What do you like best about Esker?

One of the main positives about the Esker solution is that although it is an 'out of the box solution' Esker understands that not all business will have the same processes and systems. Esker has the flexibility to allow us to build the system the way we require it to work best for our business. The other big positive for me is the service we receive from the Esker. The continuous support that is provided by the Esker Team means we feel more like a valued customer, and that we are not forgotten about once the product has been implemented, which is what some solution providers to.. I also love the fact that Esker never sit still with their solution. They always seem to be on top of what the market changes are and are open to listening to their customers with suggestions for future improvements and are committed to making their solution the best it can be. What do you dislike about Esker?

It’s not really a dislike, more a frustration. From time to time we run into standard functionality that doesn’t always work as expected. For example, PO header matching works perfectly on a PDF invoice, but it doesn’t work for an EDI invoice, even when the invoices balance. This prevents touchless posting, because it still tries to do line-item matching when, in this situation, it doesn’t need to. My aim is to increase my “touchless posting” percentage, which I am achieving, but I would get there faster if this issue were resolved.

My other frustration is the quality of the Esker Anywhere App. Although it’s presented as an app, it isn’t really on par with the quality of the rest of the Esker solution. Our field-based colleagues struggle with it when submitting expenses and find it very clunky. It’s also not possible to use the dashboard feature in the app to navigate through the different screens and options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Esker solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Esker AP module has allowed us to be able to remove some of the non-value added tasks from the team, so that they can concentrate their time on the value added tasks which benefits our business much more. This has been achieved by having the ability to 'touchless post ' invoices automatically. Create reporting much more efficiently with the data export option and the very detailed reporting suite that Esker offers.

The Esker Procurement Module gives us the ability to create purchase orders for goods and services required by our business but not sold on to our customers. This is essential for committed spend tracking and also allows for ensuring that the correct approval workflows are followed.

The Esker Expenses Module provides a platform for colleagues to raise expense claims, again ensuring that the correct authorisation workflow is followed. The reporting suite is great for tracking of this spend area and for audit purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
