, which was a nice surprise. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** I'd like to be able to zoom in or out the coding panel, making it adjustable to the size of the computer screen. When I'm on my laptop, which has a small screen, I like to have the whole coding panel in view if possible. Right now Everlaw doesn't let you do that. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everlaw streamlines document review with a clean interface and easy batch requests. Its translation tool accurately handles foreign documents, reducing the need for specialized reviewers and saving costs for clients. ### 8. The credit system for AI tokens is also less than ideal but it is nice that it is offered. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to review large data sets without the strain that usually comes with that ability. I appreciate how it separates viewing a document from the main menu, so I can easily go back and forth and see how many documents I have reviewed without leaving the menu window, which provides flexibility. I find it handy for running searches of other documents, as it allows me to run searches more smoothly. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** There should be a feature that alerts me if I forget to completely tag each document. When I review the document, I have to mark off different buttons showing I have completed the document, and it allows me to move to other documents without alerting me that I need to complete it.
