I really appreciate Esker's consistency, having used it for more than two years, I have not had to worry, stress or react to any surprise issues where Esker had any fault. As an admin, I value the ability to create and schedule customized reports, which is a feature I really appreciate. It's easy and intuitive to use, simplifying interactions for our customer service representatives (CSRs). They can continue to receive purchase orders from customers the way they always have, so there is zero impact on the customer's current operation and processes. Our CSRs can use Esker to convert customer POs to a standard EDI format which we then are able to import into our ERP. Whether we use auto-validation or allow CSRs to review orders before validating, they can spend less time manually keying in orders and more time on value-added activities. The project team at Esker made implementation extremely easy with a great project plan that was easy to follow. We also were able to make a handful of enhancements during our implementation that made it 'fit' our process better. Since implementation, we've had proactive and responsive support. There is not much I don't like about Esker. I only hope the recognition capabilities improve with AI as time goes on. At this time, some of our larger volume customers aren't great candidates for Esker extraction due to variability in PO forms. In the future, I'd hope free text and even images could be recognized and mapped to potential matches (item IDs, etc). Esker does what it does very well. As AI advances, I'd think it could be applied to be a bit more intuitive about extracting or recognizing or translating what is in a document, string of text or even image.
