What do you like best about Epic Cogito?

It is very intuitive and user-friendly. You can almost see information about everything in the record viewer and it provides great self-service reporting tools in the form of Slicerdicer, metrics, RW reports, BO reports, Crystal reports, and dashboards. Dynamic and static data can easily be identified and navigated with this powerful robust tool. Everything resides on Hyperspace that a user needs to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epic Cogito?

There are certain build concepts for which we need to rely on other people or we may not have access at either org level or Epic level. For example, extensions are something built using M code by the Epic developers and are not available to the customers to view how they actually interact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Epic Cogito:

Need to get certified and be prepared with some kind of trade-offs that it has to offer. But overall, I think it's doable when it comes to the kind of support they provide and resources with their tool. Understanding and finding the right data points sometimes is really challenging but it comes to a great deal of support from other healthcare orgs and from the Epic representatives themselves. What problems is Epic Cogito solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our whole hospital has adopted this EHR and is really happy with the results. We have taken a lot of SU and upgrades offered by Epic and are now in the optimization phase trying to produce and leverage better healthcare activities and workflows out of Epic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
